I tried a template. It failed. I tried stick on dots. Painting the red and peeling off the dots. It failed. I free handed them. They look good at a distance. They are not perfect but my DH said let it go they are fine.

I agree with not being cold. I leave my a/c set at 84 in the summer. I am happy DH is not always thrilled.

I do have a funny Pearl Harbor story. I took my parents there once but because I lived there i opted to stay in the car and read. There are limited tickets. A family walked by the car and someone looked at the license plate. "Look they are from Oregon I wonder if they drove here". I about fell over laughing.

Some of the chigger problem might be that DH wears polyester uniform pants everyday.

Had not thought about chiggers at the fort. DH has a horrible reaction to them. He once had one the size of a quarter. I will pack the chigger repellent for all future visits.

There is one card of numbers 1 thru 20 in each pack. We were able to collect almost all of them last trip. Register the whole family even if only one is playing. You get one pack per person each day. Sometimes people who play a lot will trade you.

I have a cuisinart counter top oven I use in the rv. Would a toaster oven help?

My sandwich of choice as a kid was ketchup and dill pickles.

It is sometimes hard to see the people fresh out of bootcamp already wearing awards. We have been around the Navy several years and it took DH a while before he got his first one in the 80's. Now I look at his and think that is going to cost a fortune to update. He wears them out every few years.

I'm sorry. I would rather be almost anywhere but MD. I just figured out we will be here at least 4 more years.

No egg in the bisquick muffins.

I make a bisquick muffin. Some ideas are pizza (pepperoni, onion, green pepper, mozzarella cheese) or ham and cheese. Whatever combo you can think up. Mix bisquick and milk into a biscuit dough. add meat and veggies. cook in muffin pan at 450 for 8 to 10 minutes. I have also froze these ahead of time. My kids used to like them and I have used them for road and airline trips.
