Eat Your Heart Out Marty McFly......AC's 1978-1989 Trip Back in Time (updates that go back to 1975 commenced on 3-12-15 )

Recommended Posts

There were wheelchairs parked by the Frontierland Station.

Go away to help at school and look at all I miss.

Too much to comment on all of it.  But I do remember the Diamond Horseshoe review.  My dad was the one who got the mirror on the bald spot during the show we saw.

Pooh was scary.

Let's head to the ole fashioned swimmin hole, shall we?   We start out with a classic Disney relic of the past:       I should stop right here and pick it up later.   Those pics deserve their own up

He's moving even slower than brown paint guy ...

And here we go:                       Do you remember this character experience?     Moving on in Future World:                         Was that a Commodore 64?   How about robot

Pooh was scary looking back then. My older sister said I didn't like the characters on our first 2 trips 79 and 81. After looking at them I now see why.

I don't remember anyone in my family growing up (or my kids) having any issues with characters.

I guess we lucked out.

And does anyone see any of those damn scooters,..NO, you don't, because they weren't around then. How did we ever get along without them?

I'll tell you how, wheelchairs. If you wanted to do the parks that bad in those days, you pushed yourself or someone pushed you. And that's how it should be.

They hadn't invented the VCR or Atari 2600 yet either had they?

Remember the "Beta" vs. VHS war?

I don't think he's scary as much as his stature is like an Oompa-Loompa.

Took my daughter to Kings Island in Ohio when she was 3-4 years old. She saw Jabber Jaw and started screaming - panic screaming. I bet she was heard all the way to Cincinnati.

The legs look a little long to be a pig, but I've never owned one so I can't commit to this answer. :)

Do you remember being on Discovery Island?  So many neat things that have been eliminated from the current line up.

Enjoy your weekend.  Looking forward to 1983.

Well I guess your healthy and no one close to you has a disability or you might fell different.

Doesn't look like any pig I've ever seen.  Or eaten.

Looking forward to 1983.

I didn't think it was a pig either but DW said she thought it might be.  Any idea what it is?

Update coming up!

A new ride opened in Frontierland in 1980, but we had been on WDW hiatus since 1979.

Apparently my parents thought you couldn't bring a new baby to WDW.

While that logic is clearly flawed and my DW and I proved it wrong decades later, my parents did not take us to WDW since early Spring 1979.  We were such deprived children.

So we had missed out on a very important new attraction.

Now it was Spring (i believe) of 1981 and we would need to make up for it.

Why is there a zebra on that float?

Looks like someone's little sibling was pretty upset there was no ice cream in that wagon.

Loving the photos.  Keep them coming.

I didn't notice the zebra before.  I really don't know why it was there.

I did notice something else fairly major though.  I will put that in a separate post though.

So the pics in the wagon really made me do a double take as I reviewed the post.

It seemed younger bro looked way too small for this to be 1983.

I did some digging and made a phone call and am 100% we have only skipped ahead to 1981.

I have edited the last couple updates to reflect that.

My bad for any confusion.

I bet we didn't ride BTMRR until sometime in the early 90's. Every time we went, it was down for rehab.

You are just jealous because Jason looked so cool on his.
