stefa70 205
Life has been crazy lately so I just got caught up. That looks like a great campground. I love seeing the lake and kayakers. Did you get out on the water at all?
dblr....Rennie 224
Have you looked at the Honda Fit??No I have not seen that one, the lenght has to be no more then 102" to fit across the back of the cab. Do not want to load it front to rear as it would make the truck to long.

That looks like a great campground. I love seeing the lake and kayakers. Did you get out on the water at all?No I didn't. Having to do all the work myself on a flat lake, just wasn't feeling it!! I really enjoy the water, but was enjoying just being lazy!Looks like a great time!It was!!! mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Saturday morning dawned drizzly. I tried setting under the awning for a bit that morning to get online, but cell service and internet service STUNK!! The only way I could get internet at my site was to sit up near the road with my aircard out from under the trees. Well computers and drizzle don't mix, so I hopped in the truck and took my laptop up to their little store and used their WiFi for an hour or so.By then the drizzle had stopped and it turned into a beatiful day!I went wandering around some more to chat with more folks and to get pictures of the campers that had arrived Friday afternoon/evening.By this time it was early afternoon, and it was time to start thinking about starting my contribution to the potluck, which was just a big ol crockpot full of corn on the cob, and I had a delightful lunch of potato chips and dip :)Later that afternoon, I decided I needed to do "something", and I remember seeing a dam while I was trying to get to the campground on Thursday evening, so I drove over there and wandered around and took pictures. That's coming up next! mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
When we last left off, I was ready for a little field trip. Dams and nuclear power plants fascinate me. TVA has done a wonderful thing building all this in the 30s and 40s. It put lots of folks back to work, AND we have the cheapest electricity in the nation in our area thanks to the TVA. This was a recreation area built on the shores of the damI'm now walking UNDER the bridgeLot's of bird nests under the bridgePhoto limit!

TnBob 311
I never heard of it before so I had to look it up: PiezometerFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaA piezometer is either a device used to measure static liquid pressure in a system by measuring the height to which a column of the liquid rises against gravity, or a device which measures the pressure (more precisely, the piezometric head) of groundwater at a specific point. A piezometer is designed to measure static pressures, and thus differs from a pitot tube by not being pointed into the fluid flow.
