Rumor has it that these are by far the hardest thing to find at rundisney events. According to what I've read from people who were at the wdw marathon, there were 500 pairs for the wdw marathon and another 500 pairs for DL's Tinkerbelle marathon this weekend but they sold out in wdw so fast that they shipped 250 more pairs from the Tink allottment to wdw. Assuming the numbers quoted are accurate and no more shoes produced, that would have left only 250 pairs for Tink. What I do know for sure is that once again ff.net had fiends on the scene for accurate & up to date info on this and other

What being a Fiend is ALL ABOUT
rdancemom... Pam replied to LORNADUCK's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
There sure are a lot of new informative & entertaining posts here every day. Mo's above was almost long enough to make me worry about losing my unofficial official longest post poster status. I should ramble a bit now just to be sure she doesn't get my title. Instead I've got to tel you about something that just happened. I opened this thread a few minutes ago to catch up, only to be interrupted by a phone call from a fiend on the other end of the country who was standing in a long line waiting to pick up an almost-impossible-to-get-rather-pricey-disney-treasure I only mentioned wanting he -

I'll take fairies over Hannah & the Jonas Bros any day too. I can't tell all the supplemental fairyfolk apart but I'm still pretty sure they'd make better role models anyway. That purple crayon is downright scary. If you insist on drawing pictures of the fort without campers, maybe you could use lime green to make it look more realistic... :clint: -
I joined the Disney D&B fb group and have really enjoyed it. Those ladies are true enablers and buy/sell/swap between themselves, often at really affordable prices. Not being a huge fashionista type I always get a kick out of the photos some share. They hang their bags on the wall and call them art or put lights & shelves in their closets to display them. Do you have enough shelves?

Love the tie-dye shirts! You've got one adorable lil pirate there matey!!

They are pricey but they last forever - and each is registered so you can send them back for repairs/replacement if there ever is a problem. I haven't been a purse person in years but I'm sure making up for it now. I blame the fiends. If Mo hadn't posted about the special sale at DTD last July, I'd probably still be using my pockets. :kickinass: OTOH I've had to cancel 3 trips now so I've actually saved money in some odd sort of convoluted way. No matter how bad my day, when I have to go into my purse for something it's a subtle reminder that this madness of medical visits & uncertainty wo

I know there at least a couple of us who appreciate the Disney Dooney & Bourke purses. I saw this Disney Style Snapshots - Behind the Scenes video on the disney parks blog today and thought it worth sharing... http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2013/01/disney-style-snapshots-dooney-bourke-behind-the-scenes/

Okay, I can't resist, I've got to ask... Of course I know it's all about the running and stuff, but are you & Judy picking up one of the coveted purple Tinkerbell Dooney & Bourke bags from the marathon at the expo??

YES program question
rdancemom... Pam replied to HappyCamper...Deb's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
yup, I took one of the last boats from the fort to MK and ran in a few minutes before they closed to pick up a few years ago b/c I didn't fully read the email until bedtime the night before DD12's AK class. Last July we picked up at DTD. It was much easier. If you have an AP, you won't need the YES chaperone ticket but, unless they change the rules, would need to buy one anyway. Is there anyone traveling with you or around at the same time who might want to take that ticket off your hands? It's not as good a savings as it used to be but still a deal over regular MYW prices... -
Awesome! I'm running out in a few mins to get Starla from work. Maybe there'll be new pics when I get back. :jumpforjoy We're supposed to get ice & snow tonight too. We get notified of cancellations/delays by automated text & emails now. It's nice for early closures but I miss the excitement & anticipation of watching the news before dawn, waiting for the right county school system to scroll by. Yelling YESSSSS all alone after reading an email just doesn't have that same celebratory snow day feel to it...

oooooh ahhhhh... maybe i can make the first page of something again. Either way, I'm in. Can't wait to hear more. :jumpforjoy -
There's no doubt that there's a huge difference in staying off property and on but there are some very nice resorts off property too and it can still be a magical trip. IMO what makes a trip magical to me isn't disney theming, it's the family's experience. The Swan & Dolphin aren't owned by disney so technically considered "off property" but right in the middle of the magic and with a nicer pool than BWI next door. Bonnet Creek is just past there, on property but not, with fantastic activities, room to spread out, and a budget friendly rate.

I love Bonnet Creek. Would stay there over a value and several of the mods in a heartbeat. I agree with Lou, people tend to get caught up in the whole on property thing wondering if their vacation will be any less magical in a hotel not owned by disney but there are so many really nice resorts out there. I've especially never understood the debate about the Swalphin- it may technically be off property but it's as on property as you can get...

Whew! I'm exhausted just reading about all you achieved. We aren't morning people. in any way, shape, or form. seeing how much fun you're having makes me sort of miss getting up before dawn. sort of. Anyway, what a terrific trip report! I love the barber chair pic and climbing Ariel's wall. IMO the tablecloth was a stroke of genius - useful in so many ways... :thumbsup1:

If you like the disney Dooney & Bourke bags, check out this page periodically. It's gone from sold out to available back & forth repeatedly over the past week but, if you manage to grab one while they're in stock, it comes out to around $76 shipped... http://www.disneystore.com/disney/store/DSIProductDisplay?isSingleMatch=true&catalogId=10002&langId=-1&productId=1264553&catalogFromSearch=10002&storeId=10051&N=1000291

What being a Fiend is ALL ABOUT
rdancemom... Pam replied to LORNADUCK's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I have been blessed by the kindness & friendship of fiends in so many ways, both big & small. I started listing them and then realized there are just too many awesome fiend encounters to fit on this page. These are all people I'd never met 3 years ago - and some I still haven't met in person - but now can't imagine life without. Sometimes you hear or see more than you expected (don't look now, but there's more than one full moon whenever Bill's in town :rofl2: ) still it's always a good time full of exceptionally nice people I am so proud to call my FrIENDS. :heartsmiley: I know there
