  1. ...and bake they will in the summer in Texas. I had a cement pad added beside the driveway behind two large arborvitae. The camper gets morning sun but is in the shade from early afternoon on. I tried closing it up (it's a hard-sided popup) and covering it with a tarp during hail season but water got trapped between the camper and the tarp. I only cover it now if a big hail storm is imminent.
  2. This link says: "Gringotts Money Exchange will allow Muggle dollars (real cash) to be swapped for Universal’s new Wizarding Bank Notes – their equivalent of Disney Dollars. These notes will be able to be used within both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade Village to buy snacks and merchandise." How many people are going to swap their money and then keep the Wizarding Bank Notes as a souvenir? Probably me.
  3. A lady died last year at the Six Flags over Texas on a coaster. She was overweight and the lap bar didn't hold when it went around a corner which sent her flying.
  4. We stayed in the 1500 loop. There was plenty of room on the coquina pad for our popup camper in addition to the Disney provided picnic table and grill. Bring a fan.
  5. I watched the ship that day on the various webcams. It's interesting to see the transit from the ship's point of view.
  6. I know where Haslet is! I drive through there to get to Cabela's. I stayed in the cabins in 2012. I was surprised at how well appointed they are. I'll try to find my pictures. Are you flying or driving? Later... I can't find the pictures I took. Sorry. If you are flying and not renting a golf cart, ask for a cabin near a bus stop. Our loop was quite long and our cabin has right in the middle. If we hadn't rented a golf cart, I wouldn't have appreciated the late night walks back to the cabin after a long day in the parks.
  7. I saw one of these tour buses in the Painted Dessert National Park: Seats in the front, small berths in the back. It had a porch on the opposite side that could be lowered with a kitchen. A lady I taked to said they took turns fixing meals. It would be important to like the people you are with.
  8. What's the deal with trailer tires blowing? I have friends with a camper that is continually blowing tires. They are within weight specs (according to the camper's manufacturer). They upgraded to higher rated tires. They've had it back to the manufacturer several times. They just drove from TX to IL and blew two tires along the way. They are ready to take it back to the manufacturer and leave it in their parking lot. Take care and be safe.
  9. I've been there! That's "The Eye". It's a very big permanent ferris wheel on The Thames River opposite Parliament. The first time I rode it was "Lord Mayor's Day" and we made reservations specifically to ride it during the fireworks. It was fantastic! Right behind Parliament is Westminster Abbey. A few blocks further is Buckingham Palace. Down river to the right is The Tower of London. Behind it is St Paul's Cathedral. You can see all of the major London sites from up there.
  10. My two cents... I replaced one tire because it had a nail too close to the edge to plug. The last time I had the tires rotated the new (with more tread) tire ended up on the front with one of the older tires causing the car to pull to the right. I had to have the newer tire moved to the back.
  11. What a good idea! Thanks for posting it.
  12. I had good luck with online check in when staying at The Fort. Not so much when staying at Pop Century and All Star Music.
  13. The only things I know about Cartagena i saw in "Romancing the Stone". I'll be interested to see what it's really like.
  14. I've been waiting on this TR. Yippee!! By the way... cute rental car. :bellringer:
  15. Thanks. My friend Joyce's son and family live in southern Pennsylvania and are considering taking the train. :)
  16. Hi Becker's Dad. Please tell us about the autotrain. :)
  17. And a key piece to the news flash: "Here’s the scoop! No floats here, a la Aloha Isle – the ultimate Dole Whip location. BUT you will have the option to spike your Dole Whip with alcohol (if you’re 21-or-over, of course)! Choices are the same as at the 2014 Flower & Garden Festival’s Pineapple Promenade booth: dark rum or coconut rum."

A "lawsuit" (we use the term lightly) has been filed against former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel seeking $25 million in damages for sexual harassment. The charges? Well, they're ridiculous and something that can't really be printed here becaue of the graphic mental images it produces. Click here to take a look at the suit, which says the allegatio
