Just Beachy 18
I might be able to get my dh to go to MK again! The last time he was there, 2004, we had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. Once we were seated, our waiter came to get our drink order. Dh asked him what was on tap. The waiter very politely, and somewhat apologetically, explained to him that they don't serve alcohol at the MK. Meanwhile, Dh is glaring at me as if I KNEW this and conspired with Disney against him. When John asked him why no alcohol is served at MK, the waiter told him that this was the park most geared toward the little ones. To which John responded, "You need it MORE here!!!". Apparently, after seeing all the angry parents pushing crying children in strollers, John had decided that perhaps Disney wasn't the most magical place. :rofl2:

You have to have dinner reservations at the new Be Our Guest restaurant. It's only served at that location and for dinner only. They have not announced any plans to move it to the other sit down restaurants.

Lou... 3,118
Walt didn't want people drunk at his park. It is a family place. thay also didn't sell gum or cigarette. Fun walk was a big time smokerThe reason they don't sell gum or cigarettes has nothing to do with Walt's views one way or the other. It's all about keeping the parks clean. The gum chewing morons that throw their chewed gum on the paved walkways have made it necessary that gum not be sold at WDW. It's very difficult to remove. And the slobs smokers that throw their cigarette butts on the ground are disgusting as well and have forced Disney to have dedicated smoking areas, but even there, they still throw butts on the ground. Onkel Hans 25
Disneyland was Walt's first park for families. Club 33 serves alcohol.
