We took our bikes last time and the cast member in the front of the lodge couldn't figure out where we could leave them. She ended up hiding them in a corner where she could watch them. -

red...Susan replied to Grumpy and Grandma's topic in Trip Reports
We had a great time last year. Most of the difference in cast members is very few college students and LA is a different make up of people than Florida. West coast people are less talkative. -

Shiny New Campers
red...Susan replied to the_Meirkat's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
The lamppost are not hard but they are nerve racking. The drilling of the large globe is a little scary. If you want to private message me I can give you the part numbers we used and answer any more in depth details. DH made mine in March -
My husband and I either walk or ride bikes. We have not rented a golf cart either time we went. There are internal fort busses with several bus stops and I found it not a great distance to walk to anything if you are used to walking. I would recommend a small flash light for after dark. there are a lot of darker areas on the walking paths and they are also used by bikes. the flashlight would make it easier for you to be seen and to see.

We where at the 1700 loop in May with my little very fluffy white dog for two weeks. She stayed clean the whole time. We do not walk her on pavement because she picks up oil off of it but she did not pick up much off of the ground around the campsite.
