  1. Those are the only places I can think of that would feature fresh produce. But these could be props, I guess. Corn is a New-World crop, so it only makes sense on Main Street, Liberty Square and Frontierland... well that's half the park, that's not much help! The faux stone in the background looks old (i.e. not as well done as modern faux stone), so I expect this is an older area of the park. I got nothing.
  2. Very funny. And we have two Norms posting on this thread. Exactly my point, if he doesn't start building and protecting his brand that other Norm might swoop in and start using his best stuff! Businesses are built on products, empires are built on brands, and legacies upon the success or ruination of those brands... leave a legacy (and no, I don't mean get your face engraved on a "tombstone" in front of DJD at Epcot!) (and no, this is not a drunk-post! It's 9am on a Weds for crying out loud!) LOL
  3. I voted for the most graphically pleasing one, but wonder how effective a tent-centric logo will appeal to RV campers. Also, I find the tag line cumbersome, too wordy; think about the most effective tag lines out there: Just Do It, I'm Lovin' It, It Just Works. I'd shorten yours to "Scout the Best Sites" or "Your Perfect Site" (I like the double-entendre there). Finally, it seems like a big part of what you're wanting to do would be reinventing the wheel; there are a lot of campground finders out there, and you're going to have to replicate their work and then add your site-rating aspect. I wo
  4. I may need to do a welding project on my TandemTow: a rack for the front that holds a spare tire and the poop-wagon.
  5. Wow, I thought that would be a real stumper! Ok, someone else's turn, I wanna play!
  6. Yep! These must be air-balls! Ok, here is a little tougher one:
  7. We bought a "hook" for ours that we used to hang it off of our ladder on the travel trailer, but now that we have the highfalutin diesel pusher the wife won't allow me to strap it on the back (?!). I wish that I'd have never used it for black, it never really seems to get quite clean now, and the only place I have to store it is in a basement (or in the wife's hatchback!).
  8. I have a 27-gallon Thetford, affectionately known as the poop-wagon. It hooks to the hitch, but you've gotta drive SLOW. Has a gauge to let you know it's time to close the valve. Think about where you're going to stow it, they're big.
  9. Maybe this is cheating since this scene no longer exists, but that should be a pretty big hint in and of itself!
  10. Are we past post #10? Oh good. On our last trip I decided I wanted to really try my hand at some good photography in the parks, like I did as a teen. I knew I would need a tripod since I like nighttime, long exposure shots. Disney has a very specific rule about the maximum size tripod they will allow, I think it's 18" when folded. So I researched and found the most sturdy tripod available that is as big as possible when extended and folds to 18". Spent a small fortune on it. Then I get to the park and there are MANY folks walking around with tripods half-again the size of mine (and much cheape
  11. We have been looking at auto-generator-start controllers for just this reason. Anytime it senses a call for more power than is available (i.e. shore power is absent) it will start the generator. This means that if you are dry-camping and the batteries run low, it'll kick on and recharge them. And if in a CG and the power is interrupted and there is a call for AC it kicks on and when power is restored it'll shut off. Might be $800 well-spent (yes, it hurt a little to type that!).
  12. Thanks to TCD for this whole trip-report/cautionary-tale thing. I would be livid — literally epic, legendary stuff that French bards would sing of for generations — if I had paid that much and received that little. If DLP was an hour from home and cost half as much I wouldn't go. I'll never complain about the crappy Mac&Cheese at Trail's End again!
  13. Norm, you need to reconsider the term from a branding standpoint. I suggest "Complete NormsenseTM"
  14. I'm not crazy about the narrow parking plaza, but the magic-factor usually wins out. Just stay in the rightmost open lane.
  15. Gas stops were a killer with our TT, seemed like we were stopping constantly. And of course every stop meant bathroom breaks, and quick walk for the dogs, and... oh, you get the idea! The motorhome has a 150 gallon tank so we should be able to do the round-trip on one fill! That'll be nice.
  16. We use TiVo to dvr ota shows, we are in good coverage area. Works great, barely miss satellite. I've tried Hulu, Amazon and Netflix, and would only consider returning to the latter. Sling.tv looks promising but they have technical and CS bugs to work out.
  17. And 499 days from June 22 is November 2! Perfect! Book your whole Halloween visit in one shot on the day online ressies become available for 2016.
