  1. This trip started in New Mexico in 2011..Ft. Wilderness or Bust.. The very first night it almost became a bust! Our first night was in Texas, since this was in late April we had out weather radio on. It went off for a tornado! This night was the only time our little TV actually picked up a local station and we watched the weatherman. Luckily for us, it was way up north of us and a small one. (We didn't really have any wind where we were). We made it through the night..

  4. A sad note, saw Davy Jones in one of his last Flower Power concerts... He was my first "crush" back in 1967. Sorry the picture isn't very good. We had to go over and check out Harry Potter. I'm the short one.. OH, I had to have one of these before we left the Fort..

  5. We didn't have many squashed bugs until we left John Penningcamp SP and headed to Orlando. Most of that was done in one day. lol We liked 1521. It was close to the comfort stations, bus stop and tether ball. We didn't play though as DH is 6'2" and I'm 5'4", he'd just hit it over my head. If you have kids that need a nightlight, it was great as the lights from the meadows shined through the canvas. Once I closed my eyes all was good. :) We were there over Mother's Day, no AC but we used a fan and slept fine. We brought our bikes and rode around the campground with no difficulty or accidents

  8. There are two different boats that go from the dock at the Fort. One goes to the Magic Kingdom, and as Carol mentioned, that only starts about 30 minutes before the park is scheduled to open. There is a second boat and that goes to the other resorts on Bay Lake. When I want to make rope drop at the Magic Kingdom, I leave my campsite about 90 minutes before rope drop and take the boat to the Contemporary, then walk over to the Magic Kingdom. This got me to the Magic Kingdom in plenty of time to get a good spot near the rope. I also only use Disney transportation while there. I always ke

  10. If they do this I wish they would connect the Lodge to the Fort with a frontier town with shops, entertainment, and restaurants. And plenty of golf cart parking at each place.
