  1. I was lucky enough to ride a few times when not only the eagle was flying, but the Yeti actually moved - not Disco Yeti like now!
  2. My son would kill me if I didn't mention his company's attraction, The Sum of All Thrills. It's at innoventions, sponsored by Raytheon, and you design one of three types of courses, then get on a motion simulator and ride what you designed. The motion simulators are more open air than the ones at Disneyquest, and are mounted on the robotic arms many auto manufacturers use. It's more for older kids, but I have seen a number of little kids that liked it, too.
  3. When my kids were young, Epcot was their favorite park. If Kim Possible adventure had been there at that time, we never would have gotten them to leave.
  4. Ireally don't know too much about what you used, but did you prep the roof first? Most of the stuff you put on a rubber roof requires it to be absolutely clean prior to application, or it will just stick to the dirt and come right off.
  5. Bobby says if you bring your camper, you better leave it in the lot. He will make a ton more money building a hotel and selling DVC memberships to wannabes who will buy into a FW DVC resort and then call themselves "campers." Plus, he says he won't waste any more lakefront property on trailer trash.
  6. I agree with Deb. You can't really go wrong with 1600,1700 or 1800. 1900 was not so great when we were there - each campsite was like a little penninsula - surrounded by water on three sides. We like the 1800 loop - sites seem larger and it's a little more secluded than the 1600 or 1700.
  7. Probably doesn't look the same but I bet it's unique! I think I'll try one with a clean sock.
  8. This seemed kind of involved to me, so I made one with an old sock and a glue gun. Doesn't quite look the same, though.
  9. I remember seeing pics of some really nice kitchen cabinets you did, John.
  10. That is a pretty cool looking lamp. Maybe I'll show the wife and she will motivate me.
  11. I used to do a fair amount of woodworking before we moved into this house. We moved here 16 years ago and my woodshop still isn't set up, other than my radial arm saw and bandsaw which I needed for some remodelling projects. My dad was really into it. After he died, I brought home a lot of his stuff from his shop, but it is still in boxes in mine. Maybe in 6 years when I plan on semi-retiring I will get around to it. My son is trying to get me interested in helping him build a bar. So far, just in the planning stages.
  12. The interiors look HUGE! I would buy one of the things for the big bathroom alone, and I don't need it.
  13. I saw a piece in the latest Trailer Life about this company. Their link was incorrect, but I have located the correct one. I can't believe that with all of the physically disabled people who like to camp there are, a company hasn't tapped into this market yet. Here you go, kids: http://www.harborview.mobilitycamper.com/
  14. We stayed there for the first time last September. Nice campground, especially for an overnight stop, and very reasonable price.
  15. Oops - if you haven't been banned yet, you will be soon. There be a mole among us, matey.
  16. I fell compelled to add FWGuy's variation, which is cut the strawberry daiquiri mix down to 1/4 cup. 1 cup was just too sweet for me, and it also makes the recipe easier to remember.
  17. "So, where are you folks going today? It's a little cool and rainy now, but it should clear up and get warmer this afternoon." That was my best Ken imitation.
  18. They most always serve a seasonal beer in Germany, both inside and out. You are seriously missing out if you don't try whatever it is. I also like Kirin beer over in Japan. It's a light lager, but still very tastey, and there's a nice, secluded outdoor area to enjoy it in. I never have any of the beers I can buy locally.
  19. Do we send you the deposit check? or do you require full payment? Cash only. I don't trust anyone since that nice lawyer from Nigeria contacted me about my long lost uncle's untimely demise in a traffic accident, leaving me, his only heir, his entire fortune. I am still waiting for that deposit to go through. And where all the money went that was in my account, I'll never know.
  20. I found Boat n RV to be high pressure. They also like to pass off used units as new. I would never buy from them, and I have a cousin who works for them in SC and told me she could get me an amazing deal if I drove down there.
  21. Bobby says they had some leaks in the supply lines for the beer taps on every site. Things should be back up and running in no time.
