  1. My DD went to the kids center at AK lodge and loved it. We had dinner and drinks at the lodge and when we went to pick her up she didn’t want to leave. Maybe a local babysitting service could come out to your campsite and watch the kids. Maybe they could take them to the camp fire and movie. While y’all go out for a few hours. Happy anniversary
  2. I heard it will start May 15th. Can you confirm or deny this rumor? if possible I’d like to order one for our May 23 trip.
  3. $199 per person! thats $600 for my fam. And for $600 I’ll take myself, DW, and DD to the California grill. We would great food, awesome desserts and the best view of the MK fireworks.
  4. Love the update. But now I’m hungry 😋 I’m planning on hitting Epcot 3 times in 3 weeks. I might just have to try some of those vegan meatballs.
  5. What? Did they fire you! 😂 just kidding!. Btw. How does a campground in Tennessee get the name Texas T? Are the owners from Texas?
  6. Hope it meets your needs. Glad you will be keeping the bar. Does it have the sleeper sofa or theatre seats?
  7. Your absolutely right. There’s only one quick service restaurant i like at MK. And that’s Columbia house. Cosmic Ray’s is ok. BOG is to crowded and it’s still hard to get a rezzie. Not crazy about Skipper’s canteen. We didn’t really like the food we tried there. Also, we’ve been known to leave MK to eat dinner.
  8. Great minds think alike. You listed some of our favorite places...boat house dock bar, Ragland road, geyser point, California grill, any bar at the Poly, Nomad Lounge. I am staying first night at Pop, then 4 nights at Wyndham bonnet creek, and then 4 nights at Pop again. My DW and DD will not join me until the third day at Bonnet creek. So I will have 3 nights by myself.
  9. Your little chef sure knows his way around some scrambled eggs. Yummy!
  10. So I was bored and scrolling through WDW menus for something new on them and realized I’ve never eaten at Katsura Grill in Japan. i don’t know how I’ve missed it. maybe because when we eat in Japan it’s alwsys Teppan edo The food looks and sounds good and seems reasonably priced. So what’s your opinion on Katsura grill? best menu item? worst menu item? sushi, good or bad?
  11. I decided last minute to come one day earlier next month. I looked at several hotels around WDW to stay at. Most decent hotels that have A swimming pool and a restaurant start at about $125 per night. I was able to book pop for $125 per night. Since I’ll be flying in I’ll be using Disney’s magical express. This will save me approximately $30 over an Uber ride. So for me, this trip is definitely worth staying on property.
  12. Do you think part of the reason they made you park at the MK parking is because you were in your MoHo?
  13. That stinks! Did they make you pay for parking?
  14. It must be are charming personalities and devilish good looks! 😂
  15. We go to the poly quite often. It’s our favorite monorail Resort. And in the past we just parked where ever we wanted to. But last summer the guard had us park to the right, as you enter the parking lot.
  16. Interesting. I never knew or thought about a resorts parking lot getting full. I just figured they had more than enough parking spots for all their guests.
  17. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact we are AP holders? the guards know we get free parking at the parks. So maybe they figure there’s no need for us t try and park at a resort to avoid paying parking fees?
  18. “They try to limit access when lot is closed” what lot is closed? The resort lot? Or the parks, parking lots? it would make sense for the guards to be on high alert if the parks are full. ive gone to the several resorts during the busiest time of the year, Christmas and said we are going to take pictures or walk around and we’ve never been turned away. I mentioned swimming pools are reserved for resort guests and forgot the fitness center. Your right the fitness center is for resort guests only.
  19. Yep? but I’m the 7-11’s in Italy you can get a Beverly slurpee. Yum!
  20. See I and probably Disney completely disagree with you calling yourself a freeeloader. Disney wants people to visit the resorts, including the fort and doing exactly what you were doing. Spending money. I don’t know where this idea that the fort and it’s facilities are for the exclusive use of fort guests. Yes the pool is for the use of fort guests but that’s the same at all resorts. Except for dvc members. They can use some of the other pools around WDW. Amd yes there people who are not fort guests that use the swimming pools. And non resort guest who use the picnic pav
