  1. DHS, like all of the Parks, has its own allure. Sure, there are somethings we like and some we don't like as much. Depending on crowds and operating hours, at line drop we grab FP for TSM (& maybe ride it also), then TOT, RRC, GMR, Muppets, Star Tours, break for lunch, then work in some more. Go back for a rest at the campground, return in the evening, ride & do some more shows, then catch Fantasmic (if it is going). We have not returned to the Lights, Motors, Action lately, I was not real impressed with it. I did really enjoy the original back lot tour, I thought it was more interest
  2. My wife does not like Tiki Birds and my oldest hates Country Bears. So they torture each other by making the other go with them to these shows.
  3. Bonuses, bonuses ! We don't need no stinkin' bonuses !! OOOPs, I meant badges. It's a good thing you didn't pre-order that pool Clark.
  4. It seems that not long after the first part of the year, Disney goes from Peak Season to Regular Season and completely skips the Value Season that used to exist from after Easter to about the 2nd week of June. As much as I like going late May, I will probably need to curb my appetite for it & start sticking to the Fall vacations.
  5. The only time we roll our awning in and out is if we are next to the ocean. Otherwise, I always tie mine down and keep it at a lower angle than most people do. The only awning I have lost over the past 30 years was when the wind pushed down on the awning & broke the awning tube.
  6. I'd be happy if their current on line reservation system worked for what they do now. Ride & show times are a little much. They need to stick to the fast pass system. Next thing you know you will have to reserve bathroom breaks.
  7. The standing water in some of the loops has been there for quite a while, it mostly was unseen due to all the brush that has now been cut back. I have noticed that they are filling those areas with sand a little at a time. If you look in most of those low areas, you will see the cypress knees sticking up fairly high.
  8. Has anyone had problems with the 3 in one sheets kid of falling apart and getting fuzzies on the clothes in the dryer?
  9. Horror story number 2 - I was in my favorite site 116. I have had problems with people parking in my site, when my truck was gone, to go to the store, TE, etc.. One time I had a Fort cabin guest, who parked his car in my drive & went to MK for the day (later found out). I put my vehicle in the overflow lot, hoping he would return soon. When we came back for our after lunch break, the car was still there. I called the front desk, the Disney PoPo came out, I advised them the car had been there since 7:30 that morning. They attempted to track down the owner with the FW dashboard card, but no
  10. Two horror stories come to mind that I had at the Fort. Both were some years back. 1) I normally stay in the 100 loop. A group came in & set up 4 large tents, adults & children on one campsite. I counted 18 people in all. First, they all were trying to plug into the 2 110 VAC outlets to run multiple lights, electric skillets, microwaves, hair dryers etc.. Needless to say they kept blowing their breakers and started complaining to the front desk about the electrical problems. The front desk sent out maintenance who tried to explain they could not run all the stuff they had (these people
  11. I just called and they have finally posted an AP discounted rate for our upcoming May trip on a Preferred Campsite. It looks to be about 10% between the original & new rate. I don't know if they have posted any for Premium or other type sites.
  12. It never ceases to amaze me that they charge you to move money from one pocket to another. I can understand if you go completely into another company's timeshare, but, come on, at Disney, it is still going into the same bag.
  13. I like to sit inside by the indoor waterfall. I may accidentally fall asleep.
  14. I liked Bomas, but my wife was not too thrilled with it. I was suprised she didn't like the carrot ginger soup, since she like carrots, but I liked it & I am not a big carrot fan.
  15. The man has a good memory. Even though we only eat there a few times a year he will look at us and say something like "if I remember, you both want unsweet tea" and if our two DD's are along, he knows they want sweet tea. I have seen very few waiters like him anywhere. Of course I always tip him very well, which probably helps his memory.
  16. Main street bakery has the pastries all day (cinnamon rolls, turnovers, etc), but the only have the egg type sanwiches in the morning. Since you like buffet type meals (as we do), I would recommend the Crystal Palace at the MK (lunch or supper), as well as the Liberty Tree Tavern (supper only). The LTT serves the meal, family style at supper as an all you can eat. Roast turkey, carved roast beef, & either pork loin or honey glazed ham, along with mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, mac n'cheese, veggies, etc. with apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for desert. Ohana's at the Polynesian for s
  17. $51.00 for adults (10 & up) $21.00 for kids (3-9) Thursdays & Saturdays - Seasonal
  18. It would be nice if they would bring back the petting zoo. We always enjoyed it.
  19. OK, I am definately a pack rat & take way too much. Having said that, we did ditch the washable plates & we kept a few coffee mugs. We don't like wasting time washing dishes if we don't have to.
  20. OK, I have to ask. Why can't you take anything inside?
  21. About how time (days) should I allow for it.
