I have to agree with Dave, Defeated Creek is a beautiful and well maintained capground, I have to make that my #2 also, that doesn't sound right, my second favorite campground. For my pictures just take Dave's and move them over about 30 feet and put a tree in.

This is definitely a brag, but it's not sports related. Hope you will allow a slight hijack.
My boy graduated from high school this weekend. He had a myriad of medals, braided cords and sashes to wear. However, the big one was Summa Cum Laude. We don't think he is peaking in high school, but it was one hell of a good start!
We were extremely proud.

Since Baseball season has started for the Majors and the kids its about time we had a place to brag in Our Kids, Our Grandkids and anyone else we might just be proud of.
 
 
I will start, Ty , my grandson whom many of you know had hid first game of the season tonight 4/2/13, he started pitching and batted 3rd.
 
He pitched 2 shutout innings, walked 2 and struck out 4 I think, maybe 5. He hit 40 pitches and that was all the coach wanted him to pitch on opening night.
 
He walked twice (nothing to even swing at) and drove one to second and the kid couldn't make the play.
 
in the end, the score was 12-1
 
 
 
Now brag on, I would love to hear how the other fiend kids are doing, you got to love Little League or what ever sanction they play.

It's that time of year when all the Fiend alum gather for the high holy day known as Jennifers birthday, may the queen of the snarky have a fantastic birthday and not feel more than a year older!

We got there, we shot the bull, we ate like pigs and then we went home. Short sweet and to the point.
ok while I was writing Dave chimed in with the short and sweet report.
Seriously, We all got there safe on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I brought the TT set up shot the bull for a while then had to go home for the night so Ty could play baseball at 9 Saturday morning. Him and I got back about 1 on Saturday to find the fiends were ready to sit around some more and shoot that same bull. Somewhere along the line it was decided that we needed to eat, funny how that happens. Everyone took off to bring food, tables and grills over to my site, it was like one min we were there talking the next min there was a ton of food, tables and grill. Rick whipped out the steaks and it was on! Food was everywhere it was anal ports and elbows. I will not try to tell you how much different and very tasty food there was, but believe me there was plenty. The camp fire was lit and the weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. It got a little cool in the evening but nothing a campfire and a light shirt or sweatshirt didn't cure.
The kids all had a ball together, the little ones stuck together at the playground and the older ones did what older ones do. Bottom line is they all got along and looked out for each other.
We met some old fiends and we had some new fiends, thats the way it works with fiends. It was (and is) just amazing how we can all walk different paths in life and come together to enjoy each others company and friendship. I for one am thankful that we have all found each other and can enjoy camping whether it is at the Fort, Stone Mountain , Defeated Creek or anywhere we pull up out chairs and shoot that bull.
As far as I can figure we had 31 people at this GG including the kids, now that is a feat in it self to pull off.
Thats the best report I can come up with so "THAT'S ALL FOLKS!"

Great pictures, looks like the same griddle we have. I do Mickey pancakes like that too, sometimes I get carried away and the spatula isn't big enough to flip it, makes for a hit or miss adventure. It's funny how I ask the kids if they want pancakes and they say no untill I make a Mickey then it's a fight as to who gets the first or biggest one.
