    Thanks for the welcome 🙂

I didn’t think about the comfort station toilets. It might be odd walking a bucket into the stalls, but It would work.
I remember seeing a lot of the tent sites with kitchen setups, so i figured I’d ask. I have read somewhere else (Facebook most likely) that people have dumped at open sites with sewers.

I know if you have tanks the Fort directs you to find an empty site to dump. That’s why I mentioned it.

My wife and I our coming back to the Fort in April, and are planning to do some cooking at our tent site. During previous trips, we haven't done any cooking, so we know that there is power and cold water at the tent sites. The concern becomes how to maintain a clean site afterwards (dishes in particular). We brought our own hose and bucket before, so now its just adding on some kitchen tools to our packing.

The question I have is what do people do with the dirty dish water after you are done cleaning up? From what I recall, there isn't a drain anywhere at the site. Is there a dump spot that dirty water can be disposed of properly, without letting it go outside of the sand area.

    Thanks, Derrick

They don't have a dump station. You could take it to an empty site on a site that has sewer and dump there. As far as I know illegal to dump on the ground and the big sink in the comfort station laundry is a laundry sink so not really good to dump there either. It's one reason I try to get at least a Full Hookup level campsite just for the sewer convenience.

    Welcome to Fiends btw!

March is when the opportunity to book a site opens up should we choose to have the Grand Gathering again this year. So as we are quickly approaching March, I figured we probably should get the conversation started. There are 4 weekends in September with the first one being Labor Day Weekend. They are 9/3-9/6, 9/10-9/12, 9/17-9/19, & 9/24-9/26.

I might be in a tent but if I can make I am going to try to do so. Any weekend should be fine with me.

  5. There had been a delay in over the phone bookings for campsite/room only reservations into 2022. This has now ended.

Book Your 2022 Disney World Vacation!

Disney has released room-only reservation and room/ticket packages for the first half of 2022 months earlier than would be typical!
For those of you who have decided to wait until 2022 to travel now is the time to contact me for a no-obligation quote!
    Here are some notable details:

    1) We can currently book packages with a start date of July 1, 2022 and earlier. Our expectation is that the window will continue to grow by a day with each calendar day that passes.

    2) Dining Plans continue to be unavailable. We hope these will be offered for these 2022 dates once Disney is able to up capacity in its restaurants.

    3) As announced, Magical Express Is no longer an option in 2022. Guests arriving by air are able to book a rental car through Alamo with their package or we can book you through a third-party provider.

    4) Most resort hotels that are currently closed with no reopening dates are still not available to book for these 2022 dates. The only exception (as far as we can tell) is Boardwalk Inn.

    5) Club Level remains unavailable. Again, our hope is that this is added back once things return to some level of normalcy. What Disney does not want to do is allow guests to book these and then have to cancel them later.

    6) While things may change at some point, at this time, Park Pass Reservations will be in place for 2022 bookings.

Am I the only one that likes to wing it?  who knows what I'll be in the mood for to eat or what ride I want to try 3 months or more ahead of time let alone that very morning.

We know which rides are our favorites or which restaurants we either really want to eat at again or try for the first time. This guarantees we get those specific things. We pretty much wing the rest.

Weren’t they just suspending sales previously?  Looks like they made a decision to end sales now.

Disney is allowing renewals. Also I believe they are allowing new sales for children in families with APs who are now turning 3 years old. The article as of my just reading it now does state the WDW program is suspended but not cancelled.

Disneyland has cancelled all sales and renewals of APs they will be revealing a new program later on. Probably closer to when they know they can ope and at what capacity they can open.

The pandemic hasn't helped much either. The two state campgrounds we could always go to on the spur of the moment even last spring are now booked solid months ahead. The rangers say it is mostly families with their kids who are on remote learning. My RV dealer also said they've seen an uptick in sales since the pandemic as families use camping as a way to get away from the house without having to be close to a lot of people.

I am actually hoping to take advantage of the sell off that will inevitably happen when people get to go back to their normal vacations.

Rooms & Packages – Frequently Asked Questions

    Q.  Do you have any pet-friendly hotels?

    A. Yes. As part of an ongoing pilot program, 4 of our Disney Resort hotels have designated dog-friendly accommodations, including:

These rooms have easy access to outdoor walkways for exercise and to green spaces with pet relief areas. Upon arrival, dogs and their owners will be greeted with a complimentary Pluto’s Welcome Kit.

At this time, dogs are the only pets allowed, with a maximum of 2 permitted per Guest room. Dogs are expected to be well-behaved, leashed in public areas and properly vaccinated.

While certain floors or sections of these Disney Resort hotels are designated as dog-friendly, the majority of areas remain canine-free to protect Guests with allergies. Other than service animals, dogs are not permitted in theme parks, water parks or common areas such as restaurants, pools and recreational spaces.

For more information, call (407) 934-7639. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.
