  1. You can always bring a digital converter from home and not have to mess with borrowing one from Fort.
  2. We have been here for a week and, relatively speaking, the parks don't seem *that* crowded. It's been more crowded when we've been here in November. Not saying it's not crowded, but doesn't seem as crowded as we have experienced in the past.
  3. Welll pffft. Was hoping to be able to get coffee there in the morning but I can't wait until 11:00 AM for that!
  4. We toured the Camping World campground the last time through for future reference, and it's quite nice. Couldn't be easier to access, and if you are a Good Sam member it's $25 bucks. If we need a spot right around the state line, we would certainly stay there.
  5. Depends on your threshold for the amount of driving in a given day. As for time from Nashville to the Fort - it's certainly not 20 hours. We live in Nashville, and make it to the Fort in 14, and that's with two dogs, multiple stops along the way, etc. New we don't always (in fact rarely) drive it in one shot, but as for drive time, it can be done in 12, 14 if you lollygag. Our timing is dictated on when we want to drive through Atlanta (10pm - 2am). That means I run out of steam shortly south of Atlanta, then drive either all the way to the Fort, or close by the following day.
  6. Livin' Lite was created and founded by my high school classmate Scott Tuttle. They make a solid product and there is a culture of quality at the manufacturing level. Recently acquired by Thor (not necessarily a plus IMO) they now have deeper pockets for marketing and product development. Many units to strike me as a bit bland, but they are certainly well built.
  7. Huh. It ain't Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, butt he last 2 times we visited the Tiki room it was full, including mid November when the part wasn't otherwise very extremely busy. Just saying.
  8. Love the Tiki Room! Love the Country Bear Jamboree. Classic. Awesome. Some of my best memories as a kid. -M
  9. 8" ears look too big on a 12" globe to me. I always use 12" globe and 6" ears. Of course, t's a matter of personal preference. I've used this basic approach for several lamps with good luck: http://tagrel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31497 I make the post in two pieces so I can disassemble for storage / travel. -Mike
  10. Mo, as of this afternoon your fave spot (or at least one of them) was open in 300. I put a post-it note in the drive as "reserved".
  11. I saw venison on my plate at Epcot Sunday.
  12. Our inflatables ate keeping everything dry on 700.
  13. I don't remember that, but even so, you're paying for the food you consume. Not the same as sneaking in a kid. JMO.
  14. Since Tennessee folks generally leave Christmas (and every other season) decorations up all year, they don't quality as "seasonal", so I think we'll be good! And just for Lou, I'll leave our beautiful inflatable inflated and lighted all night long.
  15. OK, NO idea how this post just appeared 4X. Sorry. I'll return to my cave.
  16. Getting a Fort-approved fire pit is on our wish list. Nearly bought one of those cool propane pseudo campfires that Camping World sells, but had the good sense to check if they were approved for the Fort, and they are not. Amazingly, a propane fueled fake fire is apparently more dangerous than a real fire with a solid top. Whewee, that's a head scratcher.

  19. Getting a "Fort approved" fire pit is on our wish list. We nearly bought one of those cool gas pseudo-campfires that Camping World sells but then I had the good sense to check and see if they are on the approved list and discovered they are not. (!). Somehow apparently a propane fire burning no real wood is more dangerous than a real fire with a solid top on it. Whewee, there's a head scratcher.
  20. Some good friends of ours own and operate the University Station RV park about 3 miles from the stadium at Auburn. Great place to tailgate before/after games.
  21. Ah. Where is that located on the site? I was looking for an area about the history of FF, but maybe I overlooked it.
