Unless someone has a higher bid. Blake is paying me a pot of tortilla soup. (Blake, you probably didn't realize that, but I expect y'alls soup at the potluck).
haha...I will give Tish your order.

I am picking up Dave's site. If anybody wants 62 let me know.

Are we taking bets? I'm guessing... the "slow" season will be $225/night with topping out around $275/night.....
That's going to be a "that's a no from me, dog" for well north of $200 pricing. I love FW, but I don't love it $250 per night worth.

We like the 900 loop but I won't be paying extra to stay there. Something tells me that premium sites will be a lot easier to book, though

Me too. Thats my #1 fear. My old KZ was solid as a rock. If i paid this much for a bunch of problems I am going to be super pissed lol

Thanks y'all. We're doing our first real camping in it now. We're at our local park doing a shakedown run.
-
Thanks for all of the compliments. It's been a long road and a lot of sweat, blood, and plasma cutting in the making lol

Congratulations looks good with the truck. You will be back at the Fort soon. We bought ours in October of 2018, then made a January 2020 reservation for the Fort. Couldn't wait that long, we were there last month. I say your there by October. Enjoy
Be there in less than a month 👍

If I'm not careful I'll run over a few curbs
Can't wait to do some Fort camping in the new rig.

My wife made one that has a golf cart on it and the words "loopin' life" lol

Go take the test independently. Swift is probably like WDW they self test,. Lou was even unhappy about many of their drivers. I've been cut off many times by a WDW bus too.
YEP, just as I thought, they SELF train.
Become a Driver
Swift provides truck driving jobs with CDL training. Join the Swift ...Whatever they are doing isn't working well. And whoever administers their test and license should be fired.

It's not the driving it's the parking and backing. Unless they removed the obstacle course for the test, which I doubt, it's not that easy. How many people get 100 on a regular driving test then basically ignore all the rules once they hit the road?
Just search swift driver on youtube and watch the carnage. A lot of these new guys can't drive, back, or maneuver worth a crap. There's no way the test is hard now if guys can pass it and then pull idiot moves like that in the real world.

Definitely because too many people drive RV's when they can't even drive/park a car properly. I can be critical I had a CDL until I retired.
Judging by some of the Swift drivers and other fools I see on the road a CDL is no longer hard to get or a deciding factor on how you can drive or handle a long trailer.

Good thread hijack!
I usually set my cruise at 70 on the interstate if traffic, weather, and road conditions allow. I will occasionally hit 75 passing people. On 2 lane roads i will pretty much stick to 60 as a max. With the 450 I can hardly tell I am pulling anything.
-
I was just about to pass an 18 wheeler on Monday when the right rear of his trailer blew out. It sounded like a bomb. I felt the concussion through the wheel and pedals in my truck. We narrowly avoided being hit by the rubber chunks.

I am not impressed with the new Ranger at all, although I'm strangely impressed with the Canyon after seeing a couple in person at my last T@B rally. Even though I'm still in the Ford camp and will probably still get an F150 for my next tow vehicle.
Unless you just want a small truck I don't see how you could go wrong with a F150 ecoboost for towing. I know a few guys with them, and they all love the engine.

I blame people that rent campers. If you don't own it, take care of it, and tow it your self, you don't deserve to get to stay at the Fort. And a minimum requirement should be that you changed at least one blowout on the side of the interstate, the camping right of passage.
Hard to argue with that

That was probably my wife's post on FB. She was so pissed. This was our first time with them.

The Fort ain’t what it used to be...
That sux.
I don't blame the Fort. They did a good job this weekend. I blame society, and possibly some trashy people who now can afford a RV. It was probably some sh!thead kids that were being stupid. My wife's $1k trek bike was laying unlocked a few feet away and was untouched. This was our first problem with theft at any campground, and probably not the last unfortunately.
Hope you all got your APs before today!! 6/18
in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Posted
We have been so many times in the last few years that a park day now for us is a couple hrs in the morning and maybe a few in the afternoon. On our last trip we barely did that. The crowds and wait times just don't do it for me. We hit some FP's then roll out. I told my wife on our last trip that I would not care if we did not even go to a park. Of course, the kids don't feel the same way. I really enjoy Fort time and visiting the resorts and DS.
These price increases are really getting out of hand. A $225 increase in 1 year is outrageous. I think the Disney bean counters are just throwing things out there to see if they stick. Obviously, there are enough people willing to pay. By the time 2021 rolls around I bet AP's will be pushing $1700.
I am going to do AP's again next year, but after that I am not so sure. I have 2 girls that will be needing cars soon. For what we spend per year on Disney I can pay cash for 2 fairly nice rides.
