I truly appreciate all that Snarky and Fort Fiends has done to not only teach me more about Disney and camping, but also gave me some true friendships. We are family. This is evident in the out pouring of love we show to each other when one of our own has been sick, injured, let down or passed away.

Dang, we are leaving for Disney the next weekend so we probably wont make it, but we will drive up for a visit. Its not far from our house.
We will be glad to have you join us for however long you can. But, are you sure you don't want to use Desoto as your do we have everything we need for our Disney trip ready to go trial?

Checking our schedules. I just might! Fun, fun, fun.
Great!
I bumped up the Introduce yourself thread. It would be great to learn more about you and your family. I'm assuming you live in AL, TN or GA.

Oh how I love DeSoto! And the dinner in the lodge is extremely inexpensive. Wine is like $2 a glass. Seriously. It's like walking into 1979.
Please join us if you are able. If you do just let me know what site you book.

Due to various reasons, we decided to cancel this Grand Gathering.

Dollywood is on our list of a place to go to. I'm hoping to line it up with a change of colors trip this fall with a couple of days in Chattanooga to visit the Tennessee Valley Railroad.
Be sure you coordinate that trip to TN around the annual Defeated Creek GG. This typically occurs mid to late September.

Go a little further down the road to Smoky bear campground. Great little family owned campground
I second this.

The Womenz have rented their camper for the weekend and we are counting down the days to WWW2019.
We truly hope you can join us at this potluck if you are in the area.

In 2018 they extended the ticket offer to government contractors, but only those that worked directly with the customers (with CAC cards). Unfortunately, even though I've worked for government contractors for 25+ years, it's always been on overhead for corporate, so no CAC card..... Bummer
Steve has a CAC card. I keep watching to see if they will extend it this year. Last year it didn't happen until the fall.

We are planning a trip to the Fort in 2020 with our four grandchildren. Would it be better to go Spring Break (March 9) or early June (Starting May 29th)? We have never been to Disney before and would appreciate any help we can get. Thanks!
Welcome to Fort Fiends!
My first trip to WDW and the Fort was with my grandparents. Those memories last forever.
As far as your question goes, I have not gone at either time recently. I have heard that the spring break time tends to be quite busy.

Sorry to hear about his ankle. How far is the college he chose from home? What about from you?

Hello. We are coming Sunday. I can not wait to see this display. Can we get your loop area so we know not to miss this!
absolutley beautiful!!
Welcome to Fort Fiends! I hope you were able to see Kelly and Jason's fabulous display. I have to settle for seeing it via the internet. For as amazing as it is on there I can only imagine how much better it is in person.
Oh and if you did get to see it, I hope you let them know you're a FF member.

Gwen, I am sorry to hear about your back. Please never worry about keeping a trip report going constantly while you are at Disney. You're on vacation. One that you so needed after all you have been through these past couple years. We appreciate the time you take to share your photos and thoughts, but never feel obligated to do so.

So just in case you want to support a good cause and have a vow renewal, there is this option. Hurry it goes away in 19 days!

I think we need a TCD investigation, go rent a boat and get out the zoom lens.
I think this may call for an investigation by his cousin Yuri.

Frontier just recently came to Huntsville. Steve and Drew flew on it to Denver when they went to the Nebraska football game last month. Like you said the seats are not comfortable and they nickel and dime you on the extras, but the base rate of the flight is super cheap. We went ahead and got Steve enrolled under their Den savings program. So of course I am constantly searching for trips for us to take to Orlando and/or Denver over the next year.

Way to go CJ!

I hate all the trouble you had before getting there, but glad you made it and are enjoying your time there.

I read somewhere that the people in the hotdog cart were tossing out hotdogs in buns wrapped in foil.

I used to live near there in Odenton. I remember when that mall was built. When I go back to visit family, at least one trip must be made to Arundel Mills. Oh and going to Chevys is a must on the trip there.
