The next morning, we were awakened by our “wake-up call” from Baymax.  I put it on speakerphone so we could both enjoy it.  I think it was just too early for such things.  Pretty soon, we were on a bu

I was one of the 'kids' who loved to spin the tea cups, then age caught up with me.  RATS!

Even rides like spinning swings make my head not happy :(

And it was ALWAYS more fun to spin someone who didn't want to be spun or spin with another crazy spinner to see how fast you could get it going.  So spinning alone doesn't cut it.

It may be that later in the trip, Sarah met her match in the spinning dept.  You will have to keep reading to find out!

Wow. Y'all did a lot so far. And the day isn't over yet.

Great pix.

When we got in line, the wait time had said, I think, 20 minutes.  After just 3 or 4 minutes, people started walking back through the line saying the ride was down.  We joined the exodus, but then asked the CM by the entrance if the ride was truly down.  She checked and the ride was now fine, so we went back into the much shorter line.  Winning!

Next, Sarah wanted to get some pictures with King Triton.

As we finished those, a CM approached me and said, “Alright already!  If you want a pretzel so badly, stop whining!”  He handed me a free Mickey Head Pretzel!  Then, seeing Sarah, he gave two to her!  Winning!

There was a Photopass Photographer there.  I guess I should have finished chewing first.

Not sure of the order of some of these pictures from Sarah, so i will add them in here.

Someone asked me to take their picture in front of the castle.  Thank you so much, Sarah for taking my picture while I was doing that.  *sigh*

After that, we went on the Carousel of Progress.  Yes, I sang along.  Yes, I minded that that the last room had some “current” technology yet still had everyone dressed in eighties style.  But I will always love CoP.

Coming out, I saw people being helped off the PeopleMover.

At this point, we noticed that the line for meeting Cinderella and Rapunzel said only 20 minute wait.  We knew the 8yog at home would appreciate those autographs, so we got in the line.  20 minutes later, we were still in the same place in line.  The line to meet Anna and Elsa kept moving but our line was stuck.  We decided to bail.

It was time for our Mickey FP+!  We thought it was going to be Talking Mickey, but it wasn’t.  Still, any Mickey is better than no Mickey!  (I was surprised there was no Photopass photographer.  We did see two in the hallway as we exited.)

When we finished that, we went over to Guest relations to drop off Sarah’s phone to be charged.  I thought I had read that you didn’t need to provide a charging cord, but I was glad I brought mine as they did need it.

While there, we booked our 6th FP+ to meet Ariel in her Grotto.  Winning!

Once we met Ariel, she went on and on about how she had seen Sarah at the parade and how great she looked.  She oohed and aahed over the necklace Sarah had made to go with her outifit.  It even had a dinglehopper!

It was nearly time for Celebrate the Magic.  We found a place on the bridge between TomorrowLand and the Hub.  By this time, I wanted dinner.  I also wanted to be sure to get our backpacks before the park closed so I could get our deposit back.  I was directed to take the path behind Main Street on the Tommorow Land side.  I was able to take this both ways which got me back to Sarah sooner.

Note:  If you rent a locker, put the receipt in the locker!  You need this receipt to get your deposit back.  Fortunately, the CM took pity on me and creditted it back to my Magic Band.

We had our dinner there on the bridge and then watched the fireworks from there.  I could see the fireworks better without the castle in the way, but it wasn’t as magical.  Sorry, no photos.

From there, we head back to FantasyLand to see what the wait was for Mine Train.  I wanted to ride it at night, but the line was still too long.

We wandered over to FrontierLand to find a place to watch the later showing of the Main Street Electrical Parade.  We were looking around in the Frontier Merchantile when I realized that I really just wanted to sit down.  I asked some cast members near the exit if there were any benches around.  They said, “No” and I nearly cried.  Then they asked if a rocking chair would do.  Winning!

I took this video sitting there on the porch of Frontier Merchantile in a rocking chair.  You can't see much, but just enjoyt he music.

