Not been a good day. The starter went out this evening on the van and tomorrow I have to pick up Loretta's pop up. Was wondering if anybody who may be at the Fort now would move the pop up into overflow till I get the van done tomorrow? Whatever you do, do not get your gas at the station nearest to the vineland ave. outlet mall. $5.99 a gallon last I saw. How they get away with that I don't know.

We stay in a campground at the Mile marker 55 on I 4. It's on the SW corner right past the KOA. We have a pool and there is a playground up front but it is mostly retired snowbirds. It's called ThemeWorld.

Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but when we drove from Iowa 1330 miles each way, we always did it in 2 full days or started in the evening the previous night to get some miles down, then took an easier 2 day drive after that. I have driven trailers and a motorhome this way several times. Yes, it's not always fun, but it gets us to Disney quicker and then you can rest or just enjoy things there. Disney is like the light at the end of the tunnel....lol. If you have never been there, you will enjoy it as much if not more than your kids. When people tell me Disney is for kids, I just laugh

Has everybody forgotten facebook and google? They track EVERYTHING you search and almost immediately you will recieve advertising directly related to your search habits. In fact recently two of my daughters spoke on the phone about a subject, neither had done anything on the net in regards to it but lo and behold, within 2 hours, emails and specific advertising showed up on the computers. Coincidence? Just watch the ads on the right side of Facebook and you'll see they match your searches and things you have been looking at online, WITHOUT having used Facebook. I'm not sure if it's the extreme cold that is hitting the country this week or what but it has been making people think about vacations to Florida. I have been running around crazy this morning with reservations! I think I'll keep the warmth here and the cold there.... :rofl2:

Yea about that whole running thing. Jody now is considering doing a 5k also, since you don't have to run the whole way. Guess who will have to join her in doing it???!!

With all the new Fiends lately, I wanted to give an update on this. Only 100 more LIKES needed of our Facebook site. It only took about 2 weeks to get over 300 of them. The first 500 people who like the page will be entered to win a 3 night stay at Fort Wilderness which includes the site cost and rental of one of our pop ups that sleep up to 8! I was there the 18th and 20th and will be there tomorrow too. We were also there the 8-11th camping with Jason. During most if not all of that week, BigTom was there too.

When I go looping, I come across several Fort Fiends.net signs and if I see someone outside I'll stop and introduce myself. OK, I've knocked on a few doors too....lol. It's amazing that when I do they perk up and are more welcoming than any group I have ever seen. During our first visit to Disney World back in 95, I had a Monte Cristo almost every meal.....lol. Does anybody know if any of the restaurants on the grounds still have them? I could sure use one again.
