Our county library has reopened and are delivering books again..  Order then by computer and a few days later there they are sitting on your porch.  I have re-read all the Anne McCaffrey books of Pern that I own.  Now the library is delivering some I have missed.

Sadly Anne passed away a few years ago but her son Todd writes of Pern and I just discovered a Pern book written by Anne's daughter Gigi.

I am a big fan of the Pern books. Another pair of authors I quite enjoy is David and Leigh Eddings.

As I read some posts about having rv parked at cabins and having 2 RVs on a campsite it makes me think about the truck I hope to be towing with.   I am planning to build a truck with a small living quarters on it for hauling my trailer.  The living quarter part will not be allot larger than the sleeper on my semi truck ( I don't want to get carried away with length).  Is there any experience with hauling in with this type of truck or even a sleeper type semi truck?

I have seen others tow in with Semi's with sleeper cabs in them and those are fine.

  4. If you have been waiting for Fall 2021 Disney Cruise Line itineraries the wait is almost over. Platinum Castaway Club Members can start booking July 27. Full details at the link below direct from Disney Cruise Line.

If you are interested, the day itineraries go on sale is usually the least expensive time to book as the prices go up as the ship fills up. Let's get you locked in at the lowest price point.

We are tentatively camping there in August and again planning for a few weeks in September as we do each year. We know about the pool limitations and mask use. But what about the use of masks around the Fort? We ride bikes around a lot. Mask free? We have seen reference to being mask free in our own campsite but must we wear everywhere else? To this point we have hoped that there would be some freedoms out side your site in open areas enroute to trading posts, boat landing etc.

The only places you do not need a mask currently are the pool deck and at your site. If you are on a golf cart, bike, or walking anywhere else you need a mask.

  6. 2020 tickets and reservations back on sale tomorrow.

Direct from Walt Disney World. 2020 tickets and reservations back on sale. If you have something you are looking for for tickets or reservations at the select hotels that have reopened for 2020 dates let me know. I am happy to help!

    [email protected]

Magic is here! In just a few more days, we’ll begin welcoming the first guests back to the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, starting July 11 with Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and followed July 15 by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’re continuing to prepare for these openings in a measured and deliberate way, implementing health and safety measures with cast members and guests in mind.

As you may recall, earlier we had temporarily paused 2020 ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel bookings so we could focus on helping existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders plan their visits with the new Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system. We are glad to share that tomorrow, July 9, we are resuming Disney Resort hotel bookings, packages and ticket sales for 2020. In preparation, our booking systems will be unavailable overnight, beginning at approximately midnight Eastern this evening. When systems come back online in the morning, you’ll be able to purchase new tickets and plan future visits throughout this year with the Disney Park Pass system, which we are using to help manage attendance.

All guests with valid admission are required to make a reservation in advance for each park entry, so be sure to have your guests check the park reservation availability calendar before purchasing any new tickets. Guests should then go to www.StartYourDisneyExperience.com (www.CommencezVotreExperienceDisney.com in Quebec) after purchase to link their tickets and make park reservations. Reservations are limited and subject to availability.

When adding theme park tickets to a new 2020 package, your clients will now have the option of choosing tickets for 2 to 7 days in length. Certain ticket and package options, such as the Park Hopper option, Minnie Van Airport Service and Disney Dining Plan packages, are currently unavailable.

A new digital flyer and Facebook graphic will be available tomorrow in DisneyCopyright.com.

Please note that, during this phased reopening, some tickets, ticket options and Disney Resort hotels are unavailable, but there are still a variety of options to choose from.

Though the experience may be different than the last time your clients visited, there is so much to look forward to, with many favorite attractions and dozens of entertainment offerings available across all four theme parks, including special new character cavalcades and the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

When planning a visit for this year, we recommend checking out our “Know Before You Go” page on the Walt Disney World microsite, which features tips and information, including how to make park reservations after purchasing tickets.

We realize that everyone’s situation is unique, so if you have specific questions about upcoming plans, please call the Disney Reservation Center.

I have eagerly been watching my 500 day calendar so I could book our annual pilgrimage the week before Thanksgiving. I logged in this morning and can't find any availability in November 2021. Surely they are not all gone already? Has anyone else had luck booking for next fall?

Currently they have only reopened booking up to a check out of Sept 27, 2021. No word on when the rest will be released. As of when things went down we could only get to Mid-November under the new rules that went into place last year. Instead of 499 days to when you check out, it is now 500 days to when you check in plus 30 additional days. I am closely watching for when things come back so I can get clients booked as soon as it opens.

