  3. sounds neat... but, my grill is out of commission right now. waiting for new parts to come.
  4. i think it's a great idea. but, i use a really small one in the camper and know it would not be pretty if something didn't keep it in place. lol
  5. a lot of people use theirs while they travel. i was google searching and even came across people that used them while driving in their cars. never would of thought to do that. but, one said with the kids - they were able to pull over and have a meal.
  6. i found a couple things on line. one said to use the sticky shelf stuff under the cooker and a pc of tape on the cover...
  7. so-how do you keep a slow cooker from moving around in the sink while you are traveling? i haven't been able to figure this one out-i haven't tried it, yet. but, i am assuming my lil' cooker will move around quite a bit while traveling and would like it to sit kinda still. so-what do you do?
  8. yup-any diet soda. want chocolate cake with a little cherry flavor--use diet cherry coke/pepsi. white soda for a white cake, though.. :)
  9. very cool.. we have seen a carrier-docked but couldn't go on it. it would be really neat to be able to go on a tour of one. thanks for the pics!
  10. i am sooo in! can't wait-will you guys start this tr already! :jumpforjoy
  11. not a recipe but, i just heard that if you stick a thumb print in the middle of your burger-you will reduce shrinkage when you cook it. come on all of you grillers--tell us what you think. will this help?
  12. praying everyone is okay... but-yeah, how can you expect us to believe you without pics??? :rofl3: when at the fort a camera should be on you at all times.. j/k
  13. a bump - but also need to add.. i don't know if i would totally say to stay away from this place but, make sure you know what you are looking at. kennedale campers in the dallas, tx area. we went down to look at a camper-used and in mint condition. this wasn't "mint". they knew the folks that traded it in and said they never lived in it. well-they might not have but there's no doubt the previous ones did. all the corners of the furniture were smooshed down-from what? being sat on constantly.. the cabinets didn't stay open-why? from being opened and closed all the time. th
  14. Just thought this should be bumped -- for those looking to purchase a camper check out some of the recommended dealers..
  15. another tr.. great! i'm in. glad you were able to tape the tent pole and make it through the weekend. can't wait for more...
  16. Thanks for sharing your trip. Looks like it was a wonderful time. Thanks to you guys all going on this first trip of the year--we started re-loading the camper to get it ready for the season. We still have a few piles of snow here and just can't think about heading out yet. Unless we would go south--really far south. lol great pics-sorry to hear your son got sick. But, at least at was at the end and not beginning of the gg. Hope it didn't last long..
  17. Tell her not to be afraid to drive it. I drove ours all the time. You just have to be the best co-pilot ever! Let her know when to change lanes, etc.. We had a 20' trailer we pulled with our car and gc on it and I didn't have any issues driving it. It isn't that bad. 29' or 33' isn't going to make a difference. Although, we did do some upgrades to our suspension which helped a lot in the handling.
  18. we had a jayco seneca-super c. loved it. sold it for a great price so we had to move on. then we kinda regretted selling it. but, it was a great rig. grumpy and grandma still have theirs and feel the same way we do about it. it is a great rv, not bad priced and we didn't have any real problems.
