This picture is interesting.  The man's attire including the glasses case in his pocket reminds me a lot of how my grandfather looked in the mid to late 60's.  But considering the background, this must be around 1980.  I think the only logical explanation is...the man is a time traveler.

That is a picture of Ronald Schmeckler, the maintenance worker who was responsible for placing the golf ball on those supports. A little known fact is that the ball only weighs 80 lbs, and Schmeckler placed it on the supports unassisted using a large step ladder. It was tricky, since it was a windy day, but you can see the pride in Schmecklers face for a job well done.
