  1. Grey! Yuck. I like the idea I saw on the other MB thread about making a garland for the Christmas tree but with just the DW and myself I doubt we will ever get enough to be practical. Just going to take the ones we have and tell them we will use those and see what happens. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the responses. Is there a way to not have to order new ones? We have a enough junk as it is and don't need more. I also hate throwing something away that is reusable. While it is looking like we might end up going to Epcot for the Food and Wine Fest the current plan is no Disney parks but we still need access to the CS, other resorts and the like.
  3. I've searched the site as best I can and looked around the WDW site but couldn't find the answer that I'm sure is out there in the ether. We have our MB's from last October and I am wondering how to tie them to our current reservation. I have tied my reservation to MyDisneyExperience account but I the Incredible welcome package I received and the website indicate I need to order MB's. Is this a case of poor website design and welcome package programming I can ignore or is there something else I need to do?
  4. I remember when Styx played at high schools and seeing them there to boot.
  5. I'll bet they aren't planning a Frozen attraction.
  6. I've been thinking about this and think Disney is making a mistake. Yes, I know they could care less about my opinion. Rightly or wrongly I've always looked at Epcot as the adult park. Many of the rides are geared to older kids and adults. The World Showcase has always reminded of a global party the few times I've been there and not really something I would have wanted my kids around when they were little. It is also the place where I go when I want to get away from Disney so to speak. Adding a new non-existant country geared to a Disney movie ruins some of the best features of the park for me
  7. We hadn't planned on going to the parks this year but the F&W overlaps our first two days so we might have to make a run. We will be arriving on the 15th from the Savannah area so going then would make for an easy meal plan that day.
  8. I would love to have a Matterhorn on this coast. I was always one of my favorites at Disney Land.
  9. I'm not sure Peru would be much better than Russia on the culinary front. While I can see the Guinea Pig population needs to be controlled I'm not sure cooking them up is the best way to handle it. Not to mention I don't think I could eat anything that has been the subject of two South Park episodes.
  10. When I've heard of folks falling overboard on cruise lines it has always been associated with alcohol.
  11. I think a bar based WDH would be better for heavier load distributions. Comparing prices a 1000/10000 lbs Equal-i-zer is about the same price as the Anderson so if you don't mind a bit of noise and an older, proven design I would still go with an Equal-i-zer.
  12. It would be nice if they keep this as an ongoing thing for the restaurants. They say they are going to do other restaurants but don't mention if it is just a short term special event or a long term thing. Rene and I enjoy going to the Food Truck Roundups when they occur in our area. They are a far cry from the roach coaches and taco wagons of my younger years.
  13. The same thing happened here in NC with Internet Cafes and the Cherokee although it was pitched as a way to protect people from the evils of gambling. I don't remember specifically seeing this but seem to recall the state lottery doing some lobbying against computer gaming too. It seems they go after teh same player base. The thing is it didn't stop a lot of these folks from gambling. All it did was drive them to offshore internet sites that there is no possibility of monitoring or regulating.
  14. Another case of legislation run amok. When will they learn making this stuff illegal does nothing but drive it underground and stops innocent games such as you have at WDW. OK off my soap box before I get in trouble.
  15. Sounds about right. My gut feeling is the trailer you list in your original post will come in closer 7500 lbs once all is said and done and your hitch weight closer to 800-850. So you still need to determine if the 5393 lbs + 500 lbs + 850 < GVWR for the vehicle. If it is you should be ok weight wise as the numbers go. You are correct on your wheelbase thoughts. The longer the wheel base of the TV the more stable you should should be. How good of a weight distribution hitch you have and how well it is set up goes a long way towards stability as is adequate anti-sway control. Our Explorer'
  16. No the trailer weight is 6590 lbs. The hitch weight is the amount of weight the trailer adds to the TV hitch and therefore the TV. It is primarily used to determine your hitch and receiver requirements but is also used when calculating whether the GVWR is being exceeded as it is added to the cargo in the TV. I like to start with the GCVWR. From this I subtract the TV curb weight. The result is how much capacity I have for passengers, cargo and towing. From here I subtract TV passengers and cargo (GVWR). What's left is how much I have available for the trailer and it's cargo. As an exampl
  17. The hitch weight is the tongue weight for a TT. It needs to be specified separately so you can install a hitch and receiver of adequate size to handle both loads (think gross trailer weight as pulling and hitch/tongue and downward load). Using a weight distribution hitch you will also need to add in the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle to determine size. My guess you are looking a 10K weight distribution hitch and receiver for those trailer specs. If you are talking about a fifth wheel I have no idea what to calculate.
  18. "Sometimes Daddy doesn't wear pants." It was a little girl talking to whom I assume was grandma, later qualified it was about their trip to the swimming pool and dad taking off pants to expose his swimsuit.
  19. That was a flashback. I remember seeing the video as a kid on Disney's Wonderful World of Color. Seeing the old control system they used makes you think about what folks considered high tech through the years.
  20. By using the magic words. "Presto Chango"? It is Disney magic after all.
  21. I could certainly see where they could do something like the Expensive Cabins at Fort Wilderness complete with a private beach and launch to the parks if this is successful. The only thing I think that would hold them back is the moneyed clients would be too close to the rest of us common folks.
