It is too bad this got so blown out of proportion. While I did see what many of the posters were suspecting, I still don't think it was fair to make assumptions about your intents or the reason you joined. Only you know that. I feel very badly about some of the harsh comments that were made.
I haven't been around long enough to have seen what some of the regulars here have witnessed as far as "trolls", "spies", or others who seem to enjoy stirring things up or causing problems for businesses. So when I read your post I just thought you had experienced something negative and were throwing an FYI out for everyone. You were steamed, and reacted. I do it all the time. As many other people probably do, but may not admit it or even recognize it.
I honestly still don't think you signed on to try and single handedly destroy Tee Time's reputation. And, as a regular customer of his, even reading your original post didn't make me think twice. I would call him tomorrow to rent. Just figured it was some kind of misunderstanding. I thought you were just giving a heads up and trying to be helpful. I never read his cancellation policy before renting either. Guess I am a big dummy too, don't do my homework. People should really think twice before they type sometimes.
I know you said you were leaving, and I completely understand. That is a shame. But, if you're still stopping in, know you had one person who looked at it with an open mind. This sure did get way out of hand, fast. Must have touched a nerve. I wish that instead of being accused, that maybe you had just been asked to explain yourself further. Scratching my head over this whole thing.

Okay Mo i just played with it real quick to figure it out for you. if you click on an individual photo in your photostream there is an option to share at the top.
Once you click on that you will see an option to grab the html/bbc code.
If you click on that there is a whole bunch of code in that window. If you grab the link that starts and end with img and paste it here you get this.

Of course your picture will be a different one. Unless you have a picture of my wife at Yellowstone. In which case that is just weird and needs explanation.

Not sure if you all have taken the "Thumbs up for Lane" picture yet, but wanted to encourage you to if you had not. One of the things that seems to help the families who have been through a loss is seeing others remember that person. A simple gesture like the picture will mean so much to the family.

I think it's a little warmer over here where I am.
But, I prefer this weather to the 90's we have had on some previous Halloween stays at the Fort.

OK....I'm the relatively newbie that got my butt handed to me on a platter because all the Dick Tracy's out there on this "public" forum "felt" like my 1st post was a scam also. It was not !! In fact, my EZ GO cart is still for sale ! The format of the "introduction" post is well hidden in a general topic title. I needed the link to find it! Thank you again Katman. I see others struggle with this also. And many get scolded for not introducing themselves 1st, as I received a lashing!
Wonder what scam "feels" like..... If you get that "scam" on you shoes, can you get it off? Or is it simply the feeling of various magnitudes of hypocritical pixie dust?
Here's what I will add to this gossip, that, by the way, eventually ruins good forum boards. Nobody was on the alledged original phone call except the OP, and presumably Kenny. Therefore no body knows what was said or agreed to between them. If you don't believe the OP, then dis-regard his information. NO ONE can ever, under any circumstances (unless the call was recorded) verify, nor deny what was said....
But now let's flip the coin for one second, only if you can imagine....... The lack of professionalism for Kenny to discuss a charge to ones' personal credit card, and the fact of refund information given to a third person that was not party to the original transaction is not only poor business practice, it is in viloation of the credit card merchants agreement contract, and against the law under the federal privacy act II. He not only did this with one "Dick Tracy" on this board that felt so compelled to prove a theory, he has done it with 2 different folks that we now know of. And the funny thing is, they both admit they called Kenny and asked this information openly and without shame. What do you figure is being said and done behind YOUR back?? Just ponder that thought for a moment if you will !! I would suggest any prudent person would see all the possibilties.......
NOW....If anyone needs a cart and does not want to risk a cancellation charge, or not.......mine is still for sale !!!! LOL
Have I worn out my welcome yet

Shawn, no need to leave the site. If you wish to participate we would love to have you. Several members on the board have small businesses, they know that word of mouth is crucial to their business. We have had many trolls or single time posters come in and try to start things. I appreciate you coming back and clearing up the situation.
I think you will find that the people that felt were questioning/insulting are really good people. They may be a little jaded by previous experience. They question new members motives when they come in complaining about something. Unfortunately it has happened before here. We try to get to know each other here, and as such this board is sort of like family (yeah even a little disfunctional at times). This board isn't for everyone but anyone is welcome to come join and participate. We aren't all touchy feely here. Yes your motive were questioned. Yes several thought that you were going to be a one post complaining troll. But now that you have shown yourself not to be, stick around, you might just like it here. Understand I would say about 50% of the members here have done business with Kenny (maybe more). Not that Kenny is perfect, no business is, but he tends to try to do the right thing and make it right by his customers from what I have heard.

Just a couple more thoughts on this last report:
that Tshirt is pretty ironic - the same could be said for the fine residents of Tally, or any city in the Northern half of FL (mine included)
why does the sign in the bar say "To Go's are To Go?" Is that supposed to be philosophical?
I vote real hair, although it sure does look like a rug. Love how you faked taking a picture of your daughter.
speaking of your daughter, she has a beautiful smile! I imagine there is an orthodontist somewhere driving a pretty sweet car thanks to that smile?
implant mom clearly has Daddy issues if she's falling all over men twice her age……poor girl.

