WBI’s Return to the Fort!

Recommended Posts

CP looks very happy with her wine, but how come I can't see the pictures of you and your girly glass of coffee? Did you drink it with your pinky up? :rofl2:

Thanks for catching that Stef!

I didn' notice that the pics didn't work.

I had to check the picture to see if I held my pinky out, lol!!! I'm glad to say that I did not!

Here you go:

Here's the another picture that messed up before:

We walked around Morocco, where CP tried to meditate:

Saw those too!!! I love wandering Epcot in search of drinks

Good!

Us too!

The Rose and Crown is our favorite though so we end up there a lot!

BTW, I don't normally google strangers obits, I was just curious who this person was and what, if any, affiliation he had with the fort. When I didn't see anything, I thought if I posted it, maybe somebody else would know. Kind of morbid for your TR. :heartsmiley: Sorry bout that.

No worries, I kind of thought the same thing when I posted it, but I was like you and thought maybe if I posted it we'd get some more info on it.

The Freightliner with the large with the roll up doors on both side I belive is meant to carry motorcycles, I think that model can hold 2 full dressed bikes there, I've been looking to get a Freightliner and saw that model a few years back, you might be able to fit a golf cart there also.

Wow thanks for the info!

I could see two full bikes fitting in there, and it had a door on both sides for easier loading and unloading.

It was defintely a nice rig!

Sorry Nick, but even if you get into the "Cast Connection and Property Control", you'll have to show a CM ID Card at checkout in order to buy anything. And sometimes they'll have someone outside checking for IDs to keep out non CMs.

If you know any CMs, they can take you over as their guest. Know any?

Thanks for clearing that up for me Lou, I had I always thought that was how it worked but I heard something different recently.

Now if I only new a CM... :)

Nick, you make an old lady smile! I love seeing you and CP together!

Thank you!

I'm glad your enjoying it!

Make that 2 old ladies smiling! Wonderful pictures it looks like you were having a great time!

Well thank you to you too!

TCD showed a great spot to watch wishes with sound. It is over by the old volley ball court. Speakers right there and great view. I love the ewp and wishes with a blue cigar from the trading post and my friend capt, he comes with a coke. Lol. I am so bringing some lopping sheers and a hammer to find a spike. Awesome report. ,y countdown feels longer than a couple days reading this. Great job bud

I know exactly where you're talking about!

We watched the EWP there one night, it was nice because it got us a little further away from the crowd of people by the marina.

I think I know your friend the Captain, we get a long great, we hang out a lot together!

Thanks for following along!

I love the smiles. They certainly got bigger as your night went on. :)

haha Thanks!

Its funny how that works when walking around Epcot at night!

Thanks for the picture link repair. You do not look girly by any means. I normally only drink coffee first thing in the morning, but since alcohol is included, I may make an exception once.

CP meditating... :))

Have I mentioned that you guys are adorable?! Yeah, I guess I have.

Whenever I give highlights of your report to hubs, I say "You know, the cute couple..." and he knows exactly who I'm talking about.

Great report and great updates.

I'm glad to see you drink your coffee like a man. :rofl2:

I really love the CP meditation photo. But next time warn me to get my sunglasses.... the cute factor is hurting my eyes. ;D

Thanks Kim!

haha I was glad to see that about the coffee too, cause I really couldn't remember at that point!

lol

Great updates, WBI.

About that big tow vehicle, I think this may be the same one:

IMG_2716.jpg

They were parked on the 1200 loop over Christmas, and as you can see from the photo, they had a Christmas scene, complete with a fireplace, set up in the garage area. I believe that they won first place in the site decoration contest.

TCD

Thanks TCD.

I think your right that is the same rig, I think they were in the 1200 loop when I saw them too!

It was a nice setup and that's pretty neat how they decorate inside like that!

I'm the same way with coffee usually only in the mornings, but when its nice and cool out a I like a good adult coffee!

Thanks again!!!!

Ok the time has come; I’m going to wrap up this report right now!

Monday morning I was up early, but honestly not as early as I had wanted.

