  1. I believe there's not enough money to be made doing that. It's my understanding that's exactly what Disney did with rental trailers and with the real small guys/small units, there wasn't enough margin to make it worth their effort.
  2. I know this post is old. But, the answer is no. I tried getting a rental for this past summer when we thought we were going to be at the Fort and 2 different campgrounds and wanted a rental for 2 months. Longest story shortest, they won't let you put the golf cart in your truck.
  3. There will always be cases where a TPMS didn't help and yet there will many more cases where it did. Personally, I like the extra visibility into what's rolling behind me (even with upgrading the commercial trailer tires). That said, for those looking at LT tires- be aware that they typically have a lower carrying capacity than an equivalent ST tire. Make sure that you know your weights and don't put yourself into an overloaded situation by this upgrade. If you increase a size, make sure that you have room between and above the tires for the extra outer diameter of the tire. For me, I had no r
  4. Ok, I looked this up. Here's the restaurant page on the Disneyland web site, but it features the Monte Cristo: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/disneyland/cafe-orleans/ (The fries weren't anything special.)
  5. Your FOTLK photos make me feel like I am there! It's one of my favorite shows at the Disney parks. Great job!
  6. HS would be a great place for this ride, but I worry that Indiana Jones might be a little outdated. I know that they have the show- but isn't that closing down? I did actually find another TCD Twin, but the store was busy and I felt a little stalker-ish by that point. :)
  7. It's called a Monte Cristo sandwich. It's a giant fried bunch of dough with ham and cheese in the middle. A little powdered sugar on top and some kind of jelly on the side. I'm sure it has a much better description, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
  8. It's been about 6 months since my last weighing. Since we were 3 miles from the campground and stopped for fuel anyway, we stopped and got weights. Looks like I'm maxed out on the truck (40 lbs. over GVWR) and am 1,000 lbs. over on the camper's GVWR (maximum weight carrying capacity). Camper axle weights historically have carried about equal amounts, so they should be just shy of being maxed out; my tires are fine with the upgrade to 17.5" wheels. And I'm under all of the other truck ratings (GAWR, GCWR, maximum trailer). Fresh water tank (42g) and water heater (10g) were full. All 3 gray tank
  9. The possibilities are fairly endless. You'll end up with a few holes in the wall and floor from where things where. But the floor will fade away into the carpet. I think I'd consider pulling it and then putting in some Ikea cabinets to suit what you want. You could even put in a flip down (almost murphy-like) countertop if you really want a table/desk of some sort. You could build in a desk. All sorts of things. :)
  10. We were on our way to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I'm not really a fan of this at Disney World as I feel like it's fairly rough and not very fun unless you're in one of the last cars. The front cars are terrible - so slow while you wait for the end of the train to crest the hills. I thought their height checker was cute: I feel like I enjoyed it more than the WDW one. But my memory is a little fuzzy now. Before we headed on, we stopped by the Jingle Cruise to get a handicap return time. TCD says the Tiki Room at DL is better. I say that their seats are soo much comfier: I will s
  11. Good thoughts and I can see how you'd think that. We'll see how I feel being back in WDW in Feb. I'm curious now.
  12. I went back and re-read them (I'd actually written them last week but didn't post them until this one) and they made me laugh. I actually knew about Clarabelle because she's on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the boy used to watch that a lot (when we had cable OR had someone with cable). I didn't know her history though. But, I'm curious how many people know who Mooby is. It was and like TCD said- it was LONG! We enjoyed it. I enjoyed most everything about this trip better than my last visits to WDW, but I think it was that "new toy factor".
  13. One Man's Dream? Actually, more looks like Mickey's house in Disneyland. But that would be mean. :D
  14. I'm dab smack in the middle of a drive from San Diego to Florida. Relaxing might not fit that description... :D
  15. The nice part about Disneyland is that you could do it without having to rent a car. Once you're at the hotel, there's a handful of restaurants around in addition to what Disney offers. Just so long, of course, you don't want to go anywhere else. It was a good time. We are already talking that we definitely want to go back.
  16. Bonus double-update to move time along... The kids loved the sleds: Except for Eeyore. Apparently he wants to make the girl beside me cry because he looks so sad. I didn't check to see if she really was. I'm pretty certain that this is the Snow Queen from the Narnia movies... or just a Christmas tree. I'm not sure which: Snow hotties: The most awesome ice queen and defrosted sister: Gingerbread cookbook: Mooby the Cow: WHO LET THE DOGS OUT? The evil step mother and step-sisters were very funny (as always). Their loud obnoxious ways remind me of my dear sister. (Who w
  17. We left bewildered and confused from Mr. Toad's ride and got onto the carousel. My daughter got to ride the special Mary Poppins horse. My wife explained it, I don't know. And then, I tried to see if I could look like a horse. I think I did.. I'm not sure if that's good. Leaving there, we checked out Pinnochio. And then Slow White: Leaving there, we got a return time for Peter Pan. Which meant, we had a 1/2 hour or so to meander. First, we passed a Dumbo tree: And then I was the family hero by buying a $3 pickle. Truth be told, I had to wait until my wife was in the rest r
  18. I'm not sure yet. With changing our residency to FL, she's excited about a discount from what we paid. But, I just don't know how many park days we will really have.
  19. Good stuff. People who buy homes near noisy things and then complain about noisy things are idiots. My hometown has an outdoor concert venue and neighbors complain. More times than not- the venue was there first. BUT, now, moving right along... I last left off with leaving the park on Thursday night. We had learned on Thursday that there was no chance of my camper being ready on Friday and having it movable would cause more delays. Since it's behind a gated fence with security dogs, we had to extend our hotel stay to Monday. BUT- it also meant that we were out of clean clothes, had no laundr
  20. I know my dumb-self gets hit with $8 ponchos each time it rains. You'd think I would learn by now, but oh no- I bought new ones in Disneyland!
  21. So sorry that you got that sick on EE. I'm usually good for one ride on that, but that's my limit (and I really don't have motion issues). My daughter can ride it over and over, though! Your trip from the Fort to MK sounds like my average thinking and luck. :)
  22. Yes, I saw the tractors tip- just like in the video bhall posted below. As I said, you got gypped. It's a funny scene. Thanks for posting that link. I am not a big fan of that site, but that article is excellent. I have heard bits and pieces of what it says, but I haven't read the whole story in one comprehensive article like this one. Those of us who waited until now to visit Disneyland and California Adventure were apparently spared the massive disappointment guests felt visiting the original version of California Adventure. It's hard for me to imagine what it would be like wi
