  2. Another great site for you to check out Gwen http://www.ncgunowners.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=16
  3. You can legally bring them with you. If you want to buy another handgun while living in NC, that is where you run into a problem.
  4. http://www.grnc.org/ Gwen, peruse the site above. Maybe you can find some help on there. Particularly this one: http://www.grnc.org/contact
  5. Gwen, No, no, no, no....That is not a good idea. Do not do attempt that with a handgun, unless it was manufactured in 1898 or earlier. That will have the BATFE contacting you and jumping down on with both feet the dealer who would let an out of state resident walk out with a "modern" handgun. This wouldn't be a problem if you did this with a Rifle or Shotgun. Long gun laws are less strict then handgun laws. I'll state it again, for my day job, I work for an auction company that holds an FFL (Federal Firearms License). According to our sources at the BATFE, we have the 2nd highest c
  6. Gwen, You legally cannot buy a handgun from GA and transport it yourself to your home. You can buy it, but it would have to be shipped to a FFL dealer in your state. I've shipped handguns to NC FFL dealers for winning auction bidders recently. I'm assuming all of those bidders had a permit since none have come back. As for being discriminated against, contact your state representative and state senator and voice your concerns. It seems like each county has it's own rules that vary throughout the state.

  8. The RXT would be better suited (height wise) to pull a camper vs the CXT pictured above but the RXT came with the 6.0 for some asinine reason. Can you imagine the payload rating on the above truck. Would definitely be able to pull all 5er campers with that. The dream 5er we want has too much pin weight for even a DRW 350/3500...hence the dream hauler above :)
  9. I'm assuming you are looking at a Ruger LCR. Here's a link to my friends shop for price comparisons for you. http://www.gunstores.net/items/GunSearchResults.aspx?d=L4LZ1Cd5qME=&u=&g=&z=hw5JxXVcO9E=&manuf=Ruger&category=1&guntype=Revolver: Double Action&model=LCR&caliber=38SP&price=0&instock=0 We have quite a few LCRs come through the auction here as well. In fact, we have one that is going to be auctioned off on Sunday, December 11th. It's lot 23. "23. Ruger – Mod. LCR – 38 Spl. +P Cal. Double Action Hammerless Revolver – (w/1 ¾”
  10. As a gas owner, there is no comparison in pulling power with diesel vs gas in most cases. There are some older diesel dogs out there that can be out-towed by new gas engines, (you'll have to like the sound of high revs) but that's not the case since that one horrible diesel was taken off the market in 2009. On the market today, the biggest towing related advantage the gas engines have over diesels is a higher payload capacity (which is what you need to be concerned about if you move to a 5er) The Big 4 offer the exact same gas engines in their 250/2500s all the way through the 350/3500s. I

  12. Tom, since 2012 the big4 have upped their payload capacities greatly. 1700 lb pin weight can easily and safely be done with a lot of gas equipped 250/2500 trucks. My pin weight dry is 1215 lbs. when I had it weighed it was 1450 lbs. The truck goes down less then an inch with the camper attached. Just my 2500 With payload rating of 2831 lbs. and with just the wife and I and 3 little dogs I am well within the limits. Keep in mind the same year 3500 similarly equipped SRW has a payload rating of 3900-4000 lbs. however I will agree that 4 tires on the ground is more sta
  13. Nacole, Just to clarify, I have a 2015 Chevy 2500 Crew Cab 4x4. I haven't driven a Dodge/Ram since July 2014 but in my opinion, they were better then the Fords as well. I may be mistaken, but I believe there is a huge difference between the rear suspensions of the Ram 2500s and 3500s. One has Coil Over Shocks while the other just has Leaf Springs. At the moment I can't recall which series has what, but I would have to guess the 2500s are Coil Over Shocks since that would be the softer ride. This 2500 has a softer ride then my previous 2011 GMC 1500 Ext. Cab 4x4. So much softer t

  15. Towing capacity isn't your concern. Payload will be. Not intending to say "told you so" but from the start I recommended to you that if you were going to buy a diesel that you should skip the 250 and get a 350. The diesels have about 400-600 lbs less payload then their gas counter parts. I still regret not going up to the 3500 as an identically equipped 3500 as mine has 4000 lbs payload vs my 2,831 lbs on my 2500. As for the ride being rough. In my experience that's a Ford flaw. We have 4 mostly new different 250s of different trim and suspension packages at my day job and all 4 ar
  16. if you got the 4714 from the tire in the indented part near "DOT" that means they were produced the 47th week of 2014. If you plan to move up in size and rating, make sure your wheels can handle the the max pressure of going to load range D. My wheels can't for example, on the inside of the wheels there is a stamp that says not to exceed 55 psi. The Carlisle Load Range C tires I put on have a max cold psi of 50. I believe Load Range D tires have a max psi of 65. It was drilled into my head from my drag racing days to drive slow and keep the max cold psi in the tires and make sure the whe

  25. Oh, that's easy. Just buy the next scratch off tickets after me. Monday night, I stopped in to visit my wife at her part time job and I bought 4 different scratch off tickets from her for $20. scratched them off there to find losers and said to her jokingly, watch, the next ones are winners. I go home and she calls me a half hour later. Some dude bought one of the next tickets, scratched it off and it was a $250 winner. She calls back a short time later and some woman won $50 off another game that I played. She calls me at 11 pm to say the next ticket on another game was $20. I then to
