Scary Halloween Decorations?
Cortezcapt (Derek) replied to Megatron's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We say Mickey inflatables with santa hats at the Fort in May this year! So they were either really late or really early! Christmas in October you'll be fine! -
Did I miss something?

I'm hoping they get it fixed soon, we are hoping for a short trip in September and I love me some 900 loop. -
I cant really tell from the picture but is that the light that is always on back there or a new one?
-
And here all this time I thought they were one in the same! Is this the beginning of the 3000 loop?

If you do decide to hand out candy something I never thought about at home or actually till I joined FF is having an allergy friendly option. We had some throw beads left over from a parade we did so I took those as well as some candy that was gluten, nut, and milk free. Of course this is completely optional and like I said nothing I had thought about before joining here and finding out that there would be little Fiends with allergies trick or treating.

I most definitely will need to have that.

Have had something similar but was on a donut not a cinnamon roll, it was different that's all I can really say. Not sure I'd try it again.

We've only ever had beignets at POFQ, but eat at POR a lot. Never have had anything bad there and but really love the salads and can usually get 2 meals or 1 and a snack out of them. We swing in on our way back from a park and pick them up or get them and go watch Yehaa Bob. Will have to try POFQ next trip.

I'm in! Uhoh the truck and site 1333 don't sound like they are going to have a good outcome.

Did I miss something?

Wasn't the Fort or at least parts of it built before the MK and other resorts? I thought I remembered reading somewhere, maybe even here that some of the people working on the MK And resorts stayed at the Fort while they were building. -
Just want to introduce myself.
Cortezcapt (Derek) replied to momto4girlz's topic in Camping with DisAbilities
Just wanted to say WELCOME! Usually they keep the Fort sprayed for mosquitoes, we have only had a few times were it was bad at our site and that was after days of heavy rain and standing water. If you get off the beaten path or down by the beach sometimes they can get bad. We have a few of the Thermacell things and they seem to work great for us. I also put up a bug zapper most places we go, not sure how much it helps but if you have one at home and can bring it along. -
Premium Campsite Recommendation
Cortezcapt (Derek) replied to UFBrenda's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
900 is our preferred loop now. We have stayed in the site next to the walkway to the group camping area when there was a group there. During the day we could hear some noise from the group camping area but it was from the music or activities they had going and was quiet at night and in the evening and not loud just enough to know something was going on back there. As far as being to chilly for the BBQ, it's Florida you never can tell. We have gone up multiple years around that time and have had years were it's been cold, nice, or hot. Sometimes all 3 in the matter of a week! -
It seem anymore that it all comes down to luck with anything you buy, be it a refrigerator or RV. We bought a new "cheap" TT (18,000.00) our friends bought a 34,000.00 TT, they are the same size but different floor plans. We both have had some issues with them fixed under warranty. One ours was a major problem with the floor in the slide warping. But they have had more major issues with their more expensive, "better built" trailer that though covered under warranty have not been resolved. Comes down to luck of the draw.

If it was just Disney or another big land owner sueing I'd think they were trying to be greedy, but from the article it sounds like multiple big land owners in the area are all having the same problem. Or at least the big corporations that a racking in money. Seems fishy. I don't think they should get a tax break really but where would Orange county would have nothing if (in theory because it would never happen) they all closed up and left. If they keep raising taxes and the parks keep raising rates more people will start spending less in other parts of the county or coming at all which in tur