Either way it was still pretty dark when I headed up to the Settlement area.

DSC06992.jpg

DSC06994.jpg

Even though it was early these little guys had already been fed:

DSC06995.jpg

DSC06996.jpg

I honestly didn’t have anything in mind this morning I just wanted to look around and enjoy the morning.

DSC06997.jpg

DSC06998.jpg

DSC06999.jpg

Soon the sun started to come up.

DSC07000.jpg

DSC07001.jpg

But this sidewalk under the trees is still pretty dark;

Here’s another picture of TCD’s favorite site:

And some pictures from the bridge heading to the campfire area:

Looking across the lake:

DSC07011.jpg

The pool was deserted; you can see the lights were still on:

DSC07012.jpg

DSC07013.jpg

When I got back to the site we hung around soaking in the atmosphere as much as possible, then we made some breakfast and started packing up.

Around 10:30am we loaded up and headed to the overflow parking lot to leave the truck.

We took this last picture of our loop sign on the way:

DSC07015.jpg

After parking in the overflow lot we hopped on the bikes and road back up to the marina to hop a boat to MK.

DSC07016.jpg

DSC07017.jpg

On the boat ride over we saw all these people again clearing the island near the Lodge.

DSC07019.jpg

Does anybody know what’s up with that?

Once we got inside MK we didn’t really have a plan, the idea was to just enjoy the atmosphere as much as possible, we weren’t too worried about riding a lot.

We did some looking around and ended up in Frontier land where we saw the Country Bear Jamboree.

While waiting I got this Pistol Mickey Pressed Penny:

DSC07021.jpg

Then we decided we were hungry.

We had wanted to try a waffle sandwich for a long time now so we headed to Sleepy Hollow and ordered the spicy chicken waffle.

After a little wait it came out fresh and hot.

DSC07022.jpg

I’m not sure if you can tell but its actually pretty big.

CP was a big fan, I liked it but not as much as her.

I think it would have been better if it was spicier; it was more of a sweet and tangy sauce.

I’m not sure what we did after that but I think we road Pirates of the Caribbean.

Then we did something we’ve never done together, we rode the Liberty Belle.

I know TCD just posted some pictures of it but here’s mine.

We timed it just right, they closed the gate behind us so we had no wait.

We wondered all around every deck so I’m just going to post all the pictures:

Here’s the real working paddle wheel:

Stairs:

An inside area:

DSC07026.jpg

The décor in here is great, all old Mississippi river stuff and photos.

Here’s the view of the Haunted Mansion when we first left:

DSC07027.jpg

I’m a big fan of the Tom Sawyer fence painting story.

That's the photo limit.

Was there really a river in the U.S. that had a paddle wheel boat on it that would also have Moose nearby?

DSC07051.jpg

Either way CP loves moose.

After getting off the Liberty Belle we walked around a bit it was now getting to be around 3pm so we decided we better eat again. Lol

We wanted to try a hot dog at Casey’s; it had been a long time. So we split a chilly cheese dog and fries. It was so crowded we had to eat inside where they plat the old cartoons there wasn’t a single table or chair anywhere.

Then we eased down main street looking in the shops along the way:

DSC07061.jpg

It was pretty crowded so we were thinking we would just head back to the Fort.

I took these back near the barber shop:

DSC07063.jpg

DSC07064.jpg

Then we ended up with a front row spot for the parade.

Once back at the Fort we road over to the TCD Barn and looked around, the last pictures I have are of the blacksmith shop:

DSC07082.jpg

DSC07083.jpg

DSC07084.jpg

Then we road down to the Meadow Trading Post, where we bought a few things.

Then out to the truck.

We loaded the bikes and headed home.

We were sad to leave.

But we had a great trip!

Until next time.

Thanks for sharing Nick!

Loved your pics of the riverboat. Since you and TCD got such good pictures it is now on my list of things to do for next trip. Extra cool that you saw the train from the boat.

That darn parade! :banghead: I swear I have nightmares about the Move it Shake it parade!

And just so I won't disappoint....you guys even look cute with your sad faces. ^_^
