  1. We need to seal the seam where the awning is attached to the metal guard. We also have 2 holes, about 1/2 inch in diameter. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
  2. Our high school has a drive your tractor day during homecoming week. The kids love it!!!
  3. Where would you put the car seat that is rear facing? It seams that motorhomes are in a classification all their own, without any guidelines.
  4. My daughter and son in law are going to Disneyland next week with their 2 year old and 9 month old. They would like suggestions on where to eat with kids for lunch or dinner. She knows about The Fiends and was hoping someone would have the information. Thanks
  5. We sold our 81 pace arrow and bought a 94 Newmar Kountry Star diesel. My DH absolutely loves it. We got it for a great price, but have replaced the floor, table and chairs with a dinette, sofa, barrel chair, driver chair, passenger chair, kitchen countertop and sink, cooktop, toilet, and mattress. I think that's it. We do all of the work ourselves. However, because of the work that needed to be done, we got the unit for about $30,000 under blue book value. We love our Newmar. Also, Newmar has fantastic customer service. We have asked many, many questions and have always gotten a quick respons
  6. My DH and I are taking my Mom and Dad to The Fort on August 8. We will be there until August 17. My Dad is undergoing chemo, considered palliative, so it's really important that they have a great time. Mom and Dad took us on many trips to The Fort, so now it's our turn to take them. So, Fiends, feel free to stop by. We will be in a full hook up site and hopefully in the 1700 loop. Need to get my sign now!!!!!!
  7. Disney definitely made a bad decision this time. Apparently their marketing department needs to go back to school!!!!!!!
  8. I'm looking for information for renting a power scooter for my Dad. We would like to have one with a canopy over it. Dad's chemo makes him sun sensitive and we are planning a trip for sometime in July or August.
  9. We always do the on line check in. It definitely saves alot of time and our site has always been ready. Hope this helps.
  10. When the Fort first opened you could rent a camper. That's what my family did. This was before the cabins were built.
  11. I'll talk to my daughter and son in law and see if they have any pictures. Thanks
  12. My son in law's grandfather was a Navajo code talker during World War II. My son in law is now a Marine. We are very proud of him.
  13. Welcome!!! I prefer the full hook up sites as well. The 1700 loop to be exact. We also travel with our dogs, Tigger (maltipoo), and Tinkerbell (schnoodle). Our daughter, son in law, granddaughter and grandson usually travel with us too. We use our bikes, walk, or use the buses. From the 1700 loop it is approximately 1/2 mile to the outpost and the marina. So, it's pretty centerally located. The dog park is only a short walk as well. Enjoy your stay at the Fort!!
  14. We stay in a full hook up look with AAA discount. Eat our main meal in the middle of the day at the MH Take sandwiches, snacks, etc into the park with us to eat at dinner time. DH didn't like this concept at first, but last trip we traveled with daughter, son in law, and 15 month old granddaughter. He got on board when everyone else was. It worked great. He was surprised to see so many people doing the same thing. We also buy the AP and get 2 vacations out of it. Last time we got 3 trips. Son in law is an active duty Marine so we also buy our tickets at SOG. We stay for 2 weeks
  15. I think it looks awesome. I use my R2D2 for clothespins that we keep in the MH and the mickey ghost is on display in a bedroom. The other containers make great holders for my granddaughters crayons, markers, etc.
  16. We only do the park hopper at Christmas. I like to see the HS lights alot. Otherwise, we just do a park a day. However, we choose the park based on the evening extra magic hours. I also didn't know there were buses that went between parks. That information would have save us alot of time when we do park hop.
