  1. I dont really trim it, I think the roll I've been getting comes is 3 foot in width, so I just kinda spread it out, overlapping itself until it's large enough to protect the ground cover. I have no technical skills AT ALL. Trimming would require a sharp object which the hubby has forbidden me to use around the children..
  2. I can attest to putting the painters plastic down under your ground cloth (CAROL IS A GENIUS!!) I would have tossed a $300 tent on my last trip had I had to clean all the crud off. I guess condenstaion builds up even if you are on dry ground, it becomes a wet sticky messy pile of goo. I did miss the corner and it took me a good 45 minutes to clean it off. Had I not used the painters plastic it would have been out of my patience level to clean!
  3. That's good to know, I told Hubby I need one of those Margaritaville Machines for mothers day, I plan to be prepared for fiends at Halloween this year! Are you and Rick going down?
  4. Holy smokes, I've heard of this place but never seen the website til now, I expected to see markup but it seems like they are a little on the expensive side, I dont remember, are those prices about average for the Orlando area? I was thinking this year we'd go shopping when we got there but looking at those prices, I need to think about that alittle harder. Do you guys carry your groceries with you or buy them there?
  5. I feel your pain, my kids struggle with school, my hubby and I were just talking about it, 2 out of the 3 school age will be in summer school this year. It was a hard decision to take them out for halloween but between our work schedules and a few other things we are commited to, this is about the only time we can go as a family. I went without hubby last year and I'd to it again if I had to but I missed him and my littlest princess, this will be baby Izzy's first trip! So I plan on letting the teachers know at the beginning of the year that way if there is any heart burn we will have time
  6. oohhhh.. I been eye balling one of those for a while, I have no sewing skills what so ever however, let me know if you figure it out!
  7. Yeah, I remember vividly when we outgrew my truck. :D But now I get to drive a big, bad van. :rofl2: Beautiful truck Ed!!!! Vans are the new corvettes... :rofl2: they hot don't care what no one says!
  8. Thanks Doodle, that's better than any old stinking fairy dust anyway!
  9. That's hot! It broke my heart when my family out grew our truck.. You can't get 4 car seats in there :rofl2: without duck tape anyway..
  10. Oh, that's a good one!!! I'm at that point in my life where a nice mid day nap out weights chocolate and sex.... ok, maybe that's stretching it a bit, I'm just sooooooooooo tired these days! Maybe not enough chocolate..
  11. Johnny Depp is an acquired taste. I have acquired it Johnny Depp ..ehh.. ok, but Captain jack... RARRRR!!!!! :rofl2:
  12. I purchased a $25 dollar gift card recently on www.disneystore.com. They ship for free and you get to pick the design that you want. I found out that you can't load more money online but you can call 1-800-362-4533 and add money via the phone. This can be done in $25 dollar increments up to $1500. Pretty decent deal I think, this is the method I use for "saving" for expenses in the parks, I just add money as I can and by the time we get to our trip, I have the extra funds onhand. I don't have to worry about "dipping" into the disney dollars this way either. I also inquired about Disney D
  13. I just talked to Steve, and I reserved a six seat cart for 8 days for $300, is anyone looking for a rental from Kenny? I have one reserved with him (4 seat) that I'll hold on to for a few days in case any fiends need one, thanks for the lead Jon! oh yea, my dates are 10/29 - 11/6
  14. Does Steve have 6 seaters? I dont think I know about him, I've only used Kenny and I loved him but he only has 4 seaters and generally sells out quickly on busy weekends.
  15. He is a stubborn man! Good thing he is purrty.. LOL Marty, is your bunch going to Stone Mountain?
  16. Can't convince the hubby to go to Stone Mountain, so I'm hoping a fiend or two might migrate to Gatlinburg. We are staying at Clauboughs Campground, would love to meet ya!!
  17. Hey Whip, I lived on Oahu for 10 years, I worked for Aloha Airlines (no longer in buisness) for 6 of those. I moved to Alabama from Hawaii 2 years ago, I'd be happy to help you in anyway I can. Alot just depends on how long your going to be there and what's "must do's" for your family. When you start planning again hit me up! There is so much more to Hawaii than than the touristy places can offer, I highly recommend Turtle Bay Resort unless Waikiki is more your speed, again depends on what your family is looking for. Me and mine like to take the path less traveled :0)
  18. Love it, I to got a little slack last year when I took my kids alone to the fort, it was a 12 hour drive, never tent camped for fun (my military exursions didnt really count) and first time at WDW. My kids are 11, 10 , 9 and 2... IT was awesome!! never once felt concerned for our safety. I will admit however, Disney is probably one of the very few places I'd do this. We checked out Racoon Mountain in Chattanooga this weekend.... wouldnt sleep there by myself... not impressed or maybe I'm just spoiled from our Ft. experience. Regardless, great report!
  19. Welcome Debbie! I love these chairs, Sam's Club have them on sale right now for $49 bucks! they are big and heavy but soooo worth it after a long day of chasing the kids :rofl2:
  20. How is it for towing? if you tow and if you do what size trailer? I'm courious what they are like as a T.V. im by no means a expert on towing but the old man loves it and prefers to use it to tow instead of his Chevy Silverado, we have towed a rented 28' TT, i personally have only towed it with a 5 x 8 utility trailer packed with camping stuff and a motorcycle.
