  1. It's probably too late since your planning is done, but I love the site Roadside America for a list of weird and wacky things to see. I used it for my recent trip to Philadelphia with great success.
  2. I think it's just the angle and the position of the salt shaker. We were sitting pretty far off to the right side (as you face the stage). Although it was kind of annoying at the time to see that scene three times, it's pretty funny in retrospect and makes for a great story. You could tell the poor CM was getting pretty frustrated as she explained YET AGAIN over the PA to remain seated at all times and not exit the theatre.
  3. It's been gone since at least March of this year. I took this photo on March 20th because my Mom and I got to see this scene THREE TIMES IN A ROW when people kept leaving the theatre.
  4. This image does a pretty good job of showing you how the Magic Band ships (on the left) and how you can remove the black part (it separates with a bit of pull) and leaves a smaller band behind for those with thinner wrists like kids. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hBr7dZCY_Yg/UxuBbLMZ66I/AAAAAAAAAao/-3MxlOW19fg/s1600/download3.jpg
  5. We've made our plans for another home game version of the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. It's our third year in a row and this time we're doing it on June 7. Anybody else done this or planning to?
  6. Sorry to correct your typo, but the site is Imgur - http://imgur.com/ It's what I use too. :)
  7. Thought this crowd would enjoy this lengthy behind-the-scenes look at how MyMagic+ all came to be... It's a long read (I'm not even half way through it yet). http://www.fastcompany.com/3044283/the-messy-business-of-reinventing-happiness
  8. Everything I know I learned from this - http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Bean_Bunny
  9. I guess Bean didn't make the cut either.
  10. My Mom wanted to go on this when we were there last week so I went for the first time in years. I'm glad you said it was missing. I noticed it wasn't there but thought I must have fallen asleep and just didn't see it.
  11. I was tempted by the margherita flabread, but since the Fantasmic package is a fixed price and you can order any appetizer and main, it seemed silly to get a $13 flatbread instead of a $24 pork tenderloin. If I find myself there again under similar circumstances, I'll gladly try the steak. Neglected to mention that the kids meal was supposed to include a kiddie appetizer (soup or salad), which both kids ordered and yet never arrived. When I asked our server about it he brought a cup of apple slices with the bill for them to take to go. :-\
  12. I'm sorry that I missed you by that much. We hit the road to head home on Sat March 21. Glad you enjoyed it and that it lived up to my hype.
  13. Really? I thought the Lunching Pad didn't open until 11 am. Can you get them somewhere else at the MK?
  14. My sister and her husband took the kids back for a swim and nap one afternoon, which left me and Mom alone to do as we pleased. As much as I like the chicken nuggets at Cosmic Ray's, I was pretty sure we could do better so we left Mom's scooter in stroller parking on Main Street and caught a boat over to Wilderness Lodge and hit up the Territory Lounge again. (Can you tell I'm a creature of habit?) Mom had a mojito and I ordered a Blue Moon, then regretted not noticing earlier that they have a Hefeweizen by Widmer Brothers that I should have ordered instead. Note to self for next time!
  15. Having seen pictures of them in WBI's recent trip report, I knew I had to go to Casey's Corner to try the Corn Dog Nuggets. They were pretty good. The best part was this mutant one (NSFW?).
  16. Managed to hit this place 2 rides after rope drop and I was the only person in line. How often do you see that? My nephews had never had one before, so being the good Auntie I had to remedy that deplorable situation.
  17. Jiko is probably my favourite restaurant on property. When my sister announced that they were going to the Earl of Sandwich for dinner, it didn't take much to convince my Mom to go to Jiko with me instead. (I hear good things about Earl, but I'm not really a sandwich person.) We arrived at about 6:00 without a reservation so the only place they could seat us was at the Cooking Place, which was just fine by us. There are 6 tall chairs along a counter where the cooks prepare the appetizers. The cooks were friendly and chatty and we really enjoyed the experience. Mom and I each had a sunriser
  18. On our Hollywood Studios day, Mom had a craving for a Coke float. A quick Google search revealed that these could be procured at the Oasis Canteen. They'll also do a root beer float if that floats your boat better.
  19. I think this is the first Disney-made carrot cake cookie I've had since I started making them at home. The main difference seems to be in the icing - theirs is more icing sugar-y than mine. I suspect it's because I'm not draining the crushed pineapple well enough. This gives me a goal to work towards... Mom and I couldn't finish this, so I saved the rest in a ziploc bag and ate it for breakfast the next day. It's got carrots in it, so it must be healthy, right? Right?
  20. The croissant donut is more than a little bit of all right. I had my first one at Food & Wine last year and knew I'd be back again. I had to share it with my nephews, but since they're going to be picking out my nursing home I figured it was a small price to pay.
  21. I might have had two of these over the course of last week. TCD - did you ever try one?
  22. Impostor cinnamon buns. One of them had way more icing than the other. You can guess which one I took...
  23. I ordered the lighthouse sandwich again... Has it changed recently? It was much more garlic-y and a lot less hummus-y than I remember.
  24. Finally my first trip to Be Our Guest. This was a dinner visit. I couldn't go to the only place in MK that serves alcohol and NOT have a drink. So here's my Kronenbourg Blanc. We were hungry so started off with the charcuterie. It was a big hit. I ordered the lamb. Delish! I picked up the bones and gnawed on them. I have no shame. My Mom's seafood something. I had the lemon meringue cupcake thing. I thought the desserts were a little lacking considering the caliber of the restaurant. I hear the chocolate one was better, and the kids both liked their Grey Stuff.
  25. We also went here as part of the Fantasmic package. This was my first time at Mama Melrose's. For my starter I had the mozzarella with tomato and balsamic. It was just OK. I think my sister won with the seared tuna that was posted earlier in this thread. For my main I had the saltimbocca. It didn't knock my socks off either, but the portions were big. I couldn't finish it. I thought dessert as part of the package was rather strange. The kids each got the spaghetti and meatball cupcake - they were BIG! And presumably tasty since they finished them and I didn't get a single bite. My
