  1. Since I don't think I can discuss this rationally at this time without offending someone, I'd just like to thank all of those who are serving or who have served on this board in our Nation's fighting forces, our LEO's, and our Firefighters/EMS folks. Thank you. Without the Sheepdogs, the flock is lost with the wolf at the door.
  2. I'd be interested to know what the diff gear is in a 550 - thinking it was a 4:30 which would be much worse than a 350 with a 3.73.
  3. Amen - Dually might have a bit less mpg due to extra weight, but SRW should be no different. Rule of thumb, always buy a bigger truck than you need to so you have "growing room" down the road....
  4. Who moves NORTH when retiring? Hate to see a service like this going away...Doug you need to do this!
  5. First of all, Welcome! Some of the larger boats are such that you sit INSIDE - not sure if that would make a difference, but the boats are definitely the fastest way to MK and not nearly as bumpy or smelly as the buses depending on how crowded they are. Hope you have a great time!!!!
  6. So if I sit in a wagon with a cooler of beer could that be an RV?
  7. No I live far away and I'm fat... Anyway, WELCOME !
  8. Got to meet these fine folks recently camping at Anchor Down! Makes these pics all that much better!!!
  9. I use the Smart Truck Route app- it's for truckers and shows all truck stops as well as scales etc. You can tell it how long you are to get more routes than just what the big rigs get
  10. Google "Death Wobble" on youtube. Watch it and then ask that question again. I had a 2007 that we loved, but got the Death Wobble about 100k miles and dropped $1500 into it to no avail - read where they updated the geometry of the new (2013 and up) Ram's and traded my 07 in for a 13. Absolutely loved the truck - got the first wobble at 21K miles. Had it lined up hoping it was just the caster - nope. Had to cancel a beach trip with our Camper and scramble last minute to find a beach house for a LOT more $$$ so the week not wasted. I am in the process of looking for another truck. I wil
  11. We liked the 500 when we were under 30 feet. Now not so sure since we are close to 40ft. It was a bit tight in spots before. We stayed in 525and 528
  12. TN22 and our gang recently stayed in Rodanthe on the OBX - definitely something to see at least once!
  13. I always used a WDH - I've seen some without, but can't imagine how it might wag as a big truck goes by. FWIW
  14. One thing to check on - what size is the fuel tank on the Ford? The Dodge is typically 32 gallon, but I have a friend who was not happy with this ford with a 25 or so gallon tank - it may not sound like much but even a 10 miles per gallon - that could mean the difference between stopping every hour and a half more often for fuel.
  15. When I hooked up my 10K lb toy hauler (old one) in a muddy field and never touched the accelerator - but slowly idled my way out of the field. That's Torque... Throwing mud 20 feet in the air and covering everything behind you and getting stuck in the process is horsepower...
  16. Look Dave, this is great and all, but now my wife is going to read this and since our NEXT anniversary is our 20th, it's going to be a bit hard to live up to this.... Seriously tho' - late and caught up. Looks like a great time was had by all. I guess this was a Queen Pett....er, Pampering Party?!! I do love beer..., and my wife....and beer...