    I love your NCAA TR's!!!
    This cracked me up:

    Obviously a serious journalist.
I know this is going to sound terribly sexist, but I for one am over the token blondes the sports networks have on the sidelines, in the pits, or wherever. I certainly don't take them seriously, and honestly don't believe that most men really even pay much attention to them. If they're placed there for the sake of political correctness/equal opportunity, then put a regular girl with a normal body, not a Barbie doll. If they're placed there to appeal to men, they're wasting their money on that salary. All they need to do to insert a little spice into a broadcast is pan over the crowd like you did and zoom in on drunk implant mom for free.

I could come back with a snappy comeback and say why stop at the last 8 games, and look back to 1990 and count how many W's you have against Florida, but I won't (and you probably don't want to look at that).
This is a friendly thread on a friendly board.
You and I both like college football and Fort Wilderness, so we have too much in common to start a UF/UG debate.
The season is just beginning. From what I've seen, y'all have a very good team this year, and a very nice schedule. This could be your year. Our teams will play their games, and the results will speak for themselves.

I grew up near lots of cliffs and natural waterfalls/springs. There was a spot we used to go to and jump off into water that was easily 15-20' below. We referred to that cliff as the enema!! Had to be very, very careful about which bathing suit to wear when we went!

Those pipes look like barriers to keep canoes/kayaks from the Fort away from the Disney elite who will be paying big bucks to enjoy the wilderness Disney offers those who can pay. Not a very effective barrier, since a simple portage will put you on the other side. Merely an annoyance. I am thinking after the hotel is open I may be able to entertain guests with a little nekked alligator wrasslin in that thar pond they be buildin.

AC: aw, shucks! Thank you, I believe that is my very first "up arrow". I feel more like a real fiend!
TJ: I meant no disrespect to tent campers who have the ingenuity to hook up some AC. And that is coming from a former tenter who suffered thru many hot and cold nights. I am very, very fond of Spanish Moss Lane, and if we hadn't upgraded from pup to TT last year, that is where you would still find me every visit. What chaps my a** are those who really streeeeeetch the limit on # of persons per site. My apologies!

I have spoken to her a couple of times at Christmas, as we always visit her site and my kids sit and watch her movies. Last I knew she was a CM. Drove by again in April but didn't stop to chat, yes she has a lot of decorations out but nothing I thought seemed unsightly, cluttered perhaps but not trashy. Her 5th wheel is just gorgeous and her Christmas displays are one of my favorite parts of visiting in Dec.
I have seen far worse at other CG's with permanent residents. Compare hers to some of the visitors in the 2000 loop with 18 people on a site and tents out in the middle of the loop with window units on milk crates sticking out and it doesn't seem so bad!
I've also wondered how folks who stay so long can afford it. Even with the discount, that's a chunk of change!
Is the gentleman someone mentioned in the 400 loop the one who looks like Santa?

Spent Mother's Day at this CG. My mom was staying here while she volunteered at the Player's Championship last week. Overall, the best part about this place is the location. Across the street from the beach, and at the back of the CG is the intracoastal with a boat ramp. It's very sandy/dirty, and the amenities are very dated, but maintained. Lots of pull-thrus, full hookups in most of the sites.
Many of these were taken with my phone, and it was an overcast day so photo quality is not the best, and I didn't take the time to enhance them.
    Here is the entrance/store/office:

    Beach access right across A1A:

    Some of the roadways:

This thing is smack in the middle of the CG. Couldn't figure out what it was. Later when we were walking to dinner I saw the backside of it and it is some kind of electrical substation or something. Didn't get a photo of that.

Some site photos, with and without units on them.
    Pull-thrus:

    these are back-ins:

Bathhouse/laundry. I am not some weirdo who likes photographing toilets, but bathrooms are very important to the tent/pop-up folks, so this is for them!

like I said, dated, but clean enough and air conditioned.
The CG has a pool, shuffleboard and what appeared to once be a bocce area. There is also a rec room with pool table and games. I only got photos of the pool:

There is a restaurant at the back of the CG that you can walk to for dinner or drinks at the outdoor bar. We enjoyed the atmosphere very much, however the service and food, not so much. Then again, it was mother's day so they were packed. My husband did like his meal, and he's the only one who ordered seafood so I guess it's a good place for that, but then places right on the water usually are. And they did comp one drink because our food took so long. Also back here is a county boat launch, and docks for boaters to pull up and come to the restaurant. Beautiful sunsets back here.

That heron has a fish in it's beak. We saw him catch it in the water, drag it up the rocks, stab at it til it was dead, and swallow it whole. Very cool to watch, just not right before eating dinner!!
That's it! I did notice several golf carts, and folks with both a camper and boat on their site. Sites are plenty wide, though some have a good tree canopy which could be an issue for big rigs and high profile 5'ers. There is dense vegetation between a lot of sites, good privacy, but also some sites open to one another which is nice when you're traveling with a group. I believe Mom paid around 60 bucks per night for her site. The CG is technically in Vilano Beach, but just over the intracoastal from St. Augustine so not far at all. There's a brand new Publix just down the road, and lots of restaurants up and down A1A. Ponte Vedra is about 20 min. north of here.
