  1. I really just wanted to use the emoji pulling it's hair out - - but if I were to argue the point (I won't becasue I think you are right), I would state the his baldness was likely the RESULT of one too many days of helmet head. :rofl2:
  2. Darth Vader needs a comb because nothing, and I mean NOTHING, causes hat hair like a vader helmet. :1sm056pullhair:
  3. When we were there in May, there was a gentleman sitting in Tortuga that was trading cards with folks to help them complete their collections. My daugher love the game, but I agree, it takes ALOT of time. Generally, she and I will pop over to MK early in the morning just to play the game whilst her Dad works around the RV. I do wish they would introduce some new cards. I think she has the complete set (or close to it) - minus the special purchase ones. On our trip in July, she wanted to do the pirate adventure and collect those maps...that one seems more like the Perry's Secret Agent thing
  4. Any big Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom fans out there?? My daughter LOVES is and moved onto the medium level after our trip in May. We started to play the mediumin July, but it was so darn hot and then we lost our map...so we only beat one villian that trip. Anybody know what the deal is with "rare cards?" Someone told me there is ONE special rare card that is in a pack daily...rumor or fact? I thought you could only get the rare cards by buying the at the jewelry store on main street.
  5. Maybe...had not considered that. Could certainly be useful in re-heating...Pizza muffins sound really good. I am hungry now...getting grumpy. MUST. EAT. OWN. FOOT. :fork: :fork: :fork:
  6. These sound yummy! So if you don't freeze them, do you bake these in an RV or before you go? Two reasons for my question...(1) I am apparently camper baking impared. Everything I cook in the RV gas oven comes out cooked unevenly. I'm believe it is user error... (2) If you make them ahead, how long do they keep in the fridge? Last trip out I made some pigs in a blanket and they got so soggy in the fridge - GROSS.
  7. We are only 3...two chick and a dude...we don't do hungry...or thirsty. We get grouchy reallllly quickly...thus, mama always has snacks and drinks on hand. Will be the first to admit - - - my jekyll side is triggered by hunger...and hyde comes back when fed. Sad, but true! And here is a ninja.... ...just cuz.
  8. HAHAHA....BUT... I am on team Parrott Bay with some fancy OJ! Great idea! Daughter seriously dislikes Florida water. beef jerky is a good one! We've done a fish cracker snack mix before...although it is possible, just possible, that I put too much garlic in. Would help us if we ran into some vampires, but probably off putting at meet n greets. Next time, light on the garlic!!!
  9. SO, we are big on taking our own lunch or dinner into the park to save money. Each trip we pick one or two places we really want to eat and hit those - - - but otherwise it is all carried in. We always have granola bars, fruit, and plenty of water on hand. Our go to meal (so far) has been dried summer sausage, with smoked cheese, sweet n' spicy mustard, and club crackers. It keeps well, is filling and loved by our little family of three. Now I am looking for new ideas. SO... What are you and your family's favorite "carry-in" snacks & meals??
  10. That's good to know. I've always wanted to check out AKL! :jumpforjoy
  11. I've always wondered...which activites are open to all and which are just for folks staying at that particular resort? We like to resort hop to trade pins in the gift shops and have always wondered about the other programs. I know you can't just plop your self down at any pool you want...but what about the educational programs for kids???
  12. This is a very interesting discussion and for my part, have drawn the following conclusion to my original post/question. As with any ethical matter there are always multiple sides to the story. While someone new to the fort might be unaware that there is a distinction between pet and non-pet loops, those of us who have been in the past are aware of the difference...and "knowing" is half the battle. So, for me, it seems to make the most sense to stick to requesting a site in a pet loop, if for no other reason then out of respect for the people who do not want to be around pets. But I agree wi
  13. This is Daisy - - - whom we also refer to as wee-pups & little poop...
  14. For all you "Fruit Loops" in the "Pet Loops".... :rofl2:
  15. I have been looking for a reason to use these little guys  ... :dropjaw:
  16. Pet agreement? Is this something that people sign upon check in? I have never been given one of these, but we always disclose that we have a pet and pay the $5 a night fee. Interesting...
  17. Okay, I have no idea why that post appeared a million times... :banghead:
  18. I think you are right about requesting...I certainly don't want to bug people... We've been placed in non-pet loops in 2 of our last 3 trips despite indicating that we had a pet and paying the fee.
  19. I am new around here and am quite certain that I am reaching my question quota...BUT... We travel with our dog, Daisy, who weighs 5+nothing and let's face it barely counts as a whole dog and while she is insane, we love her anyway. I have been reading some post that indicate that sometimes folks with pets are placed in non-pet loops; we were, in fact, place in a non-pet loop on our last trip, despite requesting a pet loop. SO, my question is, can you request a site in a non-pet loop even if you have a pet? Any experience with such requests? We have a preferred site booked for Thanksgiving
  20. BUSY DAY TACO SOUP: 1lb Browned Ground Beef or Turkey 1 Large Can Corn (don't drain) 1 Large Can of Pinto Beans (don't drain) 1 Large Can of Rotel Tomatoes (don't drain) - I puree it because my family "doesn't like chuncks of stuff floating in their soup." 1 packet taco seasoning 1 packet ranch seasoning Throw it all in a pot and simmer...add water to get consistancy you want. Add salt and pepper to taste (although we generally find it isn't necessary). We top it off with sliced avacado, sour cream, cheese, green onions, and crushed tortilla chips! MEAT PIE: Ingredients: 1lb ground bee
  21. Great pictures, gang! This is now of my list of resorts to visit - - - just to look around!
  22. We are going just before Thanksgiving (Nov 20-26)...how early do folks start decorating their sites??? I don't want to be "that person", but would like to plan ahead :)
  23. Do folks cancel around major holidays too? Still trying to get a site upgrade around Thanksgiving, and considering a trip out after Christmas (likely staying offsite - - BOOOOO!) I've been checking the site daily, but didn't think about the 5-day site only cancellations...food for thought...and fingers crossed!
  24. :rofl2: Naughty dole whips....hahahaha! And, I'll take two, please.
