  1. Right across from 1511 and 13 on the inside of the 1500 loop are a couple of very large sites. You can spread out pretty well with those.
  2. Pets in the 1500 loop is kinda odd as they do not allow pets in a pop up in a partial site BUT you can have them in a pop up in a full hook up or better site. I don't understand it but maybe it has something to do with tents and more noise can be heard in a tent or pop up, thus exciting the pet. Sometimes pets can do major damage to canvas. Imagine what a good sized dog could do to canvas held on with velcro. If a dog were to see a local wild (haha) animal, they might be on a mission. Not everyone keeps them kenneled in their RV.
  3. As far as pop ups go, earlier canvas that is not the vinyl outside may not have any holes in it but it can and will become brittle. That would mean replacing at the cost of about $1K. It takes about 2 hours to replace it. Colemans, pre 2003, had a fiberglass roof that became brittle and that is no fun either. I have seen air conditioners sinking down a couple of inches and being held up by a support beam. Look for lots of patching on the roof for that. There are a lot of those out there for sale....lol. If you get it cheap enough and don't mind replacing the roof, then go for it. As som
  4. Chances are using a TA you will get your dates but if you don't, you can try Theme World RV park , where we live. It is at exit 55 on I4. 7 miles west of the Disney exit. Reasonably priced and a nice park. Mostly snowbirds, but not age limited. It's next to the Summit KOA. Good luck and :insanity:
  5. I have found the best thing to do is request that loop, then IF they have it available, they will give it to you. You may have to wait a while if you get there early or if a group comes in, that may lessen your chances. The 1500 loop is more often requested of the 2 partial loops and there are only 20 sites in that loop as opposed to the 2000 loop, which has 69 sites. They kind of hold back the low numbered sites because some people do not like being near the bus stop, so tell them you would even accept one of those. In most cases, they try to honor it. I would estimate success at better
  6. Wow! Saw the pictures of the car. Only half of it there. It's really squashed right up to the back of the front seat. The name of the person who died matches a name of a CM. Prayers for all involved and their families.
  7. Yes, the quality of the new Rockwoods leave something to be desired. Everything is made more for looks than durability. I have to fix little things more on the new one than the older ones.
  8. I hope the bratwurst on the pretzel bun is fresh this year. Someone wrote a review on it and I hoped it would be fresher but alas it wasn't. I love pretzel buns.
  9. The best time to buy is at the end of the month. The sales people get hungry and they need to meet goals.
  10. Most toilets in a pop up are cassette toilets. Most people that have them never use them. Are you looking new or used? I didn't see that you mentioned that. Weights of a pop up can get high quick. All of mine are over 3000 pounds. The most recent having a GVW of 3500 pounds. Anything over 1000 pounds you would do well to have brakes on. (which is almost all of them) If buying used, there are a lot of things to look at...flooring, canvas, appliances, even a rusty frame. That's just the start. Bad news is...new pop ups are now made so cheap that you may not like the quality on those e
  11. Thanks. I tried putting them in but kept getting an error. We took him to the vet and he is quite healthy other than the blue cataract type haze over the eyes. He is about 6 or 7 years old. He seems pretty happy here.
  12. After exhausting avenues trying to find an owner, we have decided to keep him and help him through his twilight years. Hope somebody does that for me someday....lol.
  13. A dog was found in our area that someone obviously just left him. Cannot find the owner. He has some issues. Cataracts in both eyes, nearly deaf and doesn't get along all that well. Very slowly. We don't know anything else about him but don't want to get into a situation of huge vet bills and we don't know how long he will last. Although we don't want to send him to animal control, would it be better for him? Options?
  14. I have noticed quite a few more UTVs lately. I thought it was weird. They are everywhere. I also saw 8 people on a 4 person cart today. Sitting all over each other. I was surprised it even moved.
  15. 1516 is a good site. We have set up pop ups twice in the past month in that one. Have a great time!
