  1. We are only a family of three and I absolutely agree with you. Our biggest expense, after lodging and tickets, Is food. We usually do a split stay. Our timehsare at bonnet creek and then a Disney Resort. I love saving money by eating almost every breakfast at our condo/room. Even at Disney we keep bagels, yogurt and fruit in our fridge for breakfasts. For a splurge we also rent DVC points to stay at a deluxe resort. We are thinking about 7 days this thanksgiving at Boardwalk villas and it going to cost $1638, studio. The studios come with fridge, microwave,
  2. I’m your OP you said you were done with All Stars. But have you been since they’ve redone the rooms with the queen sized Murphy bed and the regular queen bed? its a game changer. Normally my DW and DD would share a double bed and then I’d have the other double to myself.im not a big guy and my DW isn’t either but two adults in a double bed SMB. Also with the Murphy bed up there’s is a considerablely more usable real estate in the room. Actually last time we stayed at a Value resort we stayed at POP. And we are staying there this May. We like it better than t
  3. Btw. Love Irish sausage. Im going to have to try s’mores with bananas next time. But you have to explain what the foil is for??? when we make s’mores we just take two graham crackers and two squares of chocolate and a roasted marshmallow between them. All we need is a stick to roast the marshmallows.
  4. I don’t think they announce which one and when it will be available. At least I don’t remember them doing that.
  5. I’m in! great start. Looking forward to reading more. Is the chocolate and marshmallows on a banana?
  6. But seriously. How hard is it to transport one on planes? We live in Oklahoma and 99% of the time we fly to Orlando or anaheim. I’ve heard that the TSA won’t allow certain batteries on board and certain sizes either.
  7. Lol! with my back and leg issues one day i might need one. I have issues with standing or walking for long periods of time. The waiting in Ques is the worst for my back I wonder if the VA will cover one???
  8. Y’all missed out on the beauty of having a stroller. DD was 2 1/2 years old on her first trip. And we loved having a stroller. It held her snacks, drinks, extra clothes. She took her afternoon nap in it. The stroller allowed us to enjoy the park for longer each day. There’s no way a 2 1/2 year old could walk around all day nor my back could have handled carrying her for extended periods of time. Sometimes I wish we still had the stroller. I’m tired of lugging around a back pack all day. 😂
  9. Agree. Unfortunately some people will abuse rules designed to help people with special needs. On our last trip to DL with my mom I looked into getting a used scooter. But we were only going for 2 days. And it had been 4 years since her last trip to DL or WDW. Not sure how long the batteries last and replacing them can’t be cheap. Also, transporting a scooter thru airports from Oklahoma to California or Orlando is a P.I.T.B. For my mom’s situation it just doesn’t make sense to buy a scooter.
  10. Exactly. The problem isn’t the scooter or the stroller. It’s the people who operate them.
  11. Wow! A change that i actually agree with! Lol.
  12. My 80 yr old mom doesn’t use a scooter on a daily basis. So she doesn’t own her own. As a matter of fact the last time she used one was at Disneyland. She doesn’t need a scooter on a daily basis. Because she’s not at a park we’re she is walking several miles every day. She needs a scooter at WDW. So yes. Many peoples first time using a scooter is at WDW or other amusement parks. I don’t think it’s a good idea to punish legitimate users of scooters because a few people abuse them I think it would be best if Disney had a set of uniform standards that all scooter companies used.
  13. No I get that a teenager built it and it’s probably suppose to look cheap. But it just looks cheap. I think they failed.
  14. For us a stay at the Fort is a treat. A splurge. And now that a site costs as much as a value resort it’s a luxury Since we don’t own a RV we have to rent one or rent a cabin. It’s $150-$200/ night to rent an RV plus the cost of the site. Usually over $300/ night. And that’s if you can get a site when we go. Christmas and summer. Its definetely more economical to stay off site. And most trips that’s just what we do. Yet we go visit the fort every trip. To see fiends, eat a meal, or just enjoy the Fort.
  15. Not to be overly critical but it look like someone build this thing with spare parts. It looks cheap! And I too could barely understand him. What was the name of the trashcan at Rafiki’s planet watch? Push? he was good.
  16. I’d like to take a Disney tour someday. This might be a good first tour for us, That’s cheap for a 3 hour tour. Did the weather start getting rough? was their tiny ship tossed?
  17. I’m in. And second. I’m glad to know that second is still the number one spot. Lol. Look forward to reading more!
  18. Do you know what it was before and after story land opened.
  19. Agree X2. Our condo/timeshare is next door to these hotels at Wyndham bonnet creek. We been over there several times for drinks and dinner. Both are really nice hotels. Excellent bars, pools, golf course, and restaurants. And being closer to DHS and Epcot then several Disney hotels they have great views of their fireworks.
  20. I like the idea of the phone thing. It sounds like it will help with the immersive feeling. It will be cool to be able to translate Aurebesh (Star Wars language) into English. And to be able to listen in on First Order and Resistance radio transmissions. And “hack” into video feeds, etc. but i am a Star Wars fan/geek! Lol.
  21. We have used garden grocer before and Walmart’s delivery works the same except you pay a lot less. There’s no mark up at Walmart. You pay exactly the same as if you went to the store yourself.
