  1. I rented from Cruise America and did not have a problem. I have not read the story, but since I had no issues, no having to deal with the help line.
  2. We did the Western Itinerary in December. Should be much better in July. The weather was a little chilly for sitting at the beach. My main concerns of the Western cruise. 1. Port of calls are way too short. You can not get off the boat till late and then have to be back on early. Tendering at Grand Cayman is a PITA. I felt rushed and felt like I lost my whole day getting on and off the boat. However, I loved the cruise. The brunch is the best meal. The selection is awesome and I think it a lot better than Dinner.
  3. I can answer for Palo. We always tip the waiter a little extra when we have gone to Palo. I think there are a lot of people that do not tip above the surcharge. I do not think it is stated on any of Disney's sites.
  4. This is still a very hard ADR to get and will always be. The cost definitely is high. We are going for Christmas Breakfast.
  5. It is Southern Charlotte, NC. Half of it is in Rock Hill, SC.
  6. I just back from a a quick day Hershey Park in PA. As I posted when I was in the Park on my FB Account, that I now understand why I like Disney so much. Although the Cast Members may not want to be there, Most of them do not show that. They do whatever they can to make the day/vacation magical in anyway. At Hershey, it felt like they were being made to do it, did not care. I liked some of the Thrill Rides at Hershey, and my DD3 loved some of the kiddie rides, but the demeanor of the staff just did not make me feel wanted.
  7. Mo - I definitely understand what you mean about the Border Collies. We have 2 (1 and 11 years old). They do not care if they are hurt, they will keep on going till you physically have to stop them. jon
  8. I agree with others that making use of electronics have helped us out a lot. We are try to drive a lot during the night. We have been to Disney with our 3 year old 8 times so far and we drive from NC every time. Once in a while we break the trip with a stop, but most of the time we drive straight through. Your stops will be longer then you are used to, but it is nice to walk around a little bit or just sit and relax and not be in the vehicle. jon
  9. The bigger characters actually get rooms in the Air conditioning. I know a few years ago some were in the building that housed that Drew Carey ride/show. jon
  10. I think those pictures are awesome. My DD thinks it is normal to go to Disney a few times a year. She is 3 and has been to WDW 8 times, 9 & 10 scheduled, On a Disney Cruise and been to Disneyland. It helps that with work I sometimes travel to Orlando so that helps and same thing with the Disneyland trip. Most of my expenses and some of theirs were covered by my work. We are also members of DVC.
  11. Congratulations to the Twins! They are both going to great schools. I know you are proud of them and you should be. You should also be proud on how well you and Mrs TCD raised them.
  12. They actually let those waiting bring chairs and use the bathroom inside the park. They then let the people know that at a certain time they have to bring the chairs and stuff back to their cars. They also make an announcement when the last chance to use the bathroom is. They have to close the turnstiles at some point before the Normal people show up.
  13. All set up with Kenny. I missed his original call back and with the busy weekend, they were busy. They got back to me yesterday. I am all set for a GC for December 21 - 28. Looking forward to it.
  14. That is what I figured. Contacted Kenny through his website. Hopefully will hear from him soon.
  15. Clicking the link in the first page brings me to a Driver Error.
  16. I am wondering when he got a rocking chair. He started off by complaining he had to sit at the picnic table, then he is in a rocking chair. Did he take people out to get a rocking chair?
  17. I have ALWAYS said, especially after games, if Disney was running the traffic, everyone would be out of here so much sooner. As much I like to complain, to my party, about how long buses take I know that they there is a ton of things going on. Disney transportation is definitely one of the best out there.
  18. I have heard backlot tour and Lights, Motor, Action are going to be converted into Cars Land. After going to Disneyland and seeing Cars Land there, It would be awesome.
  19. I have a Thor Motor Coach and Love it. There are a lot of Class A's out there that now have the bunk. Mine is the ACE 29.2 model(acemotorhome.com). It is under $100K. I found driving the Class A was much easier then driving the Class C. I also felt more stressed pulling my little rPod TT that I had before this motorhome. I pull the Honda Pilot that I used to pull the TT.
  20. Had DVC since 2002 and love it. We have points at Beach Club and Saratoga Springs. I am also against a DVC at the fort. We have only started staying at the fort a few years ago and will be going in December. We mainly stay at the DVC resorts, but may do more camping after we see how the December trip goes. Would still use our points for DVC, not the fort. jon
  21. The Fantasy is beautiful. Went last year at the end of November. Hopefully will eventually be able to get a trip report going, but work is getting in the way. jon
  22. They start bringing the barges back immediately after Illuminations is over. We were there for EMH and got stuck at the bridge right after Illuminations.
  23. It said 9998 when I posted this, so it seems the view count is messing up.
  24. Did I miss what the "Adult" movie was? That was this TR it was suppose to reported on? or am I blending them all together? jon
