  1. Who is Luke? Can't imagine that person (H.J) was there today... unless he was looking for people to recognize/look for him.
  2. Yeah... I thought the same thing, when I read the reviews. For us, we went with the one that wasn't (super) expensive and easy to locate (our local Walmart had one in stock). Then I brought it home and set it up, once I set it up I loved the size of it...so we kept it :) Personally I think most canopies would break with a decent wind gust; best you can do is try and watch them.
  3. :rofl3: My hubby would agree with you there...especially after setting up (which takes a while as we're still learning). Yay... I feel ahead of the curve, I've learned this after only (almost) 18 years :) Looks like a lot of fun! Excited to see how it goes!!
  4. We've actually had good luck, with standby at Chef Mickey's. You may wait 45 minutes, but there's a cute gift shop close by so...it's not horrible. My suggestion is get there early and see if you get lucky ps. :welcome2:
  5. Of canopy? This one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Coleman-12-x-12-Gazebo/23428071
  6. We try to watch for strong winds. I know that if it's going to be really windy, that we should lower the canopy as the supports can bend (even if it's staked down). That's the tough thing on these canopies. It would be a shame to spend a lot of money on something, only to have it break. We would be very sad if ours broke as at $150, it wasn't cheap. The other one we purchased was a lot more affordable (maybe $35 on sale?)...but it was just too small. Okay for two people and a couple of chairs or small table, but for a family of four who was trying to put a picnic table underneath and sti
  7. Maybe we can all join together in October...light some candles... and :'( Okay Disney...if you close the train again (yes, you're right G&G, it was closed when we were at the Fort in February), then you need to make sure that the People Mover is OPEN. My two year old walks around our home saying, "Magic Kingdom with YiaYia and Popo in October...ride the PM". So, open the ride!! Please!! :thank-you-smiley3:
  8. Hi! I don't have any help to offer (sorry!)...I'm usually the one asking "how do you do this?", but I wanted to jump in and say :welcome:
  9. A helicopter mom? I hate that term, because it implies something negative. You're a mom, a good mom. Period. I agree...that child should not have been on the ride by herself and as for her mother being in the car behind you...a child abductions takes only seconds. Let alone that (it sounds like) the ride scared her and she was only around strangers. You were wonderful to try and distract her. I agree, that ride can be a bit intense. There is no way that I would have let my young child ride by herself. Love your comment about the Fort being home... I think most (if not all) fiends fee
  10. Uh...the singing maybe? Princess diaries are sweet. I think what I liked about them both, is that if my daughter was 11 or 12...I'd have no problem with her watching the movie. And, even though I'm in my 40's, I too appreciate that type of innocence :)
  11. Yes, the same time of spray that you use to seal the seams on tents.
  12. I know.. the first 3 times, we drove our van so the gas was half the price (if that). Can't imagine that I'll get 5 trips out him next year...but I'm hoping for two (fingers crossed!). I'm from Washington State and my family is still back there. We've been in Atlanta for 11 years now and I hope to move us out West, in the next 2 to 3 years...so I keep reminding him that 1) our children really do love it (even the baby knows/understands WDW!) and 2) we won't always be taking these trips as we won't always live this "close". Hmmm...sounds like you may need to bring on some extra :hug
