You guys are looking at this all wrong... Just pack your nice clothes (suits, wedding gown, dresses, etc.) in a few coolers and drive to the Fort.  Tell the guard at the shack some tale that will get you to the overflow lot.  Board the bus with all of your stuff and pretend you are going to the pool for the day... Get off at the Settlement, have your wedding and call it day.

Nacole, this is slightly off topic (who would ever guess that that would happen here), but by the time you get to the end of this "RV journey" you will be well positioned to either sell and/or service RV's, sell trucks, or run a successful campground!  You go and tell your husband to hug your neck every morning on behalf of all the husbands and men on this board... Not to no way dismiss the wives and women on this board, but your desire for knowledge and answers is awesome and very impressive!!

Just walked out to the mailbox and retrieved by box from Disney containing my Magic Band...  As Jen said, the new style Magic Bands are being shipped even though the website still shows the pictures of the old style.  They even threw in the little passholder slider.  Now just need to go and schedule a trip!

I too agree with the others who have posted, this story is so awesome.  Kind of gives a new meaning to a "live trip report"!

I am praying hard that everything will work out. 

Joan is so very beautiful that I literally cried when I saw her. The hardest part will be letting her be our son's service dog and not my special girl. I've had a sweet spot for German Shepherds and Great Danes since I was a little girl. 

Interestingly, of all the dogs (and cats) that we have ever had, we have never intentionally set out to acquire them. They just sort of find their way to us, where they live until ripe old ages. The entrance to our property is a what I call a Realtor's nightmare. As you drive through the little wooded areas, the first thing you see, on the right, is a clearing with one of our dogs' grave, complete with standing tombstone and a photo of him laser etched on it.

We have two cats as well, although I couldn't tell you for sure where either came from. One we brought when we moved from WV, but she just randomly moved in with us there. The other has done the same since we lived here. I think we have that "sucker" gene that animals can sniff out.  

Sounds like Joan the GSD will be going home to Roberta's on Sunday.   Thanks to all that helped.   And if this for some reason falls through I will let you guys know

I feel your pain Roberta...  I was trying to download some pictures from MDE website on Saturday and it kept telling me that the password and/or username was incorrect...  Just to make sure that I hadn't been hacked, I tried to login through the iPhone app with the same credentials and had no problems...

I just spoke to my daughter and she and some of her friends went to see it last night... She called me a little while ago and told me that she absolutely loved the movie, and she is not a die hard Star Wars "groupie" either...  In fact, she has asked one of her friends who has all the prior movies to borrow them over the Christmas break so that she and I can watch them all...  So if you happen to be in the neighborhood over the holidays with nothing better to do, stop by and watch with us!

You know I had thought about driving to Charlotte to pick up I-77, and that will take me right past you guys... Have a bag packed by the door and be ready.  However, I may take Hwy 1 toward Sanford and Aberdeen and hopefully can pick up I-95 in SC...
Thanks Beckers... Getting word through Facebook and the news that I-95 is still blocked from Dunn through Fayetteville, then again down near Lumberton.  I may have to take my alternate route...

Gwen, unless you guys have pressing plans to be back home by a certain time, why don't you head NW of the Fort, hit I-75 and see if you can stop in Destin or some other place away from the east coast and just enjoy yourselves... After this storm heads up north or out to sea (like they are "sort of" predicting now), then you and David can take a leisurely trip home.  As others have said, I-95 is going to be a mad house and once you get to that long stretch of nothing in SC, and if traffic backs up, or someone does something stupid, you are pretty much stuck. As you guys pull out, top off the fuel tank and use that motorhome as it was intended...  You have the advantage that the folks in cars don't... you get to ride in your living room!
