  1. In looking through my old pictures I found this one from 2005 at the East entrance: As compared to 8 years later at the South Entrance:
  2. Yep, I am a quiet person so I got this report out of the way quickly. It is also a result of leaving the good SLR camera at home so the pictures to choose from are limited. There was a lot more to the trip but I would rather not bore everyone with the small details.
  3. More Grand and Beautiful in person! It wasn't too short, it was about all we could endure. It is a lot of walking to see the sites at Yellowstone. I agree, everyone should be fortunate enough to visit at least once in a lifetime! You owe it to yourself and your family to go at least once. If you ever do go though, be prepared to return.
  4. Thanks and I would leave tomorrow to do it again if I could and I could talk the family into it. Thankfully there were ZERO Black tank issues!!!!! You have to go!!!!! Just Do It! Exactly! It is too easy to take Beautiful pictures when you are taking them of Mother Natures Pallet!
  5. Sorry, this is all to report. Double Bow was COOL. And then some! Shush!!!!!
  6. Take one over sized truck camper, four people, two dogs, confine them together for 9 days and what do you get? A LOT of Grief, a lot of FUN, Some Beautiful sites, some damage, short tempers, and overall a momentous trip. This trip was two years in the planning. It was supposed to take place last summer but just at the start of Summer dear daughter messed up her knee requiring surgery and 6 months of physical therapy. I am glad to report that other than the scars, she is in great health now. I want to stress that I may be stretching the truth on the planning part. There was zero planning oth
  7. Shoe Tree is the first thing that popped into my mind after seeing the above picture!
  8. The rail that you are seeing in the top left photo is the retaining wall for the walkway going over from Castle Couture to Liberty Square.
  9. After further review of the aerial maps, there is a very large gate blocking the entrance to this beach.
  10. I think they are in the area of the Swamp Trail on the East side of the Canal looking to the North West. Somewhere close to where the old cabin is sitting.
  11. On Google Maps it is called "Bay CT". It turns South off of Reams Road.
  12. The angle matches the Contemporary. It is a bit grown up now.
  13. that does not look right for Discovery Island. The Contemporary is perpendicular to Discovery Island. In the picture you can see the north Mono Rail opening at an angle. That puts this picture on the north shore of Bay Lake to the east of the Service Canal.
  14. How can it be Michigan Animals if you have a Californian in the mix?
  15. Thanksgiving 2010 they gave me a site directly across from Larry. Since I have such a large truck I try to scout out the site before driving to it. When I saw who was across from our assignment, I went back up front and told them I needed a different site. They moved us down the loop about 10 sites. I don't think I could have got in the original site anyway but I wasn't even going to try because of who was directly across.
  16. I think Disney should build a loading ramp in the area of the hitching/unhitching turn outs for this purpose. Wouldn't help me much. I put on a show every time I load and unload the GC. Lou even stopped to watch once. I guess people or just waiting to see a disaster. It takes two sets of ramps to get high enough for the side of the Pete.
  17. If I recall correctly, the red cards have to be initialized by holding in front of a reader at the start of the line. They use the same technology that office buildings use to log employees in and out. I have witnessed CM's initialize a card and then hold it for at least 5 minutes before handing it to a patron. This is manipulating the wait time. I have also seen CM's receive them at the check point and hold them for several minutes before passing them over the reader to record the time. If this happens at the front and back end then there is 5-10 minutes inflated on the wait time right there.
  18. I was told by a Bus Driver that the lost children were taken to MK, their feet glued to the floor in It's a Small World, and forced to sing that mind numbing song forever.
  19. Nope, they translated it correctly. Vtec is a Honda engine. Notice it is on a Honda car.
  20. That is a very nice little campground. We made a stop there on our way home from Washington DC June of 2008. Very good on the short and sweet trip report.
  21. We have Confederate Jasmine growing or attempting to grow up the columns on our porch.
