mr.ken 0
The last few times we came I have seen one or there. We got in last night and within an hour we saw a Polaris ranger, a mule crew and another utv.. Are they not enforcing the rules????they clearly state no utility or atv. Just curious. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
The rules clearly state a lot of things. And none of those things are ever consistently enforced. Welcome to the Fort. It's a magical place that somehow thrives despite the idiots who manage it. TCD
mr.ken 0
Just a little frustrating. Makes me want to take out my not fort approved fire pit and start a fire tonight

Watch how fast an idiot ranger drives past the illegal utility carts, kids driving golf carts and riding skateboards, and sites with more than 10 guests to arrive at your site with a fire extinguisher in hand. Starbuc71 162
As Andrew states, this really gets me mad. I am a rule follower and of course the first time I would take a UTV to the fort I most likely would get told to park it. Is it that hard for the rangers or CM's to stop a UTV and say, "hey, that is not allowed. Please park the vehichle or put it back on your trailer" I know there is more involved due to unions and propbably certian CM guidlines but seriously give me a break. If people in the world these days would follow rules, make mortgage payments when they are due and just stop bucking the system, we would all be in a better place. UGHHH........ mr.ken 0
I am the same way. We are coming back in November and if I were to bring my ranger instead of my cart I would be the one to get stopped
Brent... Just Brent 83
For the record, I'm anti UTV at the Fort. They're usually loud and too fast. I approve of the rule that they aren't allowed. A little over a year ago I was tent camping alone in the 2000 loop. There were some kids on a Gator flying around the loop and slamming on brakes to make the tires squeal. I called the front desk, security, etc. No one even bothered showing up. Meanwhile, my car was a little off the pavement a few weeks ago and I got a note from a ranger. I'm not the one to usually throw the TCD "Idiot" phrase around, but in this case.... bord1niowa......Curt 79
I have noticed quite a few more UTVs lately. I thought it was weird. They are everywhere. I also saw 8 people on a 4 person cart today. Sitting all over each other. I was surprised it even moved.
Lou... 3,118
I'm not the one to usually throw the TCD "Idiot" While I whole heartily agree that sometimes, actually quite a few times, TCD is not the brightest bulb, I think you're being a little harsh on him. BouncingTiggers 98
It's ridiculous that they do not enforce the rules equally. The list of rules at the fort is fairly short after all.

boatms 2
I personally have never been to FW (arrive july 8th), but do not have a problem with UTV's. as long as the people driving them are acting civil. they sjould not be driven fast, say not over 15 mph. thats about the same speed as a stock golf cart. and kids should be supervised. if no adult is present, then the adult that witnesses the kids racing on a cart should stop them and take the keys and tell them to walk back and get your parents or guardian to come retrieve the cart. OR just bust that kids ass like they really need then escort them back to the parents and explain what happened! when I was growing up ANY adult in the neighborhood would correct all of the kids in the neighborhood, and then the parents would back that adult. all kids respected the adults in the neighborhoods, at least in their presence.I know some of you may not agree with my point of view, but thats ok. I just dont think we should punish everyone for the few that act out. on our local beaches here in southeast texas, UTVs are allowed along with golf carts, as long as you dont get stupid and start flying down the beach. TCDHe's right. So right. While my husband took the kids for a quick loop one night, I was left at the coach to tend to the fire. I went inside to get another glass of wine and use the restroom and before I had a chance to get back outside, a yellow coat was out there yelling. I opened the door and was rudely scolded about my "Fort approved", but unattended fire. He told me if he "caught me again", he'd put it out for me. And yet, kids were almost being hit 24/7 on their "Fort approved" electric scooters, but my kids have to leave their self-powered ripstiks at home. Love the Fort, but the people that run it are strange.

arthuruscg 34
As the popularity increases, price drops and importantly the weight does below golfcarts. UTVs will take over and golf carts will be viewed as your grandpas Buick/Oldsmobile. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

I believe it's only a matter of time until some young buck takes over management of the fort and puts 2 plus 2 together and sees all the increased revenue going out the window with private cart owners not paying the $65 plus a day for a rental. As stated in the past Disney is smart, no matter what changes they make weather it's good or bad if we don't pay it someone else always will
Retired & Tired (Judy) 90
Stopping persoal golf carts in the campground would mean Disney would have to buy hundreds more to have enough to rent. Remember you can't cure stupid.....and WDW does have a few of those we can't cure. :jumpforjoy

It goes along with everything else they do--just follow the money trail.
