Making my own WS passport and need help

Recommended Posts

I am making passports for my younger children for when we tour the WS.

Here is my preliminary efforts: http://memoirable.blogspot.com/2014/08/epcot-world-showcase-passport.html

Can anyone helpful fiend tell me if the area I left for the stamp is big enough?  (about 2" by 1.25")

Do you think I should print it on card stock or paper?  Either way, I was thinking of using something ivory or very light beige colored.

I'd do really heavy paper, not quite card stock.

I can't remember how big the stamps are.... it will still look cute if they hang over a bit though.

PS- I love that! So cute!

Thanks!

Marty, assuming you're using an inkjet printer, I'd get scrapbooking cardstock.  It's softer and more pliable than regular cardstock.  The ink absorbs better b/c it doesn't have the shiny finish.

Where would I get that and is it more expensive?

That's plenty of space.

Thank you!   :thank-you-smiley3:

Do you have a Michaels or AC Moore in your area?  It's not expensive if you buy it in packs.  If you buy it individually it would cost you around $.25 per sheet.

I wonder if Hobby Lobby would have it?  That is the closest.  We have the other two, but they are the other end of the extremely busy shopping area that everyone seems to drive on at the same time i try to go anywhere.   :))

Okay, I found this: http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/8-1/2-x-11-cream-cardstock-value-pack-848622/

Does that look good?

Marty, check this out.  But be aware some of these prices are per 100 sheets.  http://shop.hobbylobby.com/scrapbooking-and-paper-crafts/scrapbook-paper-cardstock/?color=White

I got 50 sheets of the 8.5"x11" cream.  I also got a sheet of very dark navy for the covers and these stickers: http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/airplane-travel-stickers-578567/

That's awesome.

I wouldn't use card stock. Especially if your planning on folding them.

Are you going to print them in color?

If it's not to much trouble I would like to have one for my DD. I'll gladly pay you for your trouble.

Ray

Ray, I would love to do this, if you can wait until I get back from our trip.  When is your next trip?

very cool.

Thank you!

Marty, are you going to share these files with your fiends?

Help me figure out how to do it, and I will gladly share!

Okay, I have published an updated post showing the frames and I think you can just copy and save the pictures and then print them.

Ray, if you still want me to make one for your dd, pm me.

Duh.  Here is the link for the updated page: http://memoirable.blogspot.com/2014/09/updated-epcot-passport-pages.html
