"Flashing, Lap Dances, Balls and a Woody what you missed at WWW 2016"

Sarah and I drove down on Wednesday, 4/27. Adventures on the way down included semi-truck having a blowout two cars in front of us, a humming AC system that meant we drove without AC for the rest of the trip, and a race with Mo and Nicole that we won by 6 minutes!

My first pictures were taken at our hotel for the night, All Star Movies.

Hmmm...  I can't seem to figure out photobucket on my phone. I hope to add more photos later.

Maybe so, but the last time I went into a Starbucks and ordered a Tall Blonde, I ended up sleeping on the sofa for a week.

Sarah should have gotten her photo in front of this creature, they have the same taste in jewelry

Sorry, all the ladies are still recovering, catching up on work, being moms, and other stuff. My pictures are still in the camera in the trailer that I have not touched since I parked it Tuesday night.

Probable still recovering from the party, takes a while to get over some parties.

The Amazing Race - Wild Womenz Edition!!

Purely by chance, we ended up on 95 in SC at the same time as Marty and Sarah.  We never actually saw each other, but through a series of gas and food stops, we passed each other a few times.  We were firmly in the lead entering FL and then, as Nicole described it, I "was not the master of my bladder" and we blew our lead.

The "race" played out on Facebook like this...

  • Martha: Not racing... But we're beating you Monique Nicole ?
  • Jason: I don't know. Nicole Fisher checked in 2 minutes before this check in
  • Nicole: Hahaha!!!!
  • Sarah: DRIVE FASTER, Martha Teese Moir!!!
  • Nicole: Stopped for gas. We are going to pass you guys so fast!!!
  • Jason: Lol. This is fun. Who to root for? Go Marty and Sarah!
  • Monique: No fair. They had 7 less states than we did!
  • Jason: That's just good planning.
  • Monique: What are you driving? Nicole is determined to catch you. Lol
  • Yvonne: Nicole Fisher, you are supposed to be being responsible and not speeding. Remember?
  • Martha: Black Acura.
  • Martha: What are you driving so I can wave as you blow past me?
  • Monique: Black Chrysler 200 loaded with stuff like a sherpa packed it. ;)

As Marty said, she and Sarah crossed the main gate 6 minutes before we did.

Home again!!

26077701004_50ea7835d1_b.jpg

Since Gretchen's reservation started the next day, we planned to help Carol set up the big party tent and plop our air mattress in it for the night... and then just ended up staying there.  :)

26245654884_b01576beb6_b.jpg

Despite the daytime heat (ugh) sleeping in the screen tent was very comfortable. Didn't hurt that we had 4 fans aimed at us!  I actually had to get up the first night and turn one down and grab my blanket.  LOL

Carol still had some work stuff to wrap up, so Nicole and I took a walk.

New roof going on pavilion by the Meadows pool. (it was pretty much done by the time we left)

We popped into the Meadows to poke around.  That's when I asked about cable modems which Jason already reported, the CM said no longer work.

I couldn't remember if there were any recent reports of the David Doss "Fun at Fort Wilderness" prints or not.  The Meadows had them in 3 sizes for $30, $50 & $80.

26079693983_6aaa0364f6_b.jpg

I did get one of the small ones this trip, but not at the Meadows.  More on that later.

We wandered back to the site and grabbed Carol for dinner.  We decided we'd play "boat roulette" to choose.  If a resort boat came first, we'd eat wherever it stopped first.  If the MK boat came, we'd go to the Poly.

This sign is up on the dock letting folks know what they can and cannot take into the parks.  The same sign is outside the park entrances.

Poly it was!! There were seats at the Kona Sushi bar so we decided that's where we'd land. (shocking I know)

Despite the long ride, we dressed up for dinner.  LOL

Octopus salad.  This is the 2nd time I've had this and it was just as delicious.

We eat sushi here a bunch and while it's usually very good, it's not always consistent. It was great this night. The sushi chefs are back behind the bar after a stint over in Kona Cafe for a while, and I noticed some new chefs.  Watching them work, they definitely seemed to know what they were doing.

After dinner we of course had to go downstairs to Pineapple Lanai and get a Dole Whip float!

26550798830_5d0738dc0c_b.jpg

So I love me some Dole Whip float but even I have to admit that they are not all created equal.  I've had some in MK where the Dole Whip was a bit "off" - not so pineapple-y and sometimes with a bit of a funky taste.  Given that there's hardly any actual food in them, not a huge surprise.  ;)  However this one was great!  The Dole Whip was super pineapple-y and delicious. I never got one in the park to compare, but whatever they're doing here that might be different, it's working.

We decided to boat hop back to the Fort and got to MK just in time to catch Wishes while we were waiting for the Fort boat.

After the long ride down, this wasn't going to be a late night. Besides, we had to be well rested for the arrival of the rest of the Wild Womenz! We hung out a bit and turned in relatively early.  I think Nicole and I were asleep 2.4 seconds after our heads hit the pillow.

Way to go, Mo!

Good job reporting on some new developments at WDW.  On a recent trip, while heading through the Polynesian to catch the monorail, I noticed that it looked like the sushi chefs were back actually working at the Kona Sushi Bar.  I wasn't sure if that was what was going on, or if they were just delivering food or something. Good to hear that the chefs are back.

My girls prefer to get their Dole Whips at Pineapple Promenade because you can still get a vanilla/pineapple swirl there.

Looking forward to seeing what else you have to share.

I arrived Tuesday night after a week camping across Georgia and South Carolina (seperate trip report), then "worked" my way down I-95 for a couple of days, and then to the Fort.

I picked up a golf cart from friends and we had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. on Tuesday evening.

On Wed morning, I did some looping after a bit of work.

When I got back from looping, Mo and Nicole had just pulled in, and we set up the party tent, took showers, and went in search for dinner. My first Sushi! It was safe though. Actually just Tempura Shrimp. I am NOT adventurous.

Oh, I have an awesome story to tell from dinner. We were talking to the lady at the bar next to us. We were talking about the Fort and our campers. I mentioned I had a T@B teardrop. She said "I love those campers! Earlier this year I stalked one on the road near my house to get a picture. It was white with blue trim and had Mickey's down the side".

NO WAY!!! She showed a picture from her phone and it was MY CAMPER!! This, as it turned out was in Destin in January. Rick and myself were on a quick weekend trip to Topsail Hill State Park.

Oh, one other development at the Sushi bar. They replaced the stools. The height is just fine for the bar seating along the window, but Waaaaay too high for the bar itself.

More pictures from ASMovies. (My first trip report using my phone is not going well.)

Yay!  That is all my pictures from ASMo.

Marty, I don't know that it would be any easier to do the actual report but with tapatalk you can upload the pictures right from your phone instead of having to use photo bucket.

Love the Mary Poppins pics, my favorite movie.

Okay, let's see if I do better using Tapatalk.

After some quick pictures as we walked to the bus stop at ASMovies, Sarah and got on a bus and headed for Disney Springs. After buying some silly socks - which my 9yo loves and which I dearly hope there are no pictures of me wearing - we decided to look for dinner. The plan had been to eat food I brought from home. That seldom happened this weekend.

Some photos along the way.

We then decided to have dinner at Portabello.

Eventually, we took a bus back to the All Star Resorts. We were in the Love Bug section.
