  1. I looked into using points for camping and cabins. It was more expensive because you can generally get a discount and there is NO discount for DVC points at the Fort. It would have cost me several hundred more to use or rent points than paying cash. I'll stick with the discounts. I am about to sell my points, since we now live minutes away and I get to go to my favorite place (the fort) several times a week.
  2. Not sure how domesticated the squirrels are at the Fort but obviously they have no fear. Jody was sitting in her chair at the site and there were 3 of them watching her eat a bagel. One of them was so bold as to jump up on her shoulder and stare at her while she ate. She shoo'd him down but they hung around until she fed them and then she shoo'd them away. I sure wish I would have seen it! I would have probably pee'd my pants laughing! :rofl2:
  3. Well not exactly the first time, but the first time since we moved down here in September. We go to the Fort a lot but haven't stayed yet. We'll be staying on site with Jason (Thanks Jason!) in a partial, hopefully 1500.. Just look for Johnny Depp. Jason will be there until the 13th, we'll be there a few days or so. Look us up!
  4. Shhhh...you'll make Disney raise the prices again :rofl2: Thanks for the kind words. :bighug:

  9. We were at Hollywood Studios a couple of days ago and I asked about them and none of the CMs knew anything about them. 3 different stores.

  15. Never been when I went. Must be because I always had AAA discounts in the preferrred....lol. I see from the rate sheet that preferred is higher than full. Thanks, I learned something today!
  16. Welcome! Partial sites have allowed hybrids, BUT no sewer hook ups there. As far as grills, etc, they are there in all sites everywhere. The least expensive sites are preferred, then full hook up then premium. It might be good to have one of the travel agents book for you. It doesn't cost anything and any discounts out there, they will find for you. Makes it easy.
  17. Just thought I'd let everyone know my daughter has decided to do child care on site. So if you are looking to have a wild night out with your loved one or just a romantic evening, my daughter Holly will babysit your little ones on site, in your camper, RV or cabin. She can take the kids out to the parks, attend the nightly movie/campfire or just make sure they get into bed at a reasonable hour. She has over 10 years experience and is certified in CPR and first aid. Just get a hold of us at FortCamperRental.com by email, phone or on here and we'll get details and availability to you.
  18. I saw a child maybe 7 years old at best driving a cart the other day. The father was with her but she was definitely driving it.
  19. Had a case the other day when I was picking up a pop up and 3 little kids flew around me as I was leaving and almost swerved into my car. I didn't see them coming from behind as they were flying through and I wasn't. They were so close when they went around me I thought they may have hit me. So much for going slow. I have been followed very closely by kids on bikes too. If I had to stop, which I do, they would ram me from behind. The 1500 loop and 2000 are the worst for this.
  20. When I saw that set up I knew it would be party central. Way to go TJ!
  21. We recently took the wagon ride hoping to see some of the halloween decorations. They went out behind the 300 loop and then through the 500 loop and 1400 loop. Not the best loops for decorations. You came back through the other half of the 300 loop, again not the best for decorations. It was a lot through the back woods near the dam and along the waterway. At night there wasn't much to see. The last time we went, they stopped at the end of the beach and there was the music from the Fireworks piped in and we sat and watched the fireworks from the wagon. I was hoping for that again but as