This is an important thread to follow.  I've had a reservation at the fort in August for over a year and I have not been cancelled.  My wife was able to get reservations at DW and HS while we were there but it involved many hours on hold.  Now we are thinking about cancelling because the first report we heard from the fort stated the pool was over crowded and Florida has not yet gotten the virus under control.  We could be happy with just driving the cart around and hanging at the fort if the pool was doable.  If there are people who have first hand experience at the fort it would be nice to hear from you.  We don't have to go to the parks but staying outside in August is not a vacation.  Masks can be adjusted to let more air in when no one is paying attention but sitting in your own campsite should be good enough for social distancing guidelines but if it is not I would like to know before I go.

You do not need to wear a mask at your campsite.

See, we're just the opposite (but yes local).

We've gone for the 4th of July week on two different trips and never went to the parks (Silver blackout dates),

Found it relaxing just hanging out, resort hopping (now blocked), and going to DS and off site shopping.

Not going to the parks, lets you feel like you're getting your $$ worth out of your site!

true but I am looking at a 2 day drive each way, cost of a rental camper, cost of a rental cart, and not being able to go to DS or resort hop since I havent found a mask that lets me breathe for more than 5-7 minutes with out my asthma kicking off badly. And that is trying to wear a mask up here while it was still May never mind in the Florida heat of July. We just couldnt find enough value in the trip at this time. I have another new masking coming (in about 4 weeks) but it is a very different design and I am hoping it will be the one that lets me go out again. While there are provisions for people with medical needs in CT to not wear one, in my area the chances of a physical, verbal, or Facebook attack for going out with out one are too high for me. I havent left the house except to go to ACE Hardware where they know me and have my back if needed for more than 2 months now.

I know they are taking baby steps and trying to limit exposure, but the Fort is a different animal than the rest of their resorts.

They could've tried 50% capacity and seen what happened.

From the FB posts, I guess a lot of people must've either cancelled themselves or been cancelled by Disney since everyone is reporting it's like a ghost town.

I dont think they actually limited the capacity of the Fort. I think a lot of people cancelled and summer is a slower period on top of it. I know we cancelled our week mid July as I still havent found a mask that works for me and we dont have a ticket for Silvia yet. So as much as we love the Fort sitting at the campsite for a week in July just wasnt appealing.

I have not heard of anyone who had a reservation during the time period the Fort was going to be open who was cancelled by Disney.

We have a 2013 Forest River Sunseeker.  It has an A B or Both selector for the speakers.  A plays only over the cab speakers, B is for the living area and Both is of course for both.  We have found that when we listen to the radio or CD the audio comes over all the speakers just fine, but when we listen to the TV over the speakers it does not come out of the rear or center of the living speakers.

Any one run into this issue or have an idea where to start diagnosing it?  I have not found anything that gives details on the wiring, but I have checked the audio out plugs from the tv.

I wonder if it is as simple as the tv only putting out a left and a right channel. Not surround channels. Are there any settings in the tv itself to set the audio output type?

I was looking at the park availability calendar and trying to some how, to figure out when and if we could squeeze a trip in before our now extended APs expire.

To my surprise when I was looking at calendar for AP holders it showed a lot of days in July and August unavailable for parks and some days that only some parks are available.
but when I clicked on the resort guests calendar those dates magically appeared.  Same thing when I clicked on Theme park tickets guest calendar.

I’m not a florida resident and we are not supposed to have black out dates.

Has any other AP holders had this problem?

They most likely aren’t blocked. AP holders and regular ticket holders scooped up a lot of the inventory for guests with out resort stays very quickly after it opened up for that on Friday.

the way I under stand it they made a certain percentage of the park pass reservations for onsite, another percentage for AP, and another percentage for ticket holders in general. Each group is separate from the others in terms of availability.

will they shift some availability around  as they go a long? I have no idea. I am sure they will want to use all of the capacity they have available to make the most money they can when they open.

  13. I had made a post on my business page about Virgin Voyages on my business page today and there was some interest in it so I worked up some rough pricing. Since I have it all worked up I though I would share it here. Keep in mind this is an Adults Only cruise line, no tipping, and many other things different from teh regulars. If you want more information feel free to say so and I can try to work up some more posts on it.

Here is the rough pricing. Not the most expensive or cheapest category. Pretty middle of the road.

    For 2 adults sailing June 20, 2021
Scarlet Lady out of Miami on a 4 night cruise with stops in Costa Maya and Bimini at their private resort.
    Regular Sea Terrace (balcony cabin)
    Total of $2180
A deposit of $370 with final payment of $1810 due February 20/2021
This includes Sailor Loot (On Board Credit) of $300

This is pricing using myself and Silvia and at the current rate showing. Prices and availability are not guaranteed until booked.
