As someone who is a professional search engine marketer, I'd say what they are mainly trying to do is eliminate competition both for paid and organic search, but mainly for paid search.

See, there is very little chance that any agency, no matter how large, will ever outrank the main Disney website if someone is searching for "Disney vacation" or any variation.

However, an agency could, if they have deep enough pockets and a cunning search engine marketer (not unlike myself ), outbid them on Disney related keywords and artificially rank ahead of them in search engine results.

Disney would then need to pay more for the same keyword than they would if they had no competition. So they are eliminating the competition entirely. Pretty sneaky, but not surprising.

Reading through this, there doesn't seem to be much for anyone to worry about unless they participate in pay per click advertising or have a Disney trademarked word in their URL.

Is this Florida-specific?  Because my favorite beach campground is in mid-coast Maine. :)

Searsport Shores in Searsport (Not too far from Mt. Desert Island)  http://www.campocean.com/

The campground is clean, quiet, well organized, and gives off the general aura of what the Maine coast should/used to be. Really fantastic lobster bake on Saturdays, wide and secluded beach for exploring, and the owners genuinely care if you are having a good time, but don't trouble you about it.

It's not a party spot for anyone....it's a quiet and peaceful spot for families. Feels very reverent of nature.

My favorite campground after the Fort, for sure.

Another great beach campground (this one on the west coast) is Crystal Cove in Tofino, British Columbia. It's on the far west side of Vancouver Island and the scenery just doesn't get much prettier (unless maybe you've been to New Zealand? I'm guessing that might beat it).

The campground itself is nice with beautiful landscaping and very clean facilities, but the best part is the private beach where your dog is welcome. That doesn't seem to be as common these days.

And you can surf here, if that's your thing.

CitaPita...Carmen got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Polly Luna wakes up! A classic RV build story
We are officially back inside Polly Luna.

As you can see by my ticker, we are fast approaching the point at which all work will have to stop for the year. There are several things hanging out on our "must do/must finish" list so this weekend we thought we'd get some of those out of the way.

First up was to add the aluminum trim to the corners and hide the seams in the wall panels with strips of wood. This was an uneventful endeavor. Next we set to work trimming out baseboard. For this we went with just a basic shoe molding.

At least we thought it was basic.

You see, we bought the trim way back in June and stored it away while we worked on Polly's exterior. But when Josh went to install it Saturday, we realized that we didn't have enough and would need to pick up at least two more sticks.

The problem? Apparently, the shoe molding we had purchased had been cut incorrectly. There was not a piece of trim at two hardware stores that matched it.

So, we did what any conscientious DIYer would do. We bought the closest possible match and decided we'd just hide that piece behind the couch so no one would notice.

    Done.

Next up on the agenda was a new backsplash. I don't have any before pictures of it, but the backer board that had been serving as a backsplash had a large ugly tear in the veneer. We decided to cover over it with one of those lightweight peel and stick tile mosaics that are practically made just for RVs.

I really, really wanted this brushed honeycomb aluminum style.

Unfortunately, those tiles are $20 a square foot. I would need eight square feet. Let's do the math:

8 x $20 = Enough money for me to have a Pandora bracelet.

So, back to the drawing board.

I found some sheets of faux-aluminum subway tile at a different hardware store and snapped them up as a good enough option. They were only $5 a square foot. Much better in price, even if it wasn't exactly what I wanted.

To anyone that is thinking of using these faux-tiles in their RV, here are some pros and cons.

    Pros:
Super lightweight Won't break like real tile Looks decent Cons:
Much more difficult to install than you would think You will have air bubbles and they will not come out no matter what you do, not even yelling at them helps, believe it or not Jury is still out about durability in the elements I spent hours putting in that back splash and I have to say that I don't really like the result. At some point I'll probably tear it out and put something else there. It looks better than it did, though, which is becoming my new benchmark for success on Polly.

And now that you've read my ramblings, here is what it looked like last night before we left.

Today we took Polly Luna out to the tire shop where she got some very badly needed new tires. First new shoes she's had in nearly two decades.

We're shifting back to inside work tomorrow. I am so glad about that, I'm anxious to finish what we started in there!

For now, here are some glamour shots we took of Polly on the drive home from the tire shop. You can really see how the paint color is affected by light. When it's shady, the paint is a dark teal, when it's bright out it's a true aqua.

Hold on, is Carmen saying that Disney doesn't enforce it's own rules? That never happens.
Even on the page for pony rides on the WDW website, the little girl shown on the pony is not wearing a helmet.

Below is from the internal website, "The HUB".

DH and I went to WDW together for the first time in 2000.  We did a 7 day land/sea package and stayed at the Beach Club.  A great trip, but we figured we were "Disney-ed out" for a while.

In 2002 we stayed off-site near DTD for a week.  Another good trip but again... we were good with the whole Disney thing for a while.

2004 we found ourselves with a camper that we didn't need (long story) and decided that before we sell it in the spring, hey why not take it to WDW for a couple of weeks with the dogs?

    Well that was fun!

That actually hooked us on camping and started us on the road to a camper van, and eventually 2 years later, a hybrid that we owned for 5 years before our current TT.

2006 we stayed 2 weeks in the 500 loop on a very last minute trip.

2007 we stayed in 300 for 2 weeks, and before the end of our first week we were plotting how to make it 3 weeks the following year.

And so it's been every year since.

The Fort will get ya' that way.

Carmen, all of these pictures are awesome.  You guys deserve a big pat on the back for getting 'er done!  However, I do need to say that this is the best pictures so far... This would look good framed and hanging somewhere inside the old girl...
