800 loop appears closed
Grumpy and Grandma replied to YENSIDCAMPER's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
Welcome to the group. Glad you decided to join us. -
We always use 75, but of course we are starting in Cincy. The one (actually several) advantages are the only Mt. you have to climb is Jellico at the KY/TN border, 77 has bunches of long climbs. There is also a KOA at exit 5 in GA, but Eagles Roost is very nice. Depending on how long you want to drive there is a KOA just south of the GA/TN border also. That is 360 miles for us and that's usually about how far we normally travel. Also going through Atlanta you can tow in the HOV lane. We always use it with the MH and have passed and been passed by many of the popo.

January/February it was one of those months. That's what so nice about long term stays at the FORT you forget what month it is. :rofl3: -

Yes, Ray does have a beard. In January "The Fort" did make her remove all the storage tubs and take them off site. She had a cargo trailer there which we were told she bought specifically for that purpose. The decorations were not the issue, the 40/50 +/-? storage tubs stacked next to her FW were. -

There is a nice YOGI BEAR JELLYSTONE in Madison which is just East of Tallahassee. Good overnight stop, right off the expressway. Also: -

Ray is in 400. I know he's been there for the last 3 years at least. -
Lou, hope you and Gail have an absolutely "wonderful" time.

That "sea" of humanity (and for some I use that term loosely) would drive Grandma up a wall.

Thanks, and as I said earlier this is definitely a "DO IT IF YOU CAN" cruise. There are many other, more exciting, shore excursions available as well.
