  1. We have one of these as well and absolutely love it. It is a little bit of a PITA to clean, but worth every penny. I get to where I line the bottom with heavy aluminum foil & "cut out" around the burners.
  2. Ditto for us, plus crock pot, large electric skillet, hand mixer, & toaster. For longer stays I also pack one of those convertable grill/griddle and a Ninja blender.
  3. I carry the Coleman Roadtrip with us & have the optional griddle & stove top with it. I also usually keep a couple of small bags of one time use charcoal and and one of those grill tops that are made for fish, veggies, etc. to place over the grill at the campsite.
  4. I double everything. Extra 50 or 30amp cord, extra sewer hose, extra water hose, extra everything. I have a lot of storage space and I use it. Even fully loaded I am still within my gross vehicle weight. I carry way too much stuff, but it is there if I need it. The only things I don't carry, unless I need them is my 10X20 pop up canopy, the a/c for the tent I carry, and my large radiant heaters. Also, my outdoor theater & sound system and decorations as needed.
  5. Made a big batch of BBQ beef for Sunday. Cut up some smoked brisket I had put back in the freezer, added a big package of beef tips, added water, salt & pepper, then let cook for 12 hours until it would fall apart. Removed as much of the broth as possible, added BBQ sauce & a little Worchester sauce, then stirred with a big spoon. The meat fell apart as it was stirred & then it is ready to serve.
  6. Children - no matter what age - always costs me money, which adds more gray hair :rofl2:
  7. I think 601 to 615 are the newer sites & 616 to 637 are in the more shaded area. I also have noticed that some of the newer sites that back up to the water have a pretty good drop off on the sides once you are off the pad site. On the average, the most shaded sites are on the old part that backs up to the road, at least from the afternoon sun.
  8. I miss the cart path from 1400 to Meadows, but I understand why they did it. It would be nice if they made a cart path 'bypass' that goes behind the campfire/movie area & comes out by the cart parking.
  9. 919 & 921 are on either side of the path. 920 is across from it.
  10. Overall, my favorite is the 100 loop. I like being able to get up in the morning and walk down to FW landing, sit in a chair & look out over the water. The drawback is they sometimes try to squeeze me into too short of a site. For a premium, I like the 900 or 1000, so I can just walk over to the pool.
  11. It does kind of nip those weekend trips, that are 150 - 200 miles away.
  12. If it was originally built in 1956 for Disneyland, I could possibly see the $400,000 price tag, but not just as an Epcot bygone item.
  13. And what do we call people who get into bed with others for money? It sometimes seems that Disney is getting further & further out there. They need to change Walt's quote from "It all began with a mouse" to "It all began with a dollar"
  14. It will be interesting to see the Chinese making even cheaper crap than what Disney already gets from them.
  15. Have you ever noticed how the very end of the dock of FW Landing is built, even though it has been redone since they used to do this. Years ago, when only the MK & then Epcot was built, there were only 2 boats for transportation to MK. On the busiest days they would bring one of the large boats that normally ran from the parking lot to MK over to FW Landing an hour before opening and dock it sideways there and loaded it from the side entrance. Then they would pull out about 25 minutes after & head to the MK. This kept the wait lines down on FW Landing for people trying to get to MK in
  16. The boundries of my site is usually defined by the 'stuff' I put up, which hinges on how long I am going to be there and how many people are in my group. I usually always stay within my developed campsite area, with the exception of decorations, which may protrude into the common area. If I am unfortunate enough to get one of those campsites that people use as a cut through, then I will intentionally put my stuff up as to block the cut through using picnic tables, canopies, clothes lines, decorations, etc.
  17. Actually, my wife & I have done it a couple of times & enjoyed it. We left the kids out (even though they are in their 20's) and did it as mom & dad thing. Fortunately, we were always on the front row. My only gripe was one time they did not put enough stuff out, we got a couple of things, then went back & they were almost out. It was just kind of nice to sit back, snack, & enjoy the fireworks without all the crowds.
  18. I used to like the Polynesian Luau best, but sometime when they changed it to the Spirit of Aloha, they ditched the free all you could stand, frozen drinks. So now the HDDR & Aloha are about equal to me.
  19. Agreed! I was actually surprised at how good it was - even the green beans! My daughter's favorite CS for the chicken. Burgers with the topping bar is great, especially the hot cheese sauce for your fries.
  20. I have a satelite now, but before, it was definately a deciding factor, especially if I was not close to a larger city with good over the air stations. I don't necessarily watch much TV while on vacation, but I do watch at night before bed & during bad weather.
  21. Sounds like you just off a Carnival cruise, or they serve the same drink on different cruise lines.