The only disappointment was during the parade itself.  There was a family standing across the street from us.  Mother, father, and two teenager girls.  It seemed all the cast members in the parade knew them, as they all went over to say Hi to them as they went past.  I had stood up and gone over to the rope to watch the parade but all I saw as the parade went past me were the backs of the cast members heads. 

Still, we had seen the parade, which wasn’t originally scheduled for that night.  I figured the girls might be in the DCP and that was why they knew everyone.  I had still had a wonderful day in the Magic Kingdom, and still had 4 more full days at Disney World to enjoy!

On the way out, I had Sarah take this picture.

What a day!

I don't think I can do an all day park day.

Great pix and free pretzels. Wow. Winning

Believe it or not, I forgot something we did at the Magic Kingdom.  We rode the carousel.

The next day was scheduled to be a day of rest.  After our late night at MK, we planned to sleep in.  However, sleeping in at the All Star Resorts is a rumor.  ASMu was filled with cheerleaders.  Load, unsupervised cheerleaders.  They had been loud and annoying our first night.  Our second morning, they were out early, chanting cheers to wake other cheerleaders.  If anyone ever complains about Fiends being loud in the campground, send them to a value filled with cheerleaders!

We had planned to get to Downtown Disney for shopping and lunch.  We had availed ourselves of the Groupon deal, making Earl of Sandwich even more affordable.  I had the Holiday Turkey.

Sarah had this (I don’t remember the name of her sandwich, but she enjoyed it!)

We spent a lot of time at World of Disney.  Sarah had left her Stitch Pillow Pet at home to comfort the 8yo when we left.  But now she really missed having a pillow pet and wanted to buy another.  I finally talked her out of that, but she did buy a Minie Tsum Tsum instead.

We had a wonderful time wandering through DTD.   The Amphicars were still pretty new, so there was a news team for Spanish speaking news program filming there.

Because we had booked a package, we had two vouchers for Disney Quest.  Sarah wasn’t excited to go, but I wanted to check it out.  It was a blast!  We both enjoyed it very much EXCEPT the Alladin’s Magic Carpets ride.  It was poorly done 3-D which made me nauseous and required wearing a helmet which made me claustrophobic.  Not pleasant at all.

I had planned for us to ride the boat from the West Side back to the Marketplace area and from there to catch a bus back to our resort where we could have sandwiches in our room for dinner.  Unfortunately, I was too nauseous to even stand on the dock, so we started walking back to the Marketplace.  When we reached Raglan Road, we decided to stop and rest.

While we were there, I checked my phone and saw that I had missed a text from Rita (PureTCrazy…Rita).  I got in touch with her and she said she needed to go to DTD and could she and Ed buy us dinner at Raglan Road!  WINNING!!!

We had a delicious dinner and loved the dancing, but best of all was the chance to catch up a bit with Rita and Ed.  Thank you!

Love it!  By the way, the photo of the two of you on the carousel is priceless.  I don't think you could be having any more fun in that photo.

I agree with Dan.  I like the people in the background... they too know you're having a great time!! :)

I love how Sarah bounded as Ariel.  Any other bounding on this trip?

Loving the report - what a special time for you two!

What is "bounding"?   Dressing up like a character??

Disney bounding is not dressing up in a Little Mermaid costume. It's using her style, colors, and character traits to show your Disney side.

If you notice Sarah is wearing similar colors as Ariel, has a necklace that has items from Ariel's treasure vault, and read her t-shirt. And since Sarah has natural red hair she matches there also.

Gotcha.  I did notice how Sarah was dressed...necklace was adorable and her red hair, mercy that is pretty!   But "Disney Bounding"... I had not heard of that.

Yeah RED tell us about that pretty hair.  I heard the story and think she is very clever.

Here are a couple more sites to meander through.  I haven't gotten into Disney Bounding but it sounds like fun.  It is a neat, fashionable way to get around the rule that adults can't dress in costume in the parks (a wise decision on Disney's part, I believe).  This sort of thing takes a lot more creativity and thought anyway.
