I thought I could add at least a hatch on the passenger side, but I would have to mess around with the Alde hoses, so I passed on that idea.

All the modern conveniences sure eat up a lot of the storage spaces.

Yes they do 🙂 That's one of the reasons I'm saving up to spend a fortune at the factory to have mine refurbed from the frame up and new floor. I like the heavier frame, and front platform and bins, but don't want an Alde, Bath, cassette toilet or the new Air8 air conditioner.

    We don't have those hatches.

My power and hose go in a metal bin on the tongue that's just behind the jack and in front of the plastic tub.  I have the T@B power cord and a 50 foot extension in there along with other assorted items.

I added those hatches. I don't have a furnace so have the under bench space. I also don't have the front bin or plastic tub. The frame on mine doesn't have room for a front tub.

I’ll be arriving at the fort next Monday October 12 for one night.   I reserved a tent/pop up site for the night.  I’ll be arriving on DME by myself with just a tent and sleeping bag.  As soon as I check in I’ll be setting up my tent and heading to Epcot and then dinner at DS. Early check out on the 13th and moving to beach club for a few nights with my family.
    so my questions are

    1.  Which loop and site would recommend for easy access to the buses, and comfort station.

    2.  Easy and quickest way to Epcot. I’m not familiar with the internal buses.

    3.  Does the fort offer luggage transfer like other resorts?

thanks in advance for the info.

P.S.  And if anyone’s needs a tent or pop-up site for the night they are welcome to set up next to me.

1500 Loop is small, has a comfort station close, and a bus stop right there. To get to Epcot from 1500, take the Yellow Outpost bus to the front parking lot, then the Epcot bus.

To return to your campsite, take the Yellow Settlement from the front parking lot.

If you get Loop 2000, then you'll take the Orange/Purple bus from your loop.. Outpost to get to the bus stop/settlement to get back to your campsite.

The fort will take you and your stuff to your site in a Van.

The luggage service on Magical Express is no longer in service.

I haven't used the luggage transfer to another resort in a long time, don't know if that service is still available, but if it is, the Fort does participate.

We are skipping this year because in August, if all goes as planned, we have a wedding to go to in Virginia.

But it was fun last year, wish we could go.

We pulled the trigger and Disney wins again.
because of their goofy, and IMHO unfair 3 park reservation limit for AP holders, we went ahead and booked beach club villas for 3 nights and 3 nights at bonnet creek. Now we can book a park reservation for our length of stay.
As some of you know I hate planning dining reservations and FPs. And now I’m forced to plan even more of our vacation...

    Park Reservations!!!

What is making it so hard is the fact we can’t park hop.   We are not big park hoppers but during food & wine festival we normally go to a park in the morning and then hop over to Epcot for afternoon/evening entertainment and food.

so help me out. Give me some suggestions on how to best use our time this trip.

I’m thinking walk into epcot the afternoon we arrive, 13th

    13th-epcot
    14th-HS-Star wars!
    15th-epcot
16th-AK, it closes the earliest, and we could store our luggage with guest services and then uber to bonnet creek.
17th-MK-no fireworks so early start and finish.
    18th-either Epcot again or HS
    19th fly home.

Not being able to park hop is the worst thing they took away.  I don’t understand why you couldn’t park hop to another park as long as it was under their new capacity limits.

    Thanks in advance

Looks like a good plan. I agree, especially during Food and Wine, parking hopping is essential.

Except for Star Wars, folks are saying Studios can be accomplished if you arrive around 3pm. BUT in order to get that elusive Rise of Resistance boarding group, you have to try at 10 and then again at 2pm.

I've long said that Stitch is possibly the worst attraction at WDW ever and IMO should have gone years ago.  Actually it was supposed to and then they started randomly opening it when it was busy.

Supposedly there's been a replacement in the works for Rivers of Light for a while - or at least it's been rumored for a while.  Not too surprising given all the technical difficulties and tweaks they've had to do pretty much since it opened.

Primeval Whirl is kind of a surprise in that I haven't heard of anything to replace it.  But it's also had quite a few issues with maintenance over the years. Maybe it was finally time to cut their losses on that one.  I won't be sad to see it go.

Stitch was awful, I rode Primeval Whirl exactly once, and only because I found a FP for it on the ground. Waaaay to spinny for my taste. Rivers of Light was just eh, and a huge time drain, and crowd nightmare (especially with 2 shows).

Yeah... I remember the first several years we stayed in Preferred being under $70 a night.  We wanted to do Christmas next year (our anniversary is Christmas Eve and it'll be our 25th) but just looking at this year's rates I couldn't justify it.

My first trip to the Fort in 2001 was $20 a night for a partial.

Up until about 2010, we could get the Fort for under $50 a night except for very high Holiday season. It all started falling apart and getting stupid expensive when they put in the Premium sites.

  8. I totally/completely have no desire to return at this point. I do have a hotel reservation booked for Oct, but if our kids can't join us, (because they had not booked yet, and may not be able to book) AND they are in a state with a 2-week quarantine when entering FL. Also, we can't buy tickets at this time, so most likely will cancel. The no park hopping and reservation system really stinks. My plan was to go early in the morning and hit the attractions I wanted to see at rope drop (at Studios, AK, and MK), then late afternoon, troll food booths at Epcot. We are purely, hunt and peck type travelers, and casual do what we feel like type travelers, I did like FastPass + because I could book a couple things in the later afternoon and we would be guaranteed to ride a few things without long waits, but this book your park months in advance not knowing if we'll feel like actually going to that park that day, or if the weather cooperates just won't work for us anymore.

Also, I've finally convinced hubby to go cross-country with me in the T@B. I have three weeks planned next march for less than even a week at Disney.
