  1. Just got to LazyDays tonight and are setup on site # 269. If you stop by during the day, feel free to knock if after noon. Weekdays, I'm in the bedroom working and there aren't always signs of life from the outside. :) And fair warning to anyone coming to LazyDays- Feb. 11-14 is a Fulltime Families rally. 50 families who live in their campers and we're the oddity with "only" 2 kids. Lots of families are coming in ahead of time and there are already - handful here. We spent the night sitting and playing dice outside this evening.
  2. I'm literally in Lake City RV Resort right now. Decent place right off of I-10. Most all of the sites are pull-thrus and are decently level. Friendly folks, but not pool or playground. It does have the nicest pool table I've ever seen in a public place.
  3. Ha! It's pretty exciting that everything has lined up. We are blessed/lucky/you name it to be able to do it. Ha! My saving grace is that I will only be visiting the state from time to time. Thanks! Ha! So, secretly, we have known for a while. Before we fully decided, I accidentally booked us for the Alberquerque Balloon Festival (like totally forgot we were supposed to be off the road by then). But, we have been talking seriously about staying fulltime since late October. We just didn't want to announce it or even really 1000% admit it to ourselves until now. It's still hugely anx

  5. If it wasn't for a rally, I wouldn't have known either. :) Though, I've since heard good things about the LazyDays park in Tucson.
  6. So, maybe it's time to change the thread title as we aren't stopping after a year. We found what we expected (and were warned about by veteran fulltimers)- the weekly move schedule was too exhausting but more importantly, we were missing too many awesome sites. We decided and are finally making it official that the road life is for us. We are filing the papers to become Florida residents and fulltimers for realz.
  7. The pictures on the site of the crowds of people is too much. I'm glad we're missing it!
  8. The kids wanted to- so we did. Nah, I'm lying- I wanted to, also! My wife takes motion sickness pills for rides and still wouldn't get on it. Glad you rode it and liked it enough to want to ride again! I literally thought of you often while we were on the Death Wheel. I kept thinking, "Man, I don't know what his big deal was." And then my wife clued me in... The Alladin show was a lot of fun. I can't imagine Frozen having that kind of staying power. Olaf is fun, but he's no Genie. If it's heights, yeah- this isn't the ride for you. Here are 2 m
  9. I love reading your trip reports. You guys have so much fun and the pictures are always amazing.
  10. I get to LazyDays on Sunday and will be there for 2+ weeks. I'll report back. :)
  11. Apparently I lied about picking up on Wednesday. Wednesday has 0 pictures which tells me that it was a "regular life" kind of day. Thursday, December 10 The morning started with riding the shuttle in. Heading in at 11am means an empty bus. This morning the bag-check line was greeted by a police dog. I'm a little surprised about the lack of pictures, but we headed into California Adventure and made our way to the Boardwalk/Pier area. My daughter wanted to ride the rollercoaster there but my son was too little. We did the rider switch and my daughter and I went fi
  12. Blame it on a long conference call, but I'm crushing out some blog posts. Just did Pahrump, NV where we explored Death Valley NP. So beautiful and wish we had more time there! http://nowornever.learntorv.com/2016/01/exploring-death-valley-from-pahrump-nv.html
  13. It's nice over there. We lived in a neighborhood behind of it when we first moved to Columbia. But more recently lived across town (near the mall + hospital). Nice place - I don't think we ever bowled there before. It's funny you say that. I like the house, but really don't miss the size or it-specifically. There's a few things that I won't miss when we leave the camper... like, the constant HVAC noise (be it raging loud air conditioners or the blowing noise of the furnace/space heaters). But, we recently visited a buddy in Houston. His house was HUGE- like get lost in their walk-in cl
  14. Catching up. We were in Las Vegas from October 13-27, 2015. We had a good time, but were just talking tonight that we have no interest in returning to the city or strip itself. Though, there are more things in the surrounding areas that I wish we had gotten to (specifically, Valley of Fire State Park). Vegas recap Following Vegas, we went back to our hometowns in Maryland and Pennsylvania to visit with family and friends. It was a great visit, but at the end of the day- it was good to go home to our camper. 2 Weeks in PA/MD
  15. The top picture is my old house that I'm renting out. The bottom picture is my new "house" that I'm living in. I've never been happier for a blizzard- so long as nothing bad happens to the top house. :)
  16. I can vouch for Cheddar's. It was pretty good stuff- we went to one in Pennsylvania. Thanks for the kind words. And it was pretty decent- I'd stay there again. Heh, I have those kind of stories with my sister and her son. Heck, I'm probably not far away from having those with my boy....
  17. Hmm- we think we are leaving Florida near the beginning of April and headed to MD/PA. Don't make plans around me, but we might be able to tag along.
  18. Ok, looks like I left off and we were about to head back into the Haunted Mansion. I don't know if I mentioned, but it started to rain. A CM helpfully moved our stroller from where it was nicely covered to out in the open all by its lonesome self. I guess there's a reason... but the stroller was out of the way. Anyway, Haunted Mansion. I can't say how much I love the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. Love, love, love, LOVE it. Jack greets you in the stretching room: Being in the handicap line and not wanting to walk any more than she needed to, we had to wait for a couple of special hand
  19. That's not accurate. Goodyear Marathons and Maxxis m8008 tires can be taken up to 75moh based on air pressure increases and if your mm have additional weight carrying capacity. I believe that there are other ST tires that are rated at 75mph but the brands are eluding me right now.
  20. I actually enjoyed the show and we watched it on each visit. I'm a little sad that it's going. But, like the rest of you have said- I really wish they'd change things up a bit all across the board. Even MK and the classics - no sense in not updating them. (Especially after seeing the stark differences in some of the Disneyland stuff. In a lot of ways, there is a lot of room for improvement.)
  21. I'd first try to find someone to talk to. Make sure they're not just parking there out of convenience. Then, if they ARE saving the site. I'd call the front desk from the site and ask for assistance. If I can be moved to an equal or better site, I'd just as well move. If the other site options aren't as desireable- sorry squatters, move your crap and I'm moving in. If they have an issue, talk to Disney. Depending on the cast of characters and their attitudes (ie, if I get an ugly vibe from them), I may take cell pictures of my setup + their license plates.
  22. Yep. For my 16" rims, the G-614 was just about the only tire that would have suited my needs. The only thing I wasn't sure was the sizing. The tires I had were 235/80R16; the G-614s were 235/85R16. I wasn't sure if that 80 vs. 85 mattered in the grand scheme of things. Not knowing enough about the details made me wary.
