Just because I would rather drag my camper 1,100 miles from Texas to Florida to stay at a campground hoping to get a glimpse of a big mouse then vacation anywhere else, that makes me weird? On second thought, that does make me weird and I'm proud of it! We're the same way, constantly planning. To us, spontaneous is a trip that is planned only 6 months to year away. :) I think I spend more time cleaning, maintaining, repairing and modding our trailer then we actual use it for camping, and that's okay with me!

My wife & I just booked our next trip to the Fort the other night. We check in on June 7th and check out June 21st, 2014! We actually had these dates on our calendar since our last trip ended back in June 2012, but we couldn't make our reservation for the 2014 trip until a couple of nights ago. It made we wonder if anybody else plans their Disney trips that far in advance or are we just weird? :) We like to go as often as possible, but going every 2 years or so works the best for us because we end up with enough Disney dollars on our Disney Visa to pretty much pay for the campsite and

We used to tow our 07 Ford Expedition EL behind our motorhome. It has a Remco driveshaft disconnect and Roadmaster brackets, tow bar & brakes. It probably has about 12,000 "toad" miles on it.. Before we had our third child, our toad was my 01 Mustang GT. It also had Roadmaster brackets and tow bar. It had a manual transmission. Now that we sold the MH and bought a TT, we now use the Expedition as our tow vehicle. I still have the Mustang too.

Kodiak anyone?
NLPRacing replied to Mama Steph's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
We picked up our Kodiak 300 BHSL last week. We're going camping this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes. -
Duffy the Bear expands his wardrobe
NLPRacing replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
This is why Disney is the King of marketing. When we got to FW a few weeks ago, my 5 year old saw the Duffy bed time thing on TV and just had to get a Duffy. When we meet Duffy at Epcot, we had to literally pry him off Duffy, it was funny. -

I named my Shelby after the car as well. -
Shelby gets extra kibble

I have a golden retriever named Shelby (she stayed home with Grandma this trip) and somebody in our loop also has a golden retriever named Shelby. Must be common name for dogs these days. -
Rented from Kenny...
NLPRacing replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in Off Property Rentals (Non Disney)
I'm currently at FW and the cart I got from Kenny is red and it's pretty fast. I clocked it at 22 mph using a speedometer app on my iPhone. You can't beat Kenny's carts! -
Headed to the Fort - 1st time
NLPRacing replied to dieseldave's topic in Camping To and From the Fort
We're leaving Arlington on Friday night when I get off work. We like to take I20 to Shreveport then south to I10. We usually just boondock somewhere near Lafayette. Have fun! -
Bye bye E-450
NLPRacing replied to Grumpy and Grandma's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
There is no reason for panic. The Transit (not to be confused with the smaller Transit Connect) will replace the E150 & E250 vans. However, the E350 & E450 cutaways will soldier on pretty much as is with minor cosmetic changes for years to come. The Transit is much like the Sprinter and is available in many configurations. It will also have much more efficient & powerful gas V6's as well as a turbo diesel I-5. This has been all but officially confirmed by Ford insiders. The Transit should make a great base for Class B's. -
I second that. I sealed up mine with Eternabond 2 years ago and still no leaks and looks as good as the day I installed it.

Utility Trailer Policy Enforced???
NLPRacing replied to Lou...'s topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Do the current rules allow more than 1 vehicle (not including camper) per campsite? I didn't think they did. -
Utility Trailer Policy Enforced???
NLPRacing replied to Lou...'s topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I don't see anything wrong with this. One of the things that ruin the Disney "magic" for us is seeing sites that are overloaded with vehicles, golf carts & trailers parked all over the site instead of being neat & tidy and having everything parked on the pad. I just hope it's enforced equally to everyone. -
How did you find Fort Fiends
NLPRacing replied to doodlebug....Cherie's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
There was a post on the "other" site (that was quickly deleted) asking where TCD was and when I chimed in to, a member there by the name of "MICKEYLOVINMOMOF5" sent me a PM letting me know about this place. Problem was, her message looked like this: They actually blocked text in a PM! She sent a second message and it was blocked too. Then for some reason, I did a Google search for "Fort Fiends" and found it and I'm glad I did! -

Checking For Ids At Pool
NLPRacing replied to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo..Karla's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We've stayed at the Yogi Bear campground in Burleson, TX a few times and they do the same. I didn't have any problem with it. I would love to see FW do something to keep non-FW guests out of FW. -
Quote I got from Tee Time today

I've been trying to talk my wife into letting me buy a golf cart to save on rentals. Kenny is making my job harder & harder. -
If anybody out there needs to replace their fabric on their slide out toppers, I thought I would share this info. I have a 2005 Georgie Boy Pursuit 3500DS with dual slides that came with the A&E slide out toppers. The fabric started going bad after just 3 years and was pretty much completely shredded at 4 years. I stopped by McClain's RV, a dealer that shares space with Camping World in South Fort Worth, Texas and had them quote me on installing new fabric. They told me about a $1000. I said no thank you. I called around and got prices ranging from $750 to $900 for OE replacement fabric.
