  1. "Good thing we all have this Snarky clubhouse to hang out in. :)" Yes
  2. " I would discourage anyone from biking around WDW day or night." Can I ask why?
  3. Ok - so that's where/when we'll watch for you.
  4. Don't know if this helps but we've ridden our bikes to POR - mostly during the day time though - never tried it at night. Maybe that would be something to try this year when we're down. Would need to take our helmets though, which we don't usually try and make space for when we're just riding around the Fort/WL or over to POR for beignets. We've biked quite safely all the way to OKW and on to DT on occasion.
  5. Congratulations Lou - long before I actually joined this merry band I used to read all the postings and wondered if you were ever our bus driver. Now I'll watch and see if I can spot you taking people around. Would we ever get you when we do the backstage tours?
  6. And hubby and I spent the entire month of January at the Fort for LESS than that - in our favourite site I might add!!!
  7. Agree it's very cool - we've been and bought some neat stuff - maybe it will come back when all the construction is done.
  8. That's amazing - do you think we (campers) would get to use the pool and exercise room? Bet it would be gorgeous.
  9. Holy smoke - that's $800.00 for a couple - wow - much as I love the Food and Wine Festival, that would buy a LOT of FOOD AND WINE!!!!!!!!
  10. Having done more then our fair share of Wine and Food Festivals ( don't ask, it's been expensive) avoid Friday night and Saturday like the plague. Friday days, not bad but be out of there by about 6 PM. Sundays aren't bad, it gets steadily quieter after about 2-3 PM.
  11. We are a strange bunch aren't we! So happy being 'mouse crazy" and especially when we can spend our time at the "Fort" - don't think many people get that. Oh well, it's their loss.
  12. Thanks Aaron - I'm going to take that as good!! We'll be back in December again! Love Christmas at the Fort. :wave1: Beats freezing our buns off here.
  13. Not sure - - we've gone every year since 1998, have driven 33 hours non-stop from Winnipeg (that's in Canada) to get there - arrived anywhere from October to December - stayed anywhere from 1 to 4 months, some years with a trip to Disneyland thrown in - AP holders for 10 years, DVC (3 different purchases), - hubby even crazier (he's the one who decorates the bikes) - and our neighbours here at home think we're really strange because we have three "Mickey Head" lamps running up our driveway!!!! - so who does that make us?
  14. Brilliant - absolutely love them and how did you make them?
  15. I have to agree with the comment above regarding when does one guest's "magical experience" get compromised by another's. I don't think anyone, least of all Disney management has an answer. We've been here since the beginning of December in the 1500 loop. There truly hasn't been a day when someone hasn't come through with a dog/dogs for a walk. We've tried to politely point out to people this isn't a pet loop - that there are signs to say pets are not to come beyond certain points but no one seems to think this applies to their special pet. So we watch where we put our feet and try and m
  16. As someone said above - don't know what you all do for a living but you're right up there with Jack Ryan or James Bond in your investigative skills. Not to mention your computer competency at ferreting out all this. This could add immensely to the Fort but it will make some real changes here. There's no way that any ordinary folks have much influence on what Disney does. Hopefully we will still be able to find and enjoy all the things we love about the campground even with these changes. Given how fast they move on things we could well see this up and running by the 50th anniversary,
  17. We've been here since December 1st and aren't leaving - even with the rain!
  18. We took a ride tonight through most of the loops except the cabins and Spanish Moss and counted close to 100 empty sites. There were 11 empty in 300 alone. Don't know where all the people are but there sure weren't the decorations we normally would have seen 5 days before Christmas in the past.
  19. Ok everyone - here's the link to the video http://youtu.be/7iQk8PuFE90 - sorry it took so long, apparently uploading from the Fort takes a lot longer than expected. Like about 25 hours!!! Enjoy the show. Dave thank you for creating this. We think it's pretty awesome.
  20. Ok - so we've finally got through this process and have youtube -after several crashes and whatever we are currently uploading video and apparently it's going to take 712 more minutes - stay tuned - this is WAY more work than it should be - Will post the link etc when it's finally there - at this rate somewhere around midnight!
  21. Last night I got great pictures of The Castle Guy's display. Anybody got a quick and easy way to post this for everyone to see? Not the most technologically gifted so all advice welcome! Please!!
